So I thought I would ask what every likes or dislikes about the Guilty Pleasures comic and First Death.
Also how do feel about Marvel having complete rights to the comic instead of Dabel?
And who do you think should be the new artist since Brett Booth will no longer be the artist.
(I will be on and off the next few days, so i apologize for not responding to people right away.)

i love Anita's tshirts... they're amusing. And Jean-Claude is sex on legs. My only peeve is that Zebrowski seems too tiny for my imagination, i mean i know he's smaller than dolph, but he looks like he's the same size as Anita.

I haven't got to read them yet but I've seen a few of the pages and I really like the art, I also think that it is a really good idea to do the prequal thing, it gives a little background on everything and it's in an interesting format. And I think that Zerbowski is supposed to be about the same size as anita, I think they said something about it in one of the books

Sometimes the art doesn't follow the book... but I love the wererats, Jean-Claudes poses, and Anita's tee-shirts.

I the the cover art, the shirts and how they drew the characters..but i didnt like some of the facial expressions they gave anita when she was is pain..it was a little too weird and creepy. Faces that people dont really make when they are in pain... gonk

I'd have to agree with you all, I love the shirts and the cover art, and yes they did do some weird things with her expressions, but I do like seeing her in print this way, it really brings the whole vulnerablity of her out. smile

Yeah I'm a fan of the shirts, i hope they continue with the new artist. Speaking of the new artist, What does everyone think of Ron Lim and the preview sketches floating around online?

Anita's a** is too big. Its out of proportion. Sometimes its huge, and other times its just fine. I wish the artist would be more consistent, make up his mind. XD Its annoying.

I think the boys are too muscled/steroided out. I don't believe that Jean-Claude was ever described as completely ripped in the books.
Dolph should be older-looking as well. His children are married off, and in the comics he looks about Anita's age.

MonAmourMalade I think the boys are too muscled/steroided out. I don't believe that Jean-Claude was ever described as completely ripped in the books. Definitely agreed on the muscle-overdose. I know the men were beautiful and all, but COME ON. (althought personally, I don't find huge bulging muscles attractive)
I think that's all I have to complain about. ^_^ It was a wonderful read, steroids aside!

I bought the vol. 1 collection a while ago, but haven't really had the time to read. But from just skimming the pages, I can definitely say that my fav thing so far is the art and how the characters are represented. They all pretty much look the way they look in my head when I read. That's one thing I love about Laurell; that she is so descriptive that the reader can create such a clear mental picture of her characters.
And as far as the comment about the roided out character designs, I feel like this is to be expected in a comic book. Basically, in the comic world, if a character isn't supposed to fat or a child, they are drawn muscled, and because it is a comic, it will be stylized muscle.

All i've seen of them is the random pics on the internet. I looked in the largest book store in the area a few weeks ago, and they didn't have them, so i figured i'd order them off amazon, but that was after i ordered half the Anita Blake series so i had already exceeded my parents "money we're allowing you to spend on books per month" rule, so i should be able to order them soon!! I can't wait... when does the collective volume 2 come out?
