Yes! My God! I just saw this myself only a few moments ago, and came on here to see if anyone else had seen it.
What the hell is WRONG with people?! This is actually getting sickening now, as far as I'm concerned. Are we really about to dumb down the American people by jabbering such nonsense?
And I don't know about any of you, but if my grandmother did anything of this kind, I'd have no remorse for running screaming into the night. >< I thought it was repulsive when we used to talk over ICQ after I moved from NY to FL and she used to say "lol"...UGH!!

I just saw this today and almost flipped out! This is disgusting! How far do they have to go? Is nothing sacred anymore, that we have to drag in grandmothers for the war of the words? Argh! scream

I'm practically ashamed that I have phone service via AT&T at this point. What the hell is this showing children out there? Grandparents are suppose to be our wiser elders whom have their own special brand of education. Not some dolt rattling out text talk and expecting everyone to understand them. >.>;; I'm royally pissed off that they've gone and portrayed our elders in such a manner.

I say we write a nasty letter to those in the corporate about this and our protest at their failing attempts to make us have service with them.

As if it weren't bad enught that they had that little girl in the previous commercial talking about her best friend... Now they have the grandmother and brother doing it too. gonk
That's exactly how we stop these kds from being so lazy and illiterate. stare Make a commercial that encourage said behaviour. stressed

Ebony_Anne I say we write a nasty letter to those in the corporate about this and our protest at their failing attempts to make us have service with them. We probably should, but then they'd probably just 'appologize' and thank us for the feedback. Things like this are usualy automated. 3nodding

The only part that makes sense is the girl's last line.

As far as 'dumbing down'... I'm not too sure many Americans will have very far to go. But more and more elderly adults are buying, and actually using ther cell phones. Strange, but it seems like they're everywhere now. gonk

My initial reaction was to laugh. If I hadn't laughed, you see, I probably would have destroyed the television.

I hang up on telemarketers, real or not. I've always wanted to say rude things to them, but they have my phone number...

I almost punched my TV when I saw that commecial. (Yes I do have anger issues.) The grandmother pissed me off more than anything. I don't understand why the mother doesn't just take away all their cellphones and just have a land line so that they can't text to anyone.
