So there are two really great used book stores in my town and I've found Doctor Who books (the Target novelizations) at both of them in the past. Today I went to the nearer one looking for something completely different* but I checked for some more Doctor Who books while I was there.
There were two, neither of which were the novelizations! One of them is one of the eighth Doctor adventure novels, titled "Sometime Never" (if anyone's read it, is it good?) and the other was... I don't even know what it is. o_O It's called "Doctor Who: The Unfolding Text" and I went ahead and bought it because it was damn cheap. It was published in 1983... XD It says on the back it's a "detailed account of the creation of the BBC's amazing Doctor Who science fiction series." It's pretty long, so I doubt I'll ever read it all, but it looks fairly interesting. XD
Anyone else ever had this sort of experience? :B I highly recommend used book stores, BTW, for anyone who wants DW books but doesn't want to pay ridiculous shipping. I found the novelization of Evil of the Daleks at one a couple months ago for $2. It usually goes for around $50 on eBay. @_@
*the Discworld Diaries... if anyone knows where I could get one without paying to ship it from the UK, I'd be eternally grateful for info. Like, give-you-stuff grateful. XD They out-of-print and British, and they were fairly limited number-wise, so finding them is pretty unlikely in a small town in Indiana, even if I have been lucky with out-of-print Doctor Who stuff. @_@

I've read "The Hog Father." And I've watched "Soul Music," and "Weird Sisters." So I know what you're talking about. It was through her that I've found out about it.

They are absolutely brilliant books. @_@ The Death boks are AMAZING (Hogfather and Soul Music are two of them), but I almost like the City Watch books better. : D Some of the standalones, like Going Postal, Moving Picture, Pyramids, and The Truth are fantastic also. @_@ Anyway. Thank you~!! I really want these damn books. XD

I remember seeing a book that was about DW, but I forgot what it was called. It was the kind that's about the series, rather then a story of DW though. Like the kind that goes behind the scenes of the stories, like how the characters came about and all that jazz. I found it in a book store at an airport. I didn't buy it though, unfortunately. But who knows, maybe I'll see it again =]

XD It probably wasn't what I'm looking for, though, cuz they're out of print and you won't find them in a normal bookstore. :B
