{{Setting- In the forest, and nearby, a lake, Time- Around midnight}}Evadne sighed, leaning her head against a tree that she stood next to. Being careful though, so as to not ruin the rose that was adorned in her hair. It had gotten pretty late now, but she felt restless, despite how her body wanted her to stop and sleep. She stopped leaning against the tree and lightly shook her mane, trying to release some of the hairstrands that the bark still clinged to.
Evadne started to head off through the forest, feeling quite parched. She had recalled that there was a lake close by, perhaps she could try and find it? She shivered as she continued on; The autumn night air sending chills all throughout her body. She stopped for a moment, wondering if she should just stop and seek a much more warm place and rest. Nah, she could probably handle a few more hours, there wasn't much of a need to rest now.

The night was far too beautiful to sleep through. How could he just let tonight slip away without him enjoying it at least a little? He couldn't. The large gray stallion gracefully weaved his way through the trees that were close to the water that would help make the night just that much more gorgeous. A small, peaceful sigh slipped from the stallion's maw as he looked around at the almost pitch black night.
If not for the huge moon that kept the earth lit up, everything would be pitch black. Was it the moon that was making this night so nice? The white moon with the pitch black sky? Who knew. A noise in the distance made the spotted stallion turn around quickly to see whatever, or whomever it was making their way towards him. What was that odd sound? Jingling and hoof beats? Apple blinked his eyes then turned his body to face whomever it was that was making the odd noises.

{{Sorry that its pretty small x3;}}
Evadne began to realize the trees starting to slowly part more, had she found the lake? Starting to go at a slight trot, she passed through a pair of trees, stopping immediately as she came across another soquili, a grey male. There was another soquili up at this late of an hour too? Well at least she would have some company tonight...or perhaps not? "Oh, I'm sorry, I hope I'm not intruding or anything...", she calmly said, drawing herself back abit. He seemed pretty tall, to anger him was the last thing that she wanted to do.

Apple blinked at the pure white mare, trying to keep from chuckling at himself for being afraid of a sweet mare. He shrugged a little at himself then nodded his head gently as a hello to the mare. "No, you aren't intruding at all." The stallion said kindly as he looked up at the dark sky. What was a mare doing up so late? What was anyone doing up this late? Why was she alone? It wasn't good for one to be alone at such late hours of the night. Maybe she was lost...? Apple gently shrugged his thoughts away then walked over to the water and dipped his head down to sooth his dry feeling throat.

Evadne lightly breathed out in relief, happy to know that she hadn't bothered him in any way. She slowly walked forward over to the edge of the lake, pausing as she watched the stallion look up into the sky. She raised her head up torward the sky too, her eyes widened as she marveled at the small stars that sparkled alongside the moon. They were a whole lot easier to see out here than the forest, with the tree tops covering up the sky. She let out a small dreamy sigh, feeling more calm than ever.
Evadne started to look back at the lake, suddenly remembering why she had come here in the first place. She followed behind the stallion, going over to an edge of the lake, moving a little ways away so as to give him some space. She leaned her head down onto the lake's water, feeling more and more refreshed with ever gulp of cool water that she took. When she was done, she raised up one of her knees up, lightly brushing her maw to remove some of the excess water.
Evadne then regained full posture, feeling quite unsure as to what to do now, there being a long silence between her and the stallion, save for the small sounds of rippleing water. "I'm Evadne" She suddenly said out of the blue.

When he was replinished, the large, spotted stallion rubbed his maw against his leg before lifting his head. The stars quietly sat watching everything and everyone that was out on this dark night. Apple stretched out his legs a little as he stood in the silence, listening to the quiet, soothing sound of the water trickling past the two of them. The silence was actually quiet nice and welcoming tonight, unlike any other night.
While the silence strayed on a little longer, Apple thought about his companion Maylin, the small blue wolf that sometimes followed him around. She was quietly sleeping in the teepee with their two legger that was also probably sleeping. The trusty wolf, Maylin always kept the owner of the teepee safe from harm, as did the bear Sweetheart who, just like her name, was a sweet bear.
When the white mare broke the silence, Apple quickly snapped out of his thoughts. It took him a second to put what the mare said together, but then he answered with a polite nod of his head, "Its nice to meet you Evadne; I am Apple-oosa, but you can call me Apple."

Evadne watched the stallion intently, taking in his response to her introduction. "Mm...Apple-oosa...," She said in a mystified tone, pondering on the name. "Interesting name", she said with a friendly smile on her face. As she quickly overlooked Apple's appearance, she could see now why his name was as it was, noticing the design of apples and blossoms on his side. "Well...its quite a pleasure to meet you, Apple" She said.
Evadne paused for a moment, moving one of her hooves into a sort of circular manner along through the grass. She couldn't just leave so suddenly now, could she? Well she didn't meet a lot of soquili often; it was a good chance for her to try and socialize with another one of her kind. "So, what would you be doing on such a... wonderful night?" She said, feeling a bit hesitant on her sudden question; she didn't want to seem too nosey.

"Your name is interesting as well." The spotted stallion said as he looked to the pure white mare's beautiful blue eyes. For some reason the stallion liked the color of blue eyes. He didn't know why, but there was something about blue eyes. Also, he like gray eyes, but that was probably because they reminded him of his mother's. His head gently shook as he heard the mare's question.
"Oh, I couldn't sleep through this wonderful night. How could I miss such an almost perfect night?" He asked as he smiled to the mare. Apple's eyes glanced down at the mare's saddle that lay upon her back. It had been a while since he had seen a soquili with something like that on them. "May I ask you what you are doing out so late?" The tall, apple butted stallion blinked then lifted his head to look up at the moon.

Evadne directed her eyes down to the ground, blushing abit from Apple's replying compliment. Though she was sure that he was probably just being polite. She felt selfconcious though as she sensed his gaze upon her. She looked up into the sky, taking in it's beauty once more. "Yes..it is quite nice", she said, taking in a deep breathe of the cold night air; feeling a little more relaxed. She looked up to Apple as he asked his question. "Oh? Well...I guess I've just been feeling kinda restless lately. I can't seem to be able to sleep as easily." Evadne supposed that that was due to the change of the weather and how it was becoming a little more chilly than usual.

Apple shrugged his shoulders a little. "I luckily haven't had trouble sleeping in a while." He said as his eyes glanced up at the sky then at the water. The moon made the water look very interesting, like a dream of some sort. The spotted stallion let out a small yawn then blinked his light gray eyes. "Hopefully you will be able to get to sleep later." He said, trying not to let the conversation die. Apple had nothing to talk about, or at least nothing this mare would care about. "Why do you have a saddle on your back?" The apple bummed stallion finally asked.

Evadne dug one of her forehooves into the grass, looking away from the sky and just looking on infront of her. She just stared into the trees and bushes that lined up by the river, similar to the way the trees were behind her. "I hope I can get some rest soon as well." She replied, not really staring at anything specific. "I'm not really fond of staying awake at night. It gets a bit lonely, and quite frightening to be by one's self." A sort of confused expression appeared on her face as she heard Apple's question.
Evadne never really did think back on her saddle, or the rest of her attire for that matter. She just kept wearing it; using it as an "instrument" to differentiate herself from others. "Well, theres no specific reason. I...just like wearing it?" She said, directing her eyes up to Apple. She wasn't exactly sure how to answer him.

Apple's gray eyes gazed at the mare as she dug into the grass. He too was frightened of the night, but of course he wouldn't tell anyone that. "The night isn't that scary if you are in the right places, like right here where the moon is shining bright." He said glancing up at the moon. The spotted stallion looked into the water for a second at the moon and the sky. "Also the stars are shining as bright as can be." He added before looking back at the pure white mare.
"Oh... well I like it. It makes you unique." Apple said with a slight nod of his head. "Like my Apples and flower on my side." He said glancing back at the apples that covered him. Of all the horses he had met he hadn't seen very many with apples on them. His long mane and tail were knotted up a little from the lack of brushing. The two legger he lived with would soon brush them out though, she never failed to.

Evadne looked up into the night sky, starting to fully examine the way the stars shimmered across the night sky. She then compared the sight of the lake to the darkness and shadows of the trees. Things did, indeed, seem more calming and safe out here. Sure, it was more out in the open, but at least she was able to see most of her surroundings here. She looked back over to Apple, then moved her gaze over to the small clump of dirt that she had created with her hoof. "Why yes, the moonlight really does seem to help shed away fears."
Evadne grinned at the stallion's compliment, "Why..thank you.", she said, absorbing in what he said. She looked over to Apple's pelt, looking at his markings for a few seconds before replying, "I find your markings to be quite interesting and unique as well. For nature to mimic the image of an apple onto your coat; quite interesting..."

Apple closed his eyes for a second, just listening to all the sounds around them. A calm silence fell and he felt himself calm more quickly. It was a nice silence, not one of those that you want to break. A smile graced his maw before he opened his eyes and broke the silence with an answer to the mare's comment. "And the stars always help whenever the moon is hiding behind clouds." The grey, spotted stallion answered. His eyes were now focused on the tiny stars that were shinning as bright as they could. It truly was a nice evening to be out and about.
Most others did find his markings quite interesting, he even found them rather interesting. "Thank you." Apple answered, lowering his eyes to look at the mare. His grey eyes looked in the distance at nothing. A tree here, a rock there, nothing special really.

Brushing a hoof over the small pile of grass and dirt that accumulated from her circling and digging, Evadne flattened and quietly patted the small patch down as she realized how odd her previous actions possibly seemed. She supposed it was just her nerves before...but warming up to the stallion was a lot easier than she expected, and he seemed pretty trustworthy. There certainly wasn't any need for her to be nervous, was there?
She then redirected her attention back up to the night sky upon hearing Apple's reply. "Stars can be pretty useful in certain situations. It is quite a relief though for tonight's sky to be clear." The glow of the moon and the stars in unison; the bright night lights they gave off, as well as beauty. It certainly made her happy to be where she stood, no matter how late it was. Any other possible regrets she had seemed to just disappear.
