Summer breaks were over and the students of both schools, Yin and Yang, had found themselves awfully carefree despite the war they knew will come.

In Yin, a number of students had began to flood the front grounds. Some were already chatting with friends whom they have not seen, some being anti-social, some complaining about how short summer break was, and some just minding their own businesses.

[Val]

"Nine months... Nine months trapped here."

[OoC]

A black-haired woman sat on the top of a high wall in the Yin school, staring at the people present. She did this for a few minutes with no one knowing what was on her mind, not caring or even noticing she was there. After moments, she blandly looked away.

["Kat"]

"Hn... I don't know how I can put up with brats like these. I always wonder why I don't get a better job."

*sits cross-legged then stares, watching, every student [not really minding her fellow teachers] present*

A messy black-haired woman sat on a branch of a tree, listening to her mp3 player at full blast. One of her legs were dangling of the branch, slightly swinging in the breeze. She bobbed her head to the music and at the same time, eyed the students of the school as she scribbled notes on her notebook that sat on her lap. A slightly creepy smile crept upon her features.

[Mello]

"Yes...these are excellent data..."

["Kat"]

*has entered a quiet room, seemingly a classroom, and has sat on her chair, feet on her table*

"Brats are going to be here soon."

[OoC]

Time passed quickly. Only an hour left 'til classes start. Old students would come along, some greeting her, others not. Most of them wouldn't. They know she wouldn't care. They know how she was.

But new students don't. They would be so interesting, and so fun to torture. Yes, who they know of as Kat loved to experiment on the patience of the students.

A couple of students entered the room. Their faces, Kat was glad to see, were new and unfamiliar.

["Kat"]

"I'll do my best to make this year fun."

*smirks at seeing the newcomers whose faces she's never seen before*

["Kat"]

*groan*

"They are so loud."

*shrug*

"Same old, same old. This happens every year."

[OoC]

The newcomers looked at her questioningly. Three of them, really. They whispered to one another.

"She's our teacher?"
"I guess."
"I don't like her."
"She's scary."

["Kat"]

*glares at the three, but smirks*

"Oh, you don't know me brats, you don't know me."

[OoC]

The three students, a girl and two boys, shivered slightly, wondering how she had heard them when they where in a far corner, far from her. It felt weird to them, strange, as they heard a small "Hn." coming from her. Yes, they didn't know her at all, or what was in store for them this year.

A huge crowd of students began to gather around Val and the boy her thread was dangerously pointing at.

"Who is she?"

"I dunno."

"What's her power?"

"What is that she's pointing at him?"

"She's scaring me."

"We're not supposed to be fighting with each other but with the other school."

"They're both crazy."

The boy narrowed his eyes as Val's lips formed into a smirk. He then got his knife out and tried to cut the threatening thread from Val's hand.

[Val]

*laughs*

"It's not like I'm walking alone into the valley of the shadow of death
Stand beside one another, 'cause it ain't over yet
I'd be willing to bet that if we don't back down
You and I will be the ones that are holding the Crown in the end
When it's over, we can say, "Well done"
But not yet, 'cause it's only begun"

"Surprised?"

*back flips as boy tried to kick her*

"So, pick up, and follow me, we're the only ones
To fight this thing, until we've won
We drive on and don't look back
It doesn't mean we can't learn from our past
All the things that we mighta done wrong
We could've been doing this all along "

*points two fingers at the foot of the boy, string comes out from under her long sleeves and ties itself around the ankle of the boy*

"Everybody, with your fists raised high
Let me hear your battle cry tonight
Stand beside, or step aside
We're on the frontline "

*pulls arm upward*

"And we'll be carrying on, until the day it doesn't matter anymore
Step aside, you forgot what this is for
We fight to live, we live to fight
And tonight, you'll hear my battle cry "

The boy fell backward with a loud thud. Just where did those strings come from?

From her fingers?

From her palms?

If only her sleeves weren't so darn long.

She must have something that produced them, or controled them at least.

He stood up and charged at her.

[Val]

'If I didn't have these bangles, I'm sure he'd be dead by now... I'm thankful for whoever made this control device for me. It doesn't hurt now... It won't...'

*thinks to self, realizes that the boy stood up again*

"Darn."

*raises arm, string hastily clasps onto a tree; swings across the school grounds*

[OoC]

The boy gaped as Val swung past his head and near the main door.

[Val]

*sighs*

"You're wasting my time. All I wanted was to check what class I was in."

*runs inside school building towards her classroom*

'At least swinging over him helped catch a quick glance at the list...'

[Val]

*bursts into classroom door*

"If I'm late, I blame it on the idiot that pulled my headphones!"

[OoC]

What she announced to the whole classroom was something that was just to be yelled in her mind.

Somehow, it got out.
