A lone mare stood atop a small hill staring listlessly into the distance. Morgana was already a quiet and reserved mare but lately so many stallion had seemed to reject and leave her to wonder by herself that it left her wondering if there wasn't a single one out there with a sense of chivalry left. She let a soft breeze blow through her short cropped mane and soft brown coat.
Finally she let out a soft sigh and strode forward. Her head was lowered in a dejected manner. Her brown eyes were down cast and she didn't look up for any reason, not even to see where she was going. She let the world pass by her not giving a care in the world to what happened in it, she had seen so many couples having kids, and even if kids weren't her first idea of what she wanted she was still affected by the sight of the happy pairings and she was so bitterly alone.
She knew very well she could blame the stallions though, she was just a plain jane mare with nothing that was special about her. She flicked her tail and paused looking up at the sky, she felt a slight twang of hope to find a friend and maybe something more soon but only the fates knew what the day before her had in store. After saying a silent prayer to whatever god might be listning she strode forward once more.

The form of a small stallion made its way up the very hill Morgana stood on. The beads in his braided hair jingled softly and his tail flicked every so often in thought. He seemed to be thinking a lot lately.
He'd found his sister, one goal accomplished, he'd made a friend or two, another goal accomplished, but what now? He'd love to find a someone to settledown, but who would want to settle for a hopeless romantic like him? He was nothing but a small stallion with nothing great to offer but his heart. Pfft...
His icey blue gaze flickered about, taking in everything, but nothing at all. It took him a second to fully register that he was headed towards a rather dejected looking female, and by the time he finally did figure it out he had already bumped into her.
"Ouf!" He stumbled back enough to allow the mare her space, shaking his head. "I'm so sorry! Are you alright, miss?" He glanced over her frame, momentarily noting that she was rather pretty, nothing jumped out at him to say that she was hurt, but he could be wrong.

Morgana staggered slightly when another body slammed into her smaller frame. She stood for a moment and blinked rapidly then turned her eyes slowly to the dark crimson and black figure who was talking now. She wanted to flintch at the sight of a stallion, a handsome one that would probably talk to her for awhile then run off like all the others.
After a moment she found her voice to speak and slowly made her head raise up a little. "Yes I'm alright it's fine accidents happen..." she had a soft voice with no real character to it, it was hollow like her eyes seemed to be, they were devoid of happiness and cheer.
Morgana flicked her short cut tail lightly back and forth across her brown sparkly hide. A feather that hung form a shirt braid tickled her neck which made her shake her head for a moment to try and relive the itch.
She finally turned her eyes up to him and ended up locking gazes with his soft icey blue orbs, for a moment she stared unable to say much of anything then looked away quickly a soft blush tinting her cheeks.

Arsenic shook his head ba bit and pawed the earth softly with one of his front hooves. "No, I should have been watching where I was going. It was all my fault, I shouldn't be careless." He flicked his tail a bit. She sounds to distant, so hurt. Broken.
When her eyes caught his he didn't want to look away. Those gorgeous orbs held no emotion behind them. Completely locked away from the outside world. He forgot about all his worries earlier, now soley concerned about this one mare. What in these lands cause her to be so emotionless and distanced from everyone else? "You're absolutely sure you're okay? I'd feel horrible if I hurt you..." His voice was soft and caring.

She smiled slightly at him, but it was hollow and emotionless like everything else about her. "It's alright, at least you had the courtesy to apologize," she flicked her tail back and forth lightly across her rump. She flicked her ears lightly "I'm Morgana, it's a pleasure to meet you ... " she paused slightly "... I don't believe I caught your name." She smiled again and it had the faintest hint of amusement in it.
Another cool wind whipped across her back, the winter was coming on quick and she didn't feel to thrilled about that but for now she focused on the crimson and black stallion before her. He seemed nice enough but she worried he'd be like all the other stallions who just talked to her for awhile then ran off.

Arsenic cocked his head to the side slightly. "I believe if youdo something wrong you should apologize. I can't imagine why some others don't see that. Air-headed I suppose." He bowed his head slightly to her. "Lovely name, Morgana. I'm sorry, my name is Arsenic."
The cool wind felt nice has it carassed his fit body. He closed his eyes for a moment to relish in the sensation. He liked the beginning of winter, when things were just starting to cool of. It made the air feel nice, instead of heavy and gross like the summer air was. But he didn't like the biting cold of mid-winter, that was something he could do without.
"Mares shouldn't be out alone, don't you think? There are many dangerous creatures about."

She flicked her tail, "others in this world are rude, and brutish." She tossed her mane slightly and let out a disgruntled snort at the thought of how stupid many soquili seemed to act.
Another cool breeze whipped across her back, she was enjoying the onset of fall and winter glad that summers heat was finally being driven away. His next words startled her for a moment though because she'd grown up around a strong independent mare, of course that mare had been a kalona.
A smile that was genuine actually crossed her face for a fleeting moment, "I'm not afraid of what goes bump in the night, when I was a foal I tended to stay unbearably clsoe, for her anyway, to a kalona mare and she taught me well the art of how to defend myself."

Arsenic gave a small smile at her dislike for the ones who lacked chivalry. She was a bit amusing with her aggitated ways.
But she concerned him a little when she mention being unafraid of the darker creatures. Even he had a slight fear of the night-ones. But much-more, she had been RAISED by one of these evils. "A kalona mare? I get the feeling you are lucky to be alive... that or she had more of a heart then myths would lead me to believe."

Morgana nodded her head "She did at one time ... but when she left our teepee I feel that some creature had sucked what little was there out of her. She taught me well how not to fear those bigger ands stronger than me but to have knowledge and know how to use brains of brawn and that one needs to know when to run rather than stand."
She hopped her views didn't set him off, he seemed to be nice enough and one of the only stallion that had ever tried to get to know her more than just random talking.
"I Don't take my adoptive mother's stands on lessers and all that as I was raised by my father as well, whom one would never know was my father besides the sparkles we Shade..even then we still don't look the same," she had to laugh at that because it was true. "I just never really saw my mother when I was growing up, hence why Shade raised me."

Arsenic cringed at her first sentence. What if their was a creature that could do that? "That's sad, but those are wise words." He chuckled a bit, wondering just what her father DID look like. "Well that was rather kind of her. There really must be good in everyone." He smiled at this.
"It must havebeen hard to not have your real mother around, though. I don't know what I would do if my mother hadn't been around. But I seemed to have lost her, and the rest of my family. I left to find my sister, and I seem to have become lost, though I found my sister." He expression turned to almost depression. How he missed his family so!

((I might throw her father in later on for fun XD))
Morgana smiled slightly almost retreating back into the shell that had cracked a little as she'd talked of Shade. As a foal she'd loved the kalona mare seeing as she'd never seen her mother as much as she should have. "Shade was wise in those years, but she changed so suddenly on us, but yes I do believe every creature has some kind of good in them even skinwalkers." she shook her head sadly and frowned deeply her short tail flicking.
"I'm glad you found her, my family is big enough that I barely know part of it. I get my Plane Jane looks from my mom, some say my dad looks like he's on an acid trip because he is so brightly colored and sparkley."
She noted his depressed look and tilted her head, he obviously loved his family dearly. She thought for a long moment then nipped lightly at his cheek and danced off in an attempt to activate some play to cheer him up. "I'll race ya to the lake!"
