Auloll

PostPosted: Tue Sep 04, 2007 10:16 pm

Auloll hissed as the kids grew closer. "Listen you puny runts. If you think that we won't harm you just because you are children, then you are WRONG! If you stand between us and our goal, then we have no qualms in harming you along with any others who get in our way! So if you know what's good for you, then you'll step out of our way now."

Ligeia listened to the dragons trying to catch bits of what was being said around him, there were so many voices and many of them that were all talking at once. Bits and pieces, words here, a phrase there that he was able to catch that made sense to him but not more more then that. He turned to their teacher when he started to break them up into groups, smaller groups of them may make it easier to talk to the dragons. They wouldn't feel as crowed and perhaps that was the plan, smaller groups were easier to work with. At the same time the dragons were so much bigger then them, older, and smarter on top of that they knew what was going on in greater detail then he and the other D-Corpers did...

When he was told where he was going he swallowed hard, sent with a few others to the one that seemed to be at the head of all of the troubles. Aullol was her name, he turned to look over at her in all her frightening glory and steeled himself. She was a hard one to talk to he'd seen already, Keir was nothing like her at least that he'd ever seen. She was frightening and huge, to be sent to try to reason with her in a small group... he could feel his knees shaking a bit even as he forced himself to walk forward towards her. His dark eyes look at her clawed feet, at her maw full of sharp teeth, and the long tail. They would have to be extra careful when speaking with her wouldn't they? She could and would crush them it was a threat... no more like a promise spoken clearly that were they to get in the way their lives would be in danger. He found himself for a moment looking over his shoulder in the direction his brother had been sent in. He was a little glad that Ter was sent elsewhere with Baroness. The wyvern was more likely to cause trouble then help to try to cool and calm tempers.

"Even if we stepped out of your way there others that won't." Ligeia said, thinking on the armed men as he spoke, trying his best to be brave though he didn't really feel it. Best he could really do was fake it at the moment, "Surely you don't want to risk yourself and those who follow you? Or worse then that risk those that are related to you?" Keir seemed to like Vorel well enough but that didn't mean that all Blacks cared for such alliances, it was a risk he would have to take to hope she cared about the others who listened to her words and followed them. It sorta helped though that Chath and his dragon had been sent with this group, one of her kind would be more likely to be able to talk her out of her rage wouldn't he? Again he could only assume, what if Keir thought she was right in wanting to leave and told her so?

Vorel was near him, close enough to touch and Ligeia could tell that all of his muscles were tense. While Ligeia wanted to hope for a peaceful solution to everything the frost dragon it would seem was trying to prepare for the worse case scenario. The owl did his best not to cling to him, not wanting to appear as weak as he felt while he spoke with the Black.

Chath found himself with a trio of kids facing a large amount of rather nasty dragons. With a fairly short tempered black female leading the front. Looking around he took note of who was with him, Keanu, Revon, Alaqua and Legeia. He knew Alaqua and perhaps had met the other two briefly in a class or something. Truly though Geia was the only one he knew well enough to know strengths and weakness's. And though he was happy that Geia was there with him...he also wished he was as far away as possible.

He watched as Legeia steeled himself and spoke out against the dragons, revealing that even if they were killed there would be others to stop them. He could of died at that moment. He knew Keir well enough that if that had been told to him he would have to prove he could and would kill them all. Knowing the breed..he doubted the apple fell far from the tree and thus Auloll would be more than happy to show them her powers.

Meanwhile his black standing beside him listening to the quarreling that was occurring between all the different species of dragons. It was an odd assortment of kids and dragons now left to deal with the queen of black dragons. He took note that Legeia was speaking and that Vorel was there but his focus was mainly on the female black.

It was evident that Auloll was certainly the one in charge, at least of the ones who wanted to leave. Leave with a large amount of bloodshed anyway. Keir admired Aulell, for she was one of his kind and most likely his mother; but as she spoke of harming the children, this included Chath and without him realizing it he was bristling in anger.
I don't care what you do to the others...but if you hurt my kid you will have to deal with me. He growled taking a step in front of Chath. Loyalty was something rare among his species, perhaps his being raised with Chath had formed an unknown bond. Unknown even to himself.

Chath looked to Keir in mild surprise and then looked up the black dragons his eyes narrowing. He knew they had very very little chance of success of winning a battle against these dragons. They were far older and more knowledgeable in the ways of battle then he could ever dream of. He also took a step to be beside Keir, his dragon looking at him out of the side of his eyes a small nod of approval before returning his gaze to Auloll. Chath was willing to fight beside Keir, not hide behind him and this made them equals.

“There is no need for bloodshed.” Chath started looking directly at Auloll, inwardly he still winced at her appearance...and dreaded the day Keir would look like that. He was sure he would get use to it but it still gave him the willies...they really did resemble zombies. He cast a look over his shoulder not realizing that now he was...well standing in front of them all. He hadn't meant to take the lead in all this, but something needed to be done. He needed to back up what Legeia said and reinforce the idea of no fighting.

“If there are problems you are experiencing here at the facility, I am sure that if you talked it out with the workers here that the problems can be solved.” He continued his mind racing to think of something else that could possible help calm the situation to at least 'let us talk this out' level instead of a 'lets kill everyone' thought pattern.

Ala gulped as Peri pointed her out to join the group speaking to the large (and very scary) black dragon. Why was her luck so bad? Why couldn't she have been picked to go talk to one of the calmer groups? Like the one with that gold dragon who'd been talking against Auloll?

As far as the koala girl was concerned, she'd rather just hide behind Bob and let the boys speak for her. But maybe she could help? How, she had no idea, but she could at least try to help out... right? Ala thought for a long moment on what the others had said and what the black dragon had said as well. It wouldn't be good to tick her off... So one must think carefully on what they were to say.

"Why are you so bent on harming everyone else? I don't see anything holding you here, so if you want to leave that badly, just go. Obviously, we'd prefer it if you stayed, but I don't want to fight. Fighting's bad. It just makes someone get hurt in the end..."

It was fairly obvious the entire place was a bit of a mess, arguments popping up, opinions over the whole thing being given. Which was likely why a large group wouldn't work and they'd been split up. Which was what landed the pair in the middle of the mess, a place Keanu prefered to be anyway. If anything was to happen he'd be there to deal with it as best he could, that was how he prefered it. Although it was obvious his partner didn't entirely feel the same.

Ymir wasn't holding back, if anything he was standing a few paces in front of the boy in hopes of defering an attack. He'd already failed once and his was a similar enough situation to have him on edge, possibly worse. He was aware that the older black was far more dangerous than a gun, she just had a slightly lower chance of trying to kill them so long as she didn't lose her temper. Although that might have already occured, so it was a toss up. The hybrid grimaced at the dragon's speech, briefly glancing at the children as they spoke.

He wouldn't have wanted her to treat him like a child to begin with, so the threat didn't even faze the leopard as he stared up at the dragon. Sure, he'd had his near death experience, and it had taught him that good didn't always win. That didn't mean he feared death though. He was more concerned with the well being of those placed in the group with him than anything. "I'm not moving. We're here to talk to you as adults, you should treat us as such and not throw threats to suggest otherwise." If anything there was a bit of pride and ego in that, he didn't want to be seen as just a shield used in hopes the dragons would flinch at the thought of hurting someone 'young.'

The other children were right, there was no need to resort to violence to solve the problem. There was no need for anyone to be harmed, much less the children. Epecially since he knew his would likely be the first to jump in should it turn into a fight. Something he knew wouldn't end well. "Anger is clouding your judgement, perhaps it would be best to calm down?" Ymir added after the other's spoke, movingly slightly to get more between the larger black and Keanu. Her goals seemed to cause destruction and pain, how would moving help anyone in the matter? He wasn't utterly opposed to violence, but he certainly would choose to avoid any if at all possible. Certainly they could resolve this...

The knot in his stomach was quickly growing more painful by the minute, finally seeming to hit it's pique as he was assigned to speak with the largest of the dragons. Or the one that seemed that way. She certainly was frightening and seemed allt he bigger due to it. He sort of inched along behind the group as they grew nearer to the obvious instigator of the whole ordeal trying to look as brave as possible, and failing. He looked more like he was walking towards the grim reaper than anything, the obvious fear on his face.

...why oh why this one?

Flower o the other hand, looked absolutely delighted for a creature that was still muzzled. Ah, sweet justice. They were all going to die and see that he was right, that dragons weren't meant to serve such pathetic creatures as humans. A knowing smirk showed on the young black's face as he practically saunted up to the larger of it's kind, dismissing the bird-like child that was his 'partner' without a thought. He might not have been able to speak freely, but he did manage to try at least to speak in a sort of muffled form of draconic. "You're right, they should be crushed for their deeds." It wasn't nearly as clear as normal speech, but if attention was given likely it was understandable. Tossing his head to give the entire group the glare he often cast. "Any who want to bow to them are no better." This was certainly going to be a good day.

As if things could have gotten worse, and yet they did. Revon really did want to shrink away into a hole as he spotted his own black dragon walking towards the beast of a dragon and speaking. He wasn't sure what was said, seeing as he didn't know the language, it didn't help that he wasn't entirely clear either. At least he thought, because of the muzzle. Still, it couldn't be good. He knew how Flower behaved and... he looked too happy standing before that dragon, too pleased with himself. "O-oh.... n-no..." IT was more of a moan than speech as he realized that it was likely to do with at least some damage being done.

He really shouldn't have come.

Auloll

PostPosted: Fri Sep 07, 2007 4:00 pm

Auloll's tail flicked in her agitation. She did warn them, at least. And one of them seemed properly terrified of her, but the rest... something was wrong with them, it seemed. Especially that little rotten black. "You care for that creature?" She asked Keir, eying him suspiciously. "Are you sure you're a proper black...?"

Then, a most amazing thing happened: Flower walked forward. Auloll hissed loudly in her anger that one of the young blacks was constrained in such a way that he could not even speak properly! She let out a loud roar as she reached down carefully with a claw to slice away at Flower's muzzle. "You are a proper black! You must be one of mine..."

Ligeia took a step back at the angry hiss and roar that came from the large black, watching her remove a muzzle off of another young black. He looked over his shoulder at Vorel and felt his heart skip a beat. Vorel was a good dragon, a sweet dragon and he'd been with him ever since the Frost Dragon since the moment of his birth, was there when he hatch and never had he seen such an expression before, "Vorel?" He murmured. It wasn't Aullol he was looking at either despite her anger, it was the smaller black that had gone to talk with her. Ligeia wasn't sure what was said but whatever it was had Vorel up in arms...

He reached up to wrap his arms around the Frost Dragon's neck, about to say something to keep him from doing anything but failed when Vorel spoke out first, "Keir is a far better Black then that one." He said, looking at Flower. He didn't like that black after what he'd said, trying to encourage the Aullol to crush his owl!

"Vorel!" Ligeia said, shaking his head, "No, we are trying to keep things on neutral ground. I know Keir's your friend but please don't pick fights." He was able to understand his own dragon, only because he knew his dialect and his accent well enough and being the frost was the example he used when he was trying to learn draconic words.

Despite his words though the Frost didn't relax, his body still tensed up.

Chath flinched as the mother of all blacks tore the muzzle of the other younger black dragon. He hadn't met any other kids with blacks before...and now he could see the poor raven was rather shaken. He had never had to resort to muzzling Keir...that was for sure. Certainly there had been times his mother had urged it, but then again he never believed you could build trust in such a way.

His attention was drawn back to Auloll as she spoke something directly to Keir, and though he could catch only a few words he could tell what she had to say angered him. Hackles had been raised before but now it was like Keir was foaming at the mouth; rabid with rage.

“Keir...calm down..” he started taking a slight step forward but the black stepped away before he could rest a hand on his hide. He was unsure and a bit fearful of Keir. Not of Keir himself...just what he may end up doing rashly. He didn't want to see the black hurt, or have hium start a fight that could possibly get everyone killed. But his words were lost on Keir, he could only watch and listen while the young dragon spoke.

Keir gave a sneer as best as a dragon could do, he still was in awe of Auloll, and her plans for taking on the facility drove the blood lust in him wild. But that meant Chath would get hurt, true the boy could stand up in a fight against him, even take a few deadly blows and keep on going....but even he wasn't foolish enough to think that the boy could survive an attack from an adult dragon.
One would assume you had enough power to protect your own children, rather then send them off.. . Keir started boldly, acid seeped from his open jaws and dripped down to where his black talons were digging into the floor.

I won't let blood ties stop me from protecting him. He snarled his muscles bunching as he turned sixty degree's to somewhat put himself in front Chath in such a manner that he could stop an attack from either black dragon who opposed him. He was now looking directly at Flower, his dark eyes mere slits as he glared at himThose who had just hatched should know better than to mess with me or my kid. As well they shouldn't open their traps when they don't know anything.

Chath understood most of the words Keir spoke. Perhaps the accent made it easier to follow than the elder dragon . . .but at any rate he felt his own body tense his feet already sliding into a ready fighting position; this wasn't going over well. What the other black had said...made him shiver. Did all dragons feel this way? Did they feels like slaves here? Trapped in a building forced to breed for laboratory creations to bond with? He felt a pang of remorse. Even if it wasn't him who was forcing them to stay he couldn't help but feel guilt. Casting a look over the others he noticed Legiea holding onto Vorel's neck, the frost dragon looking rather menacing for once. It was then Chath realized just how big Vorel was, funny how it surprises you when faced with an angry dragon.

The last thing they needed was fighting amongst themselves. . .

Stepping forward once more he placed a hand on Keir's neck, the black wasn't fazed as he continue to cast dark looks between mother and potential sibling.
“What I think Keir is trying to say is we become family. Spending day and night together, working together, fighting and eating..and I learned the hard way that you dragons are not pets.” Chath admitted a bit ashamed of himself and he looked to Revon before speaking again,

“You are anything but pets. In your majestic strength and form your are like something out of this world. And since I have been assigned Keir, it was a long bumpy road, but now we are a team. You all joined this cooperation for a mutual benefit I am sure. Otherwise there would have been an uprising well before I have even been thought of. Think back. Why was it you came here? Is it really worth casting lives away just for the sake of bloodshed?” He asked sounding a lot more sure of himself than he really felt. These things he spoke of, he had just realized recently and he hoped that what he said would have...some impact on this conversation.

Ala just stared at Flower, wondering what he had said to make that black look so pleased. When Bob translated, her jaw dropped. Why would he say something like that? Didn't he like his kid? She glanced over at Revon, who looked awfully nervous. Well, she had heard that blacks weren't the nicest, but Chath seemed to get along with his fairly well...

Auloll

Auloll just glared at the frost dragon for a long moment before her attention was gathered by Keir. "You should learn how to speak to your betters, you little brat!" She hissed, acid spraying onto the nearby ground. Her tail lashed out towards Keir, flicking him upon the nose. "Perhaps that will help you learn your place!" The female reared up, her wings flapping to aid her balance as she launched a stream of acid near Chath and Keir where it hissed and ate away at the floor only a few feet away from the pair.

Ligeia gave a squeak and a wince when the Black dragon reared up, arms tightening around Vorel's neck. The Frost took advantage of the owl's hold to shift his body, turning to put himself between Aullol and Ligeia. He was sure he would fair better then his owl if the black attacked, to to much better but he was bigger and not nearly as fragile...

The scent of acid assaulted his nostrils, he gave a low growling sound as he watched it hit the ground near to Keir and Chath. He looked up at her then at the acid again, he recalled damage that he'd seen acid do before how it killed the grass when he and Keir had been playing. It was far to close he realized, to close to Chath and Keir and thusly to close to him and Geia.

He shifted his stance, mouth opening so that he draw in a deep lungful of air. Cold fog started to roll out of his mouth, a moment before he released the air from his lungs down frosted over and allowed the icy breath to flow over the acid hoping to do as he'd done once before, to freeze it in hopes of making it less dangerous to his partner and friends.

Ligeia had given a squeak of surprise when he was suddnely moved by his dragon, shoved to the side, sheilded from whatever the Frost had seen first. He looked over Vorel's back, up, up, up at Aullol who had risen up on her hind feet then had a moment of shock when she suddenly spat out acid. He was... surprised when it only hit the ground near to them, he'd expected it to rain down upon them given her angry tone of voice. They were nothing short of lucky...

Then Vorel was using his frost breath that Mr. Coleman had helped to teach him, Ligeia felt his heart freeze up. Surely Vorel wasn't trying to attack her...? He'd never felt such relief in his life when instead the icy cloud was aimed at the puddle of acid. He released the breath he didn't know he was holding and almost collapsed against Vorel. This was all getting far to dangerous.

"Aullol! Please!" He called over his dragon's back and up to her, "Please lets talk about this!" He didn't want her to get any angrier or her next stream of acid may have better... or worse aim depending on who's point of view.

Ymir was more than a little upset, which was saying something for the generally good natured dragon. The adult seemed hellbent on causing trouble, and the small beast that had joined her was no better. Hateful, spiteful things that caused other's harm. A low grumble started in the back of his throat and came out as a low mumble. Mainly hushed in hopes that the situation was still salvagable, though it appeared grim.

Even as the large black spit a bit of acid at one pair the frost knew what was going to happen and moved accordingly. Keanu hadn't understood the younger black's speech which explained the delayed reaction, but when things started he wasn't about to let anyone be hurt if he could stop it. Things were easier when you learned to predict actions. So even as the leopard advanced forward, ready to try any last negotiation before duking it out if needed the dragon once again stepped forward to create some form of a shield, something that obviously did bother his partner a bit. What of it, he wouldn't allow a repeat. Not again.

Well certainly the dragon sound angry, threatening, and was being agressive, but he didn't know what she'd said. Keanu had learned little draconic speech, but not enough to understand the dragon. Besides, she spoke very little like Ymir, so it was near impossible for the boy to try to guess. Still, it was obvious action needed to be taken if she took one more step over the line. "Stop this instant!" Probably not the best tone to take with a much larger dragon who hated authority, but he wasn't the best at this anyway. "This won't solve anything!"

Well at least the boy had one thing right, even if he looked more ready to lung at the dragon than talk it out. The hybrid glanced up at the large female, a serious look on his face as he prepared to speak. Not that it seemed it would do much good, especially with the younger black cheering for her to continue down her path. "So by saying only a certain way is proper for a dragon you are stating we shoudl follow stereotypes? Is this the image you wish for?" Pleading with ehr wasn't working, perhaps questioning her own words, because it was suggesting that they should all act the same. That didn't suite him at all.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 10, 2007 10:37 pm

The dragon opened his jaw once, then snapped it shut again happily once freed, a cruel grin appearing on it's face. Even with the older, though obviously still childish, dragon trying to put him down it was obvious the beast was more than pleased. A quick glance to Keir before he cast a gaze up to the far more worthwhile female. Ah, such a fitting example of what he wished to be, proud and elegant, surely a fitting mother. "An honor to be your child." Was his response to her claims before he turned his attention back to the group.

They seemed quite worried, even with their 'high and mighty' attitude. Pathetic little creatures. "You simply make excuses to avoid being crushed like the insignificant gnats you are." A few steps forward as the larger dragon spoke down, disciplining the other black. Then a threat that made the young male all the more gleeful, oh one more step and he'd see their demise. What a sweet treat that would be. Carefult o avoid being in the way of his mother, for certainly that would be her title from here on out, the young black snapped his jaws once more at the other child's black. "And if not I don't fear those who cling to other's for strength." He'd find a way to put the brat down if he didn't back down on his own. Oh yes, it would suite him quite well to tear into one who was so hellbent on saving those things. Could they even be called human?

Revon only slumped further back as the entire thing seemed to get worse. It was his fault... if he'd done a better job of becoming friends with Flower this wouldn't be happening, Flower wouldn't be fighting with everyone. He'd caused this because he couldn't even make friends right. He'd done a bad job. Which... made him a bad bird. And what made the entire situation worse was the fact he didn't know how to undo it. How to even ask to be forgiven to causing it. What could he do..?

Why did things like this always happen..?

Chath's reaction had been on edge and yet slowed, the acid came up before them splattering up in gouts of droplets at it hit and ate into the ground in front of them. Keir roared in outrage, Chath brought his arm up in a wave like fashion and raised a water wall to dilute the droplets that had sped towards himself and Keir.

He noted that Ligeia had frozen the acid that remained on the ground to stop it from doing further damage, the water fell to the ground in a gush. Seeping into his shorts and clinging to his skin, his heart raced; never before had he felt such an adrenaline rush and it wasn't the pleasant sort of rush either. His muscles were taunt with uneasiness, he felt one wrong move or gesture could set things off into an explosion of violence. He listened to what Keanu spoke of but couldn't follow what exactly his hybrid dragon said.

He looked behind himself to see that Vorel was looking after Geia, but Revon was alone. With no partner to work with and utterly exposed. Not that he could entirely count of Keir to keep his cool he needed Revon to get over to them. At least it was somewhat better protection. He gestured towards Revon, but alas not knowing the youths name couldn't very well call him over, he hoped just by gesturing him to come over would be clear enough.

Keir snapped at the air in front of him, the water barrier forming in a flash before slumping to the ground seconds later. Then ice formed and he pinpointed the source instantly the girl/boy owl's frost dragon Vorel. The black knew he was immune to his own acid but it was quite another matter when it was someone else's, especially when that certain someone else was much older and stronger than you were.

There was not an ounce of fear in Keir's stance, hostility and arrogance was another matter. Raising his head to its fullest extent to make himself taller before readdressing Auloll.

You took the words right out of my mouth. He spat back in rage, casting a look to Flower a glance that uttered pure hatred for the other black radiated from it. I will state once again...I don't care if you want to leave...but if you hurt the kid you deal with me. He dug his claws into the ground to stabilize himself ready for anything.
