Akatsuki should be at same level, if not lower as a kage in terms of chakra and HP. sad

A-men man! I agree, and there should be a sannin rank that is just as strong as kage, after all, only one person in a village can be kage.

Truth, the only reason jiraiya Isn't hokage is because he felt he lacked the responsibility to do so.

Very true i think that this should be resolved i bet the 4th could have easily beaten members of Akatsuki besides Akatsuki ae s ranked criminals not the best ever ninja

I know, this is very true, and I would normally agree to change this. But the problem is, when story arcs begin, the akatsuki will be the main enemies. If kages are stronger, than the akatsuki will easily be killed, ending the storyline immediatly. Than I would need to create a whole new storyline to the guild. Think about it this way. What if, at the beginning of Naruto, Naruto started off more powerful than the Hokage? He would probably be the Hokage pretty early in the series. Than what would the creator do? gonk

I dunno, make the Kage's and Akatsuki of equal power, and maybe Sannin, just a little lower than Kages, but higher than Jounin and Anbu

They should be of EQUAL power the kages should not be stronger. The sannins should be the current kage level. Orochimaru nearly DIED with the help of TWO count em TWO ressurected kages at his side against ONE hokage.
That's pretty beast.

I say everyone should stay the same.
The Akatsuki should be feared, and for good reason! If they are of the same power as us Kages, then why would we fear them?
I just beat an Akatsuki in the practice subforum. But all of it relies on luck, planning, and the die roll. Plus, teamwork is the key to beating an Akatsuki member. If you combine you're jutsus together, then anything is possible.
Every rank should stay the same. But I agree there should be more difference between Jounin, Anbu, and Sannin.
That the only area I have a problem with.

akatsuki should stay more powerful they're the only ones who can kill a jinchuuriki.
((and if someone says the 4ths name i'll snap them like twig ninja ))
the only reason he won is becasue he commited suicide..
oorochimaru started out the fight playing around and then when sarutobi summoned death ((hinthint another both of us die move)) orochimaru got serious and his only wound was he couldn't use his arms which didn't stop him because of his immortality skill he changed bodies shortly though; AND! when he didn't have and arms and couldn't use jutsus he still took out tsunade sama once and fended of both her and jaraiya for a while.
So nyah.! blaugh heart

I'm new here, but I can see some misconceptions. Don't take this like DBZ. In Naruto, people can still die from ordinary things. I can see the actual ninja reflection in this series, experience and skill. I mean, Orochimaru is an S-Class criminal along with Itachi, but Itachi still kept a severe advantage against Orochimaru. Naruto is a genin, but his strength is surpassing even a Jounin like Kakashi, as we saw what happened to Kakuzu.
Ranks mean nothing anymore, as they are just titles to classify 'known' information skill level of the shinobi in every village. You can be a Genin but with a kage level strength for all we know.

Maybe we should toss out Anbu and keep Sannin, or vice-versa. Then, we should make the one we keep have a jounin's health/chakra but give them five hit dice and the ability to use S-rank jutsus.
And Shinnidamachu... what does Orochimaru have to do with anything?? He's a sannin, NOT an akatsuki member, so his strength is irrelevant.

They were talking about orochimaru's fight against the hokage. And for your information yes he is a sannin but he was also an akatsuki but he left to pursue greater power. talk2hand

Only when Orochimaru found out that it was impossible to get Itachi's body. He then decided to get someone less dangerous, henceforth Sasuke.
