User ImageArdhi was out again on his own despite his parents arguments that it was not good for him to go out on his own. They were super protective of him because of his "curse". Why he didn't understand since it happened so rarely there was little chance of something happening to him while he was out but they couldn't be told that. He knew when he returned home he would be getting a very big scolding and he'd have eyes on him even more than usually but they'd wary, forget and he'd slip off again. With his brother Tope gone now there was little to really do unless he wanted to play a frilly game with his sisters which was really his style. He liked his sisters but their games were not his favorite. He missed his brother so much. They'd been so close. He just didn't understand why he had left. Dad had never really told them what had happened but he could tell by the sad and slightly guilty expression that whatever had happened hadn't been pleasant.

Deciding to stop and take a break Ardhi walked to a tree and layed down beneath it's branches and in it's cooling shade. The sun always did a number on his black fur. Sometimes he wished he'd been born with his mothers colors instead of his fathers. It seemed like he had to pant non-stop to keep himself cool anymore. And panting was a work out in itself. He couldn't figure out how his father had managed during his time as a cub when he'd wandered.

Kuumia sighed. Xana was sleeping the day away again. She was getting tierd of sitting around home while the lazy thing just slept. She usually slept until dusk, be the constant kicks that she has recived from him were bothering her, waking her up earlier and earlier. She was tierd. Missing the long hours of sleep she used to have, leaving a smile on her face when she woke up to the scruffly face of someone she trusted.

Her white paws took her further and further away from him each day. Sometimes she felt like not coming home at all. But if she didn't Xana would leave, and she'd never see him again. Why did she have to make ties to such a fickle cheetah.

Before long her thoughts had stopped coming at her so fast and she had realized she had gone further than she had expected to. Oh well. Another adventure. The third in only two weeks. It seemed that it would become a regular thing for her.

Feeling fairly rested even though he was still having to pant Ardhi sat up and looked around. It was during these times that he felt most free even though he knew well that once he was back in his parents clutches his will and wants beyond food were no longer his. He was told when to sleep and told when he could play. Sometimes he wished he'd gone with Tope but it was far too late to do so now. He was stuck but at least he never went without food. Pondering on in his thoughts Ardhi's gaze wandered over the grass and came to rest on a green feline in the distance a rather tall and skinny feline.

This seemed to catch his attention and he stood up hoping to get a better look at this feline. It sure didn't look like any lion he had ever seen before. He wondered if it even was a lion as he gazed at it. But what could it be?

Her glossy stare was broken by a dark blotch, that she was quite sure, was staring at her. Her slim body slinking about hidden by most of the grass. AMber eyes staring back, unblinking. Wanting nothing more than to turn around and go home. But why be rude? It might end up being another thing to play with. Just like the idiotic hybrid she had come across. Nothing but a play thing. Something she would have eaten or harmed and just left it to rot. It hadn't been worth much time anyways, and Kuumia wanted to meet it again and finish her off.

She snapped back into the present, stuffing the momories into the back of her mind. It was the easiest way to see clearly. She stopped, looking off at the little brat that was near her. It's red eyes stuck out against it's dark fur. She waited. Approching things in the day light was not how things worked. 'Only at night, Only at night' She told herself trying to stick to what she had always done. But with so many things apearing before her in the past few days it was growing harder to keep by it. She was begining to miss her solitary life. Her uneventful life.
