Simply list why you like Cloud, and why you like Tifa as characters.
Cloud: Hmm, why do I like Cloud? He's not perfect, in fact he's very far from it. He's got so many inner conflicts and emotions/feelings. He's not really the typical Hero. I remember in the FF forums here on Gaia, someone said that Cloud made a good leader, but I don't really think that's really true. I mean, sometimes he could be, but he was an emotional wreck most of the time. Also, VII's Cloud was a sarcastic jackass, and I loved that. Why do you think I liked Reno as well? XD
AC Cloud and Reno are another story. >> They pissed me off in that movie. Cloud, not so much besides the over-emoness, but Reno definitely. xD A COMIC RELIEF?! How evil.
Oh yeah, Cloud's hawt.
Tifa: Also hawt. xD
Wow, where do I begin?! She's always been my favorite, right from the very start. <3 She's just such a balanced character, with her flaws and pluses. I like how when she realizes her mistakes, she apologizes and tries her best to fix them. I like that she's so strong-willed and can help without being asked to. I've always been a fan of independent female characters, who can think, act, and fight for themselves whilst being humble and not entirely perfect themselves.
Also, I think that Tifa is REALLY a selfless character, and I always envied that in her. ^-^ She was just such a sweetheart to everyone.

Cloud- Is a hottie obviously. Let's see....I'll start with his FFVII personality. When his head was messed up, he was the cool guy, the arrogant, sometimes impulsive leader. At the same time though, he was quite thoughtful and usually didn't do anything reckless. When he found himself, he was confident and even more caring, especially towards Tifa. He's a lot more sensitive then. In AC.....I didn't exactly like his emo self, but even though he was weak, his compassion for his family was still in tact. He loves them, it's quite clear.
Tifa- Beautiful, drop dead gorgeous. Yes, she has ample breasts, but why should it matter when she really doesn't give a care about her own looks?
(Will add more later...I got to go! whee )
Edit cont.: Also, she always puts everyone before her which does lead her to be isolated in a way. It makes her suffer, but she's so selfless that it doesn't matter to her. As long as her friends are happy, what's she got to lose? Tifa is an amazing character and I really admire her. blaugh A definite angel.

Cloud- He's a realistic character. Well, in personality at least. He deteriorates as he loses his confidence in himself (identity and capabilities), but he improves dramatically when Tifa helps piece him together. biggrin
Tifa- I like Tifa because I relate most to her. I really can't say much else.

I like Cloud because he is a strong person, despite all the... unplesant happenings in his life, he still keeps going. Somehow, he is still able to trust others, even though it often bit him in the a**. He is memorable for things like that. He has his faults, and they aren't hidden or suddenly sprung on you, he is powerful but he has more of a humanistic feel, and more than simply kryptonite as a weakness. They made his character someone that the girls want to help, not just want, we feel for him ^^
...He's cute too... I mean how many guys can make a hot vegitable?
With Tifa, she is just refreshing. In a world where beauty is defined by materialistic things, she changes that. She is probably the prettiest girl in the game, and not only does she not try, it does not matter to her. Besides her basic personality, I love her in the game cause she can fight XD better than most. She is persistant, but true to herself. She is strong enough to tell Avalanche that she can't keep going with them, at the moment Cloud means more to her.. that shows simple values that seem to be lacking in a lot of women we see today...

Cloud: I like Cloud cause he's a strong person and yet he doesn't realise how strong he is, this makes him more human as he is aware of his faults and imperfections. He's a complex character, another thing that makes him realistic, . He wants nothing more than to look after people yet doesn't want to burden the people he loves with his problems.
He's also very beautiful, on the inside and on the out
Tifa:What I like about her most is she doesn't need to show off her physical strength or physical beauty to be a strong and beautiful women. she has a natural ellegance that the other female characters lack. And she is prepared to put her "family" before anything else, and you know she values their safety beyond her own.

I like Tifa because, yes, she is hott. She has this sort of mother-like personality, and I deffiently liked that. She also knows how to take care of herself.
As for Cloud... err... he has a really big sword? sweatdrop
I can't really say much about him to be honest.
Well, he was pretty cool in the game, and he does look alot like my boyfriend...
So I guess that's good.

Okay, when I first played [well watched] the game there were the two reasons why I liked Tifa an' Cloud:
Cloud - His hair was amusing....if he ever lost his sword in battle, he could stab the enemy with one of his gravity defying spikes.
Tifa - Her name. My name is Tiffany, so when I saw that her name was similar to mine, I Iatched onto that fact.
I was only like...what, 8 or 9 when the game came out? XD I watched my brother play it because I wasn't talented enough at the time, haha.
No, but now years later....I like Cloud because he isn't perfect....his life isn't either. He's been through so many horrors in his short years, yet he keeps pushing forward. He's a hero but not in that cliche 'I-can-do-anything' kind of way. He needs other people's support, but he hates that...well, dislikes having to depend on someone else because he feels like he's a burden. He's just the kind of character that you want to grab by the shoulders, shake and slap some sense into. Especially AC Cloud. FFVII Cloud wasn't so bad....I liked his sarcastic badass self at the beginning XD.
Tifa....she's the character that I can relate to the most [and NO not because of the name XD]. I like that she poses as a lot of the characters' rock, offering her support, yet never asking for anything in return. She's so selfless that's it's painful to watch sometimes. She's a sweetheart but she isn't a push-over either....I hate the damsel in distress, so I liked that she could take care of herself. As I said with Cloud...I like that she's flawed. It makes her more human and likeable...you end up rooting for her.
OH yeah and they're both hawt, especially together XDDD

Cloud
He was my first video game character crush. Lol. I loved him to death when I was like...seven years old. Of course...back then, as ashamed as I am to admit it now, I also had a crush on Shaggy Rogers from Scooby-Doo. gonk Horrible, ain't it? Lol.
But. While I still think he's hotter than hot, I also like him for his realistic-ness. Sure. His emotional unstableness isn't exactly ordinary, but he does suffer from it. He's not that perfect hero you usually see. He's not the type that can lead. He actually needs the support his party members give him. Whereas your standard perfect hero can pretty much save the world with little to no help from their friends.
And also. Like Foxy said, his hair was lol worthy. Looks absolutely deadly in the original graphics from FF7. xD
Tifa
Tifa was my favorite character from the get go when I first played. She fought with her hands and feet, and I always thought that was awesome. She was also pertyful. And while my favorite color HAD been pink, and I HAD liked Aerith, she just wasn't appealing to me. So Tifa was my favorite character. (Back then...all the characters I liked where pretty much female. I tended to be a bit...ahem...sexist. Should of heard the Sailormoon vs DBZ arguments me and my younger brother had. XD)
As I got older and played more, Tifa became my favorite character not just for her prettyness and coolness, but because I finally took notice to what an amazing character she was personality wise. And also, like Cloud, she was realistic. She wasn't perfect, she had her flaws. You could relate to her. She had the problems every day people had (minus saving the planet from a loony taking orders from his mother xD).
And that's why I love Tifa and Cloud! =D They are so perfect for each other.

Yay! whee Well, seems kind of random that I jump in like this, but after reading all these response to why everyone likes Cloud and Tifa, it makes me feel all happy inside. biggrin And I was having a bad day too. whee
