X was better... the character development was more interesting and the storyline was way better.

I have to say that X was better.
Characters were way more in depth in my opinion. You fell in love with them instantly....except for Khimari...and Wakka...at least for me. The romance I didn't like too much...because i'm that kind of person, but it was interesting to say the least.
Battle system was awesome. You could just sit there for hours and your characters wouldn't die because of the turn system. I love that because I get pulled away from the game a lot from complaining people. You dont' have to panickly look through everything trying to find your magic and stuff, and just as you get it, your character dies.
Story was pretty awesome. Yes...it went on a one line track for a bit, but it was fun and interesting none the less.
FFX-2...not so great
Battle was way too fast in my opinion, even if you put your thing on wait. The dresspheres were cool, but took too much time to master all the things, and then got annoying how it took forever to go from one dressphere transformation to another, even if you turned the sphere change to off. You sometimes just die when your character just chooses an item or spell, and that really sucked.
Characters were okay. Yuna turned into a female version of Tidus, with a little bit of her shyness still in there. Rikku turned into a complete slut, and Paine turned into the re-incarnation of Lulu. Leblanc was a pain in the a** along with her pea brained lackeys. Not a lot of romance in this one other than Shuyin and Lenne. In my opinion...I thought they were kinda stupid.
Story was...alright. Shows Square Enix is slacking off a bit. It was interesting at first, but then....slipped a bit. FFX-2 was mainly about Shuyin and Lenne, people we barley know. The story's focus was on them, and I didn't like that too much. I could really care less about their love relationship honestly, and I didn't find it to be a strong story for X-2. C'mon Square Enix, drink some coffee and stop slacking off.

X has a more deeper story not to mention sadder x-2 is more care free .....

i loved final fantasy X and X-2...
but i think final fantasy X is better because (like most of the others before me) i think it had a deeper story...thats not to say i didn't like X-2's storyline i just think that X's overall impact was deeper

Final Fantasys X was way better than X-2. X-2 was a total let down.

X was better, more plot, epic feel, drama, all that. X-2 was kind of light on plot and at times it was kinda cheesy,but the completion percent was original, and what it DID have was an awesome and fun job system and so many fun minigames that i sometimes like to call it a party in a box..

i like final fantasy x better because x-2 is more of a mission based game
and x was more story based and also it's got more things to do like decovering the albeh and the mini game bliztball
and the charter system is much better
also tidus is my fav charter ever rofl

i have to say X was better because the story to it was alot better than X-2 because X-23 ur just basically looking for tidus and its just a stupid game overall and it didnt appeal to me cuz it wasnt very long and the end boos just blew cuz it was so easy

final fantasy x is the best game i have ever played! But x-2 had the best fighting systom I have ever seen. There both great in my apinyon.

i say FF10 is better then FFX-2 for 3 reasons here are they:
1- Better weapons and storyline. Weapons just lookk bad a** and storyline makes more since. come on its cool that you kill your father(Sin).
2- More characters to play and better bosses. FFX-2 has more bosses but those are aeons you are killing. FF10 Semore is the funniest friend 4 parts to him, first is a friend then he killes dad and trys to kill you and fianlly puts you in prison.
3- long but not. Ok not as long as X-2 but thats ok.
anyways thses are great games and 12 is good to but you shall decide whats the good one. :]
