Always. He always chased her. She was elarning though, how to avoid him when he tried to land on her back. She would flap her wings like mad, and hop, twist.
It was very tiring. Finally, exhausted, she hung her head, hissing as she felt him land on her back, claws digging in to freshly closed wounds and twisting. Small drops of blood fell to the ground, and her wings went wild again. "Off!" she screamed, frustrated. "Off of me, now!"
She heard the hawk scream, felt him loose her, and take to the air. Angry, she reared up, striking at him with her front hooves, before guilt at wanting to harm another living creature sank down on her, causing her to still. What was she becoming? She had lived with this pain before. Yes, it hurt, but there were others out there who suffered from much worse than she. And here she was, denying her only companion a place to rest.
But he hurt her. She was reminded of the mare who had confronted her, snapping. "I don't have to put up with it." she whispered to herself softly. "I don't have to let him hurt me. I'm bigger than he is." the words tumbled out, a softly worded reminder. "I wouldn't let him pick on anyone else. SO STOP PICKING ON ME!" She yelled the last words at the hawk, hovering in the air in front of her.

She'd left Telikos to find the Lady. Someone had to make sure she hadn't walked into a river and drowned after all. She'd gone off to explore the area while there wasn't anyone to stop her. She needed to know what was around if she was going to be useful in any ways. It was as if Teli would remember to tell her unless she demanded details.
It had been uneventful so far and she'd started to think that it would be best to head back toward where she told the white stallion she'd be when she caught the sound of someone else.
Whoever it was didn't sound all that happy and her instincts wouldn't let her leave without investigating. When she saw a winged mare being, well tormented, by a bird she raised a brow.
"You are aware that screaming like that will attract the worse sort of attention aren't you?"

She was holding her own. She really was! Until a strange voice spoke from nowhere, sending Odile spinning and down into an almost feline crouch, eyes scanning for the source. Rothbart proceeded to settle down on her back, croaking out a grateful thanks to the stranger, digging his claws into Odile.
The stranger was a pretty mare, from a distance looking to be just a bit taller in the shoulders than Odile herself, with long black hair, and silver on her legs.
No red. No blood, thank the heavens, no blood. Odile felt herself start to melt down into a shaky pile in the leaves, ignoring the hawk on her back. "Can the worst attention take the pain away?" she whispered softly. "Make the hurting stop, and make me real again?" Because she wasn't real. Not really. This world was different from her own, and it was a nightmare. All she wanted was to go home, where it didn't hurt, and she could walk on the clouds again...
