Noyana had almost met all fo the real royal family. Tufah and Haiba, she'd heard of Tahka and Sarafina... There really was only one left- she didn't know his full name, only that his short name was "Mat."
She, on this day, was absolutely determined to find him- the more of the family she knew the better, in her mind. Some day, she was certain, the "royal" family would step down, knowing that their place was gained immorally. She was sure of it, beyond the shadow of a doubt.
Noyana strode through the Pridelands confident that she'd find the no-doubt red-pelted male, she only hoped she'd find him faster than slower. She headed towards the water hole, not really knowing where Tufah called home. Besides, everyone needed a drink. She parted the grass, leaving a trail, not caring that she was doing so as she made her way to the water's edge, peering for the extremely rare fish.

Mat laid quietly, soundly asleep behind a tree, a little ways from the very same water hole. His fur was soft and cleaned, recently bathed from his mother. It was not too long ago that he was with someone, he forgotten who really, but it was one of his siblings. With a yawn and a lick of his lips, he opened his eyes to an open savanna. He was ditched!
Bolting up right, he jerked around to find himself alone as he had thought. His sibling left him! Hell, they probably forgot that he was even there. Curse them and their.... gah, too much of an effort to curse someone of his own family. With a sigh, he shrugged it off and headed back home. It was when he was on the path did he notice something was at the water hole. A blurr of yellow with a streak of purple. Curious, he took a step in its direction until deciding against it. Go home was the best choice, he needed to get back to the others and perhaps leftovers to eat up. But his curiosity was itching.
With a quick thought, he planned to get a drink before heading home and thus seeing this strange blurr.

Perfect timing- simply perfect! Just now, as she heard the approach of someone about her age, she turned to see- sure enough! Red pelted. Not as much as Tufah, but still red! Plus the socks that were characteristic of his litter and those backspots. Did Noyana obsess a bit? Yes, but there's nothing wrong with caring about your future-royalty, in her mind. "You must be Mat," She said to him instead of the typical, "Hi" greeting. "I know Tufah very well," she said before he could ask how she knew him. Should she bow? She never bowed to Tufah... She'd do a nice moderate bow. "I'm Noyana," She dipped her head quickly before meeting his gaze. She wondered what this sibling would be like compared to the few she knew...

Mat did not give her so much as a glance as he walked to the edge, dipped his head, drank slowly, lapping over the surface. He heard her words but showed no signs of interest. Raising himself up, the cub shot a sharp glance at the corner of his eye to her. Yellow, black, and green, that strange purple feather and a colorful necklace. He was preparing himself to be annoyed and bothered... just like everyone else he knew that was not part of his family.
"To know my name, it just means that you were telling the truth about my sister. I should talk to her about talking to strangers..." he started in a rather up-mighty voice. "I could care a little less if you weren't a Pride Lander, assuming you are one from that rock, I guess I could talk to you since my sister is not here..."
He was starting to miss the company of his sister, or his brothers. Mat needed someone to lay down next to, it felt weird being alone himself. If anything, he'd never want to be alone. Alone... sounds so much worse than dying. At least to him.
"So... 'Noyana', what is it that you want from me?"

Noyana shrugged off Mat's cold tone. She blamed it on what most certainly had to be a bad day. "I dunno," she said as she padded up to him and sat down. "Just to get to know you," she said cheerily, giving him a smile. Perhaps that would lighten up the male's mood. "How's your day going? Wanna do something fun?" She asked, hoping she could get him in a better mood. She had no idea what she'd do for fun... something always came to mind eventually. She set part of her brain figuring out some activity worthy of the royal family; something like exploring the gorge just beyond the borders like she had with Tufah. Her tail flicked happily behind her, waiting to hear what he'd have to say.

"Get to know me?" Is that what you did with Tufah too?" he asked, cocking a brow. What was Tufah up to? Mat had not seen her in a while and how did she know this other... female... he sneered a little, shaking his head. Tufah was too kind sometimes... or maybe it was just to the family she was. He had not really known Tufah outside the family or anyone for that matter. His life was somewhat sheltered being with the family, they were all he really knew. Except a few other gold pelted annoying cubs that he could mention...
When Noyana sat closer to him, he almost instantly raised to his feet, took a step from her and sat himself down. What was she think she was doing? Was she trying to get herself hurt? Emotionally and perhaps physically? What is with this female?
"My day? Well, I met a rather weird girl. She's still sitting here. She's been asking me questions. And she just tried to sit next to me," he replied as a mock. He scoffed and looked away from her to the horizon. He didn't care too much about those outside his family, as long as he had them, he would be alright. Though he may butt heads with the other siblings, he loved them deep down.
"Something fun? What would that be?"

Noyana thought of telling Mat that Tufah and she had went and seen a gorge outside the Pridelands, but decided that she might not want anyone in her family knowing that she had meandered outside, even if it had just been for a little bit.
"Tufah and I went exploring," Noyana said simply, omitting the incriminating information.
She listened to him tell her about his day. "You're funny, Mat!" she said, not taking his comments as a grouping of insults.
"I was kinda hoping you had something in mind..." she said, more to herself than to Mat, and she immediately started thinking about something to do that would be worthy of royal blood.
"We could explore, but I'm sure you do plenty of that," she said. "Maybe go hunting, are you any good?" She asked. "I love hunting, I'm going to be head huntress when I'm full-grown," Noyana boasted as she rose to her feet.
"Well, how's this sound, Mat? We could just meander until something interesting strikes us. That's what I always do. There's always something fun to do around here," she suggested, walking over to the other side of him and waiting for him to follow.

"Exploring, huh? That good, better not let me catch you getting her hurt because you wanted to "explore" somewhere dangerous like outside of the Pride Lands. From all I know, this is the safest place around here," he growled slightly. Imagining his little sister get hurt was angering... He knew Sarafina could take care of herself since she had Ru and Tahka. But Tufah? She had him and Haiba, at least that is what he had always thought. Two groups, two males and a female, protecting and caring about one another. But that's just him.
She was really strange. He wasn't trying to be funny and here she is laughing about his comments to make fun of her. Was she that oblivious to the facts? He did not want her around, no, he didn't want any female for that matter around him. Females were stupid little things that just become hindrances, at least his sisters were better.
"I could careless what you do. I do what my siblings do, however, since no one is around, I guess I have no other choice but to 'meander'," raising to his feet, he looked at her with a bit of a glare and started off through the grass.
"Being a head huntress of this stupid pride is the same thing as a hyena. This pride's dumb," he scoffed in the tall grass that surrounded the water hole for a while. "You better off be a rogue or something."

"This pride is dumb," Noyana agreed quickly. Here we go again... "The golden-coated are thick-skulled, in general. It's all that, 'Mufasa's' blood that runs in this pride." She lifted a lip in disgust, revealing her teeth. "It's you who should wake up on Pride Rock every day, not the queen and her family."
Noyana's beliefs were firm in that respect.
"But being a rogue? No, that'd be giving up," She said as she walked with him. "I'm planning on getting some changes around here soon, when I'm bigger and people will actually listen. They never listen to juveniles," Noyana said, still irritated. Adults never took anyone of her age seriously. "Besides, being a rogue leaves you so... unpurposeful. Unpurposeful and unsafe. That's what Tufah said, anyway. Makes sense to me," she said, having a feeling that if he knew Tufah had suggested it, Mat would be more willing to agree.

“For now, the pride is all that is keeping this place together… that is until someone else gets their paws on it,” he replied. He shrugged quickly with a slight ‘huh’ sound. “The Pride Landers have their moments, but they still bother me. That big pointy rock of theirs can just crumble for all I care, then they would all die, especially that one,” he spat a little at the mention and thought of that overly mannered, friendly brat of a cub. Red eyes of the ‘Royal’ family, the golden pet of the pride… curse him and his damn… he snarled to himself before shaking his head.
Flinching, and that’s quite rare for him, he turned his head to her briefly. “Me? Do you really think I can do anything about the Pride? Hah, you must be out of your head if you think I can rule a Pride,” he scoffed, accelerating his pace slowly. Running a pride, it sounded interesting, but he was not very smart compared to his siblings. Brawn over brain sort of male. “But that does sound interesting…”
“Rogues are not unpurposeful and as for safe, that is because they aren’t good at protecting themselves then. They are not bound to a side in a fight, so if there was some sort of attack on the pride, then we may be in trouble if they decide to retaliate. But I don’t think that will happen,” he added gruffly.

"You'd be at least ten times the ruler than the ones we have now," she said, dipping her head lower as they walked. Any of Taka's offspring deserved the spot. "Your mother should be sitting where Kami is right now," Noyana said irratatedly, also shaking her head. "At the very least, you should be a prince."
She pondered his opinion on rogues before saying, "Nobody is ever bound to anything. Nobody can force you to do anything. If you're not hungry, you don't have to eat. Nobody can force you," she said. "We're always as free as rogues, only with the benefit of having more people to protect you for no real good reason," she said. That was her take on it.

"I don't want to rule. The pride can fall off that dumb pointy rock for all I care, the pride was ruined as soon as the gold coats took over. If you met my brother, Haiba, you see that their influence is infecting the family. Though, we ignore it for the most part," he murmured as he continued to walk forward. It was not strange to hear it from another lion of their lineage being so great and misunderstood. Their rein stolen from them. But it was not everyday that someone does talk about it. He looked over at her and scoffed again.
"Females are troublesome. Don't know why you keep following me, I am heading home. Unless you want to meet my family, I suggest you go your way," he spoke. He was unsure which path she would take, she knew Tufah and seemed to like the Taka family but would they accept her as a member of the Pride Lands? It was uncertain, he may or may not seeing as she was a female, an "inferior" gender compared to Tufah. There were the Males of the family, the Females of the family, and then there were the scum of the rest of the world. As long as he was concerned, the only females deemable of his respect were his sisters, Tufah and Sarafina, and his mother. Mind: he would never tell them that out front.
"I tell you this, I am stuck with my family. I would rather be than be free."

Noyana didn't agree with him on that one- sure, the pride was damaged, but nothing that couldn't be repaired by some justice. She was sure he was getting tired of the topic, though, and decided to drop it at that.
"What trouble have I caused you yet? I've just provided some entertainment for you instead of walking home alone, haven't I? Besides, I'd love to go see your den and the rest of your family. I've met most of them already anyway..." She said. This was the truth, the female had met all but the twins, she had even met Haiba! Poor boy... she thought to herself, thinking about that coat color. He seemed so ecstatic when she recognized him as a descendant of Taka instead of one of Mufasa. He must get that mistake often. As for his cold disposition... She blamed it on a bad day. Even if that turned out to be who he was, she knew that somewhere in there was someone pretty nice, like Haiba and Tufah. He probably just had a cold shell so everyone would leave him alone.
She'd break through that! Noyana had a silent ambition to befriend everyone in his bloodline.
Her own coat color wasn't that good, but she at least had the comfort of knowing it didn't come from Mufasa, but from her kind mother Na'Ilah.

"What have you done to me so far? You have been following me since the water hole. You have been talking to me about stupid stuff. You're still following me. And you want me to lead you to my home. My den. My family?" he scoffed and speeds up a little more as his head falls down to shoulder height. He knew she was going to be a stubborn girl, some are, but he had to get home soon before his mother got mad or his siblings will get on his case about it. Being out alone without a sibling was strange, he had always had one around if and when he went somewhere, basically, where they went, he did. He looked over his shoulder to see if the female was still following him.
"Why are you so different? Why do you like our blood so much, but you are of the Pride Landers? Are you stupid? Who told you about our family anyways?" he had a strong feeling it was no one but Tufah. The thoughts he could think of how anyone outside the family that would know the truth about Taka and Mufasa was his family. The Pride Landers would be too proud to say that their rein was false as Mufasa was rightful heir as Taka was not.
"Lies, all of them..."

"Tufah told me the truth, I could see it in her eyes, and that's when I saw that the whole pride was living under a stolen seat! I can't just sit still on it like all the other, lazy, accepting pridemembers" she spat, jumping perpendicular in front of him to stop him from walking. She wasn't mad at him, but at the whole pride, maybe even her own siblings for also buying it; save for Mjrn. "Whether you believe it or not, whether you even like it or not, you and your siblings are the rightful heirs, they should be lounging on that big rock," she said with a jerk of the head towards Pride Rock, mad that he found this stupid. "This is important, and sometime before I draw my last breath, I will be sure to see that your family regains their rightful place." Her face was determined; whether he liked it or not, that was what she was going to do.
She stepped aside finally, confident that her message was through. Why wouldn't he want to right the wrongs done to his family? She couldn't help but wonder.
