Hi all, this is my first roleplay here, but I have run a few before, so if you have some time to read, please continue and join up!
First of all, the rules:
No God RPing
No Player Controlling (other than yourself)...ie you cant make them decide to shoot themselves etc.
No Player killing unless that player gives permission (PM me first).
I am power hungry and so demand the final say in disputes biggrin .
The World
Kaeran is a country torn by war. 2 warring armies have battled for years in an attempt to gain control of the once beautiful land. While it's beauty remains in essence, the land does show the wear and tear of war. Covered largely in lush forests and green plains, Kaeran is known as the "Gem of the Isles".
The Isles are a series of large land-masses, Kaeran being the central and largest island of all. The two factions are Kasra and Volus, each led by powerful leaders. Kasra is an army of the those wishing to pursue good, while Volus is a faction of those of a darker nature.
The Character Sheet

Magic:
Equipment: (Weapons, armour and miscellaneous objects, no enchanted items to start please)
Appearance:
History:
Mount:
Races:
Human: No explanation needed.
Elf: Forest dwellers, the elves have excellent eyesight and are practiced at tracking and in use of a bow.
Dark Elf: Dark elves are cousins of the elves, with the same abilities, yet they are more war-like in behaviour.
Dwarf: Dwarves are short, stocky, strong and hardy. Don't get one of these mountain folk angry, or you may not live to regret it.
Orc: Orcs are mean and green. Stereotyped as being dumb warriors, Orcs are in fact generally as intelligent as the other People, they are simply more monstrous in appearance and personality.
Lycan: (Weretiger, Werebear or Werewolf). There are three main types of Lycans in The Isles, but suffice to say that every full moon, Lycans turn into creatures. As well as the "moon curse", Lycans are able to shapeshift at will, and some Lycans have preferred to stay indefinately in their animal forms...
Vampire: Vampires often refer to their affliction as the Dark Gift, even though it is seen by most others as a curse. Vampires are stronger and faster than most mortals, but have the inconvenience of needing to feed every so often....
Gargoyle: Gargoyles are terrifying creatures, the depictions of which are often seen on buildings. Gargoyles are generally grey in colour, but this can vary with the beast. Normally these creatures have bat-like wings, long claws, and sharp teeth. Oh...and if they get really close, you can see their red eyes...just before they tear your throat out.
Demon: Demons are spawn from the very depths of Hell. Generally free demons have somehow managed to slay the wizard who summoned them and have found themselves free to wreak havoc upon the world. Demons vary hugely because they can choose their appearance on our plane of existence. Generally though, they go for red-skinned, many spiked, winged forms.
Angel: Angels are the opposite of demons; heavenly creatures sent to do good. Angels appear as humans, except that they are generally surrounded by an aura of light and bear large wings upon their backs. Angels are strong, honest, and incredibly morale-boosting.
Guardian: Guardians have 4 arms, and appear in all other respects to be human. Their foreheads, however, always bear a red mark. Guardians are the enforcers of the High Magi, and wander the world to stop black magicians from practising forbidden magic - mainly necromancy or demonic summoning. However, Guardians are just as mortal as other, and many have died trying to do their duty. {Guardians cannot use magic}
Magic:
All of the races but Guardians can use magic, and all players can start with none, one or two elemental masteries. (Note, if you choose two, you are specialising in magic and should not be as good in combat as non-specialisers. Please roleplay accordingly. You can elect not to take a mastery, and can roleplay as a stronger fighter as a result if you choose.)
The elemental masteries give you power over a certain aspect of magic as follows. Basically you invent the spells - you can be as creative as you like, but please try to avoid overusing magic.
The masteries are listed below with their opposites listed ie:
Mastery - Opposite Mastery. Each mastery will be listed once either as a mastery or as an opposite mastery - you can choose any.
Fire - Water
Ice - Lightning
Earth - Air (Wind)
Darkness - Light
Curses - Blessings
Healing - Draining
Necromancy - Turning (Necromancy = Raise undead, Turning = Kill Undead)
Summoning - Banishing (Summoning = Animal or demon summoning, banishing can banish the creatures summoned. Note: It may be a bad idea to take summoning without banishing, or you may not be able to get rid of the creature you summoned.)
Telekinesis - Telepathy
Prophecy -this has no opposite
Note: Using necromancy, you can have several undead minions, but you need a source of dead bodies and please dont overdo the amount of creatures - ie. have one or two, dont have massive armies.
With summoning, only one strong creature or demon can be summoned, or alternatively several weaker ones. You can only have one of these at any one time. Ie. 4 hunting dogs or one Hell-Fiend.
Mounts:
The following mounts can be chosen - please note the limitations.
Horse
Pony
Mule
Warhorse
Unicorn (Kasra Only)
Pegasus (Kasra only)
Dire White Wolf (Kasra Only) (Note: Dire wolves are big...like horse size)
Hell-Hound (Volus Only) (See the note for dire wolves. Hellhounds are of similar size.)
Drake (Volus only) (Drakes can be fire, ice or lightning drakes.)
Nightmare (Volus Only) (These are black steeds, with hooves and eyes of fire.)
Dire Bear (Werebear only)
Dire Wolf (Werewolf only)
Dire Tiger (Weretiger Only)
Equipment
All medieval weapons are allowed, but no guns are available.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will be the leader of the Volus faction, and my character is as follows.
Name: Sekorra Fellshadow (Holds title of Warlord)
Sex: Male
Race: Lycan (Weretiger)
Age: 367
Faction: Volus
Magic: Fire
Equipment: Dual-sword (Think Darth-Maul's lightsaber, but with blades), spiked platemail, barbed whip, longsword.
Appearance: Sekorra Fellshadow is a tall weretiger, a deep orange in colour. He is larger and more feirce than most of his kind, and rules with a physical strength which is terryfying. Black stripes adorn his body, with a single white stripe starting above and ending below his right eye. Standing at about 6 foot 7, this cat is a deadly predator.
His human appearance is that of a man in his mid twenties with long, shoulder-length, black hair. Across the man's right eye is a scar, and he stands at roughly 5 foot 9 in height.
History: Sekorra Fellshadow was bitten when he was 24. He had previously been a warrior, so was one of the strongest in his "pride", and soon became their leader after challenging and defeating Borala, the Lycan who previously bit him. Sekorra has a tendancy to remain indefinately in his tiger form.
Mount: Firedrake named Sharazar Wrathwing
Sekorra sat on the great ebony throne and stared at the human before him. The human was covered with blood (his own), and was on his knees, flanked by two guards in black armour adorned with the red symbol of Volus (A red V with a dot in the middle of the two strikes).
Sekorra leaned forward. "What did you say, human?" The human looked at the weretiger and repeated his words. "The Kasra are ready to defeat you. You can never win Kaeran."
With this, Sekorra got up from the chair and descended the three steps that lead to the throne. The guards backed away, and Sekorra grabbed the man around the throat. "Words like that prove you are a Kasra, and therefore deserve death." The great cat closed his claw around the mans neck slightly, and the man began to struggle, feeling the sharp claws beginning to dig in. Blood ran down the humans neck, and Sekorra stepped over to a nearby marble column.
"Goodbye, human." The cat hissed, then slammed the man into the pillar. A sickening crack resounded throughout the large hall as the man's spine splintered upon the impact, and Sekorra dropped the limp figure, where two servants scooped up the body. Fellshadow took his seat once more, then called out. "Cut off the head and place it on a pike on the Citadel walls! It shall serve as a warning to those dim Kasrans." The servants scurried off, and Sekorra nodded to the guards, who returned to their posts at the great oak doors to the hall.
