 Duncan was somewhere near HQ lounging beneath a tree, tails flicking back and forth, flop, flop. He was feeling very relaxed, comfortable, and all around good. His little notepad and pen were tied securely to his foreleg, as usual. After all, if he ran into someone he might need to communicate right?
Mmm... man was it a nice day. The weather had started cooling off again and at the moment it was just right. Could today get any better? Well... he hoped it would, but if it stayed like it was he'd be happy too.

 Ahdahnia was chasing a dragonfly around the HQ, she was sure it was a dragonfly she'd chased before, but then again, they all looked the same to her. Either way she didnt care, she was having fun! She giggled as she lept and jumped through the air. She very nearly ran into Duncan, having been so engrossed in her dragonfly chasing. She gave a yelp of surprise, her dual colored eyes going wide in surprise.

Startled by the yelp since he'd been practically dozing, Duncan blinked and looked up. He flicked an ear and then a wide smile spread across his face and he waved a paw at her before tugging his notepad and pen out. He quickly scrawled a note on a fresh sheet of paper, Hello Ahdahnia! How are you? Are you enjoying this lovely day too? He wagged his tails when he was finished... seeing her always seemed to make his day. Even when it already seemed made beforehand.

Ahdahnia giggled, covering her maw with her paw as she did so. She smiled and pointed to the dragonfly she'd been chasing and nodded, a bright smile coming over her face. She scribbled on his notepad ves, 'ow are vou old vriend? even her writing had an accent. She looked at her writing, and blinked, before bursting out into giggles. Oh well. Her accent was part of who she is.

Duncan laughed with her, a very soft sound the only audible indication that he was doing so. His posture made up for the lack, however. I'm doing well. :3 Better now that one of my favorite people is here. =P And you don't have to write unless you just want to. I like the way your voice sounds. :3 How have you been? Honestly he thought her accent was cute, and he really didn't have any trouble understanding her. Maybe he was just used to listening more closely to people because he himself was quiet?

Ahdahnia smiled again, her tails wagging softly behind her. She nodded at his note, she felt more comfortable talking around Duncan then most others, maybe it was because he always seemed to understand her "alright" she said with a light giggle "I 'ave been...vell" she nodded firmly, still smiling "Vy aunt 'ad eggs, so i've been vatching over zhem for 'er." she beamed. She loved eggs, and kits. But then again, she was pretty much a big kid herself.

Duncan grinned. Kids are great... Wish I was around 'em more. I keep teasing mom about giving me some little brothers and sisters. She's a silly girl, my mom. He shrugged and smiled some more. Then she teases me about finding a mate and taking care of it myself.

Ahdahnia grinned, watching Duncan. "Vhy dont 'ou?" she asked, head tilted to the side, her eyes sparkled with innocence, even despite all she's experianced and seen. Her father often wondered if anything would deminish it, but a bigger part wished nothing would. "Vou're such a nice guy, eets a surprise vour still single!" she said with a firm nod of her head, and another grin. She honestly didnt see why Duncan was single, sure he was a silent kinda guy, but that just ment he listened better! It was hard to find a guy to listen.

Duncan just sat there for a moment before slowly flicking his ears forward. I... don't know? I haven't met that many girls I really like in that sort of way... Not that there isn't one. I guess I never thought to ask her if she'd be interested? He tilted his head, looking thoughtful. You really think someone would like me that much? I worry that people think my lack of speaking is creepy or weird... At least, not everyone seems to understand it. He shrugged. Apparently he'd run into people who were bothered by his method of communication as much as others couldn't understand Ahdahnia's accent.

Ahdahnia waved a paw at him " vo please" she said with an airy giggle "I 'vind eet charming" she said with a n** of his ear "eef vhey cant get past vou'r vay of speaking, vhey arnt vorth eet" she said with a bright smile.

Duncan flicked his ears forward in mild suprise. Charming? Really? He stared at her for a long moment before turning his gaze down to the notepad with a thoughtful expression. He suddenly seemed a bit... nervous? Finally he picked the pen up again.
I... er... well, that girl I mentioned I like? Is you... He turned his head from the notepad just enough to peek up at her from the corner of his eye before looking back down. Maybe it's silly but I liked you ever since I met you the first time...

Ahdahnia peered over Duncan's shoulder as he wrote, when she reached the last part, she blinked. Dual colored eyes going wide in surprise. Her? He liked....her? No one ever liked her. What was that saying? Always a brides maid, never a bride. That was her. "Me..." she said softly, more to herself. She then broke out into a big grin, and flung her paws around Duncans neck, hugging him and nuzzling his cheek "'vo Duncan..." she said with a giggle "I like vou too" she said with a girlish giggle.

Duncan felt himself blush, though his tails wagged enthusiastically. His expression said better than his pen ever could how suprised, and delighted, he was that she actually liked him too. Impulsively he gave her an experimental peck on the cheek, blushing even harder, though the change in color was hidden by his dark fur except for near the tips of his ears and right around his nose where it didn't grow as thickly. So... what did he do now? He was a bit at a loss...

Ahdahnia giggled, her own tails wagging softly. She nuzzled him, and rested her head on his shoulder "Can i ask vou somezhing" she asked gently, feeling a bit self concious about her accent. As it sometimes happened. It still got to her.

Duncan tilted his head, then nuzzled the top of hers before nodding. As an afterthought he grabbed his notepad. If it's about me, I don't have anything to hide. :3 If it's about something else, eh... I'll try to help but I don't necessarily know a lot about many things. Hehe. He smiled at her.
