This is the dream
I had gone to a pet store an bought a hampster
A couple of days later I went to the cage and was shocked to find a little grey new born hampster baby with a Squirrel's tail laying outside the cage. I went to pick it up and for 1/2 of the dream I was chasing it around the house trying to catch it to prevent it from getting too far from it's mom and getting hurt. Once I caught it I put it in the cage with its litter and saw there were 2 small clusters of (proper) new born hampster babies and 3 adult size pom-pom shaped hampsters, one with a rat tail and the second had Furbie (the toy) eyes (nothing special about the third except for the pom-pom shape and hampster face). Once the squirrel-tailed baby was in the nest, my original hampster came out of her burrow and sat on my hand. And I took her out and placed on my shoulder. She too has a slight pom-pom look/feel, especially when she curled up into a ball on my shoulder, but was definatly a hampster with a light blue/grey, and white body (very pretty).
Some things to note. I was seeing this dream in first person (through my own eyes as an adult) The pet store bit was brief and looked like one of my local pet stores. The Squirrel-tailed baby, if I had taken a magnifying glass and got a better look probably could have been a mini (adult)squirrel, just pudgier and less defined to make it look like a newborn baby. While I was chasing the grey squirrel-tailed baby, I was pleased that my hampster had babies, although confused as she should have been in an all-female pen (but you never know what could have happened in the pet store). And the house was where I grew up and the cage was in my old bedroom. Also my hampsters fur was a lighter shade of my rl eye colour.
