The brass dragons eagerly watched the kids arrive. "They want to hear more of our stories! They've come to record the knowledge we have to give to them so that they may pass it along to others of their kind!"
One of the asian lungs floated forward. "What duty have you come to ask of us? We are here to fulfill our agreement."

Her eyes narrowed as they, they being herself, and a bunch of kids she didn't know, were herded off towards the Brass and Asian lungs. And though she found the Asian lungs interesting to look at...they were rather..boring. Knowledge? Wasn't there something a bit more important going on at the moment? Like a big black dragon who was ready to kill them all in the name of freedom?
Hinder followed behind happy to be leaving the immediate danger of extinction, he found it all so interesting. The drama was almost more than he could bear, though truly he just wished to get out of here. As an Asian lung floated towards them he stopped and then pondered. Something had been bugging his brain since they had gotten here, duty? Now there was a good question. Why is it that all you dragons are here in the first place? What made you all agree to the idea? He asked a rather intelligent question to the lung that approached.
Zyan looked to Hinder in astonishment. She had always assumed her dragon was a bit on the slow side. He always followed and never did anything to upset the delicate balance of the household. In short she had assumed he was just a bit like Vorel. Slow and stupid. She had caught onto the draconian language a lot faster than Chath had thusly she was a bit amazed at the words Hinder spoke.
I mean I can understand the benefits. No hunting, safety, reproducing as requirement, and though I can see why you types would agree readily, I am not sure why those.. He spoke looking in the direction mainly of the large group of blacks, would of agreed in the first place. There must have been something that had drawn them into the contract. And since you are all so knowledgeable and have memories that could fill an entire library twice over, surely you know the reason? He finished with a flourish. Never hurt to flatter the ones you were trying to glean information from.
Zyanya looked at Hinder like she was meeting him for the first time...even though she had been with him for months! She knew there was something sneaky about him! And now how did she feel proud. He lulled even her into a sense of him being stupid when he was actually rather intelligent. Which meant...that he must of have some plan that went along with being Baroness's lackey. What a relief.

Lian... didn't know what to make of this. Who did? They had been called up in the dead of the night and he - and his two cousins - had been hauled out here.
To be shrinks and negotiators to the dragons.
The adreniline junky didn't know whether to be relieved, laugh or to be pissed off. He was TIRED, damnit, but the thrill of it all shot that sweet natural drug through him. This was like a video game, but better. It may just be one of those boring plot/talking parts but still.
Totally video game.
I am grateful for my boy. Xiaos voice was slow and lazy, echoing in Lians head just enough to make him jump. It was a whisper in his ears, like talking behind a close door, but he knew that gentle voice was his dragon. She was partially coiled around her boy although the rest of her length was hovering still. Calm eyes were on the adults, paws twitching slightly. And I have to agree... You all knew what you were getting into when you were signing that contract. Produce us, keep quiet and live in relative luxury. But why? Wouldn't living onyour own, free to produce your own children with who ever else, be an attractive offer as well? What pulled you to it?
So he didn't know what she was saying. Didn't mean that he didn't know HOW she was saying it.

Ephrem was growing more anxious by the second, nearly jumping ten feet with every loud noise or sudden movement. He was being extremely cautious, and Sahra found this to be rather puzzling. Simply said, it didn't seem like him—normally he was obnoxious, not particularly caring about much. But the cause was easy to guess—it had to be all the dragons—he didn't much care for others of his kind.
Sahra slipped her way off of her partner, advancing several paces in front of him to quickly for him to properly react to. She only caught about half of what the other child's dragon had been speaking so notably; the bits and pieces she sorted through in her mind didn't all seem to fit, but she thought she got the general idea. "What is behind it all?" She spoke lightly, her face free of interruptive emotion. "There's always a catalyst, and a starting product. Something caused it..." More or so mumbling to herself by now, she didn't have anything particularly intelligent to add, he thoughts were far to jumbled.
Silver eyes shot to a spotted form—Sahra's rushing off made his temper flare—how could she just run off so distracted, blindly into a situation? In an attempt to assure she was not in focus, Ephrem slithered in front of Sahra, constricting upwards to meet her height. His back was to her, in a firm, protective stance—he was facing the adults, "You're very honorable, so their is no doubt that you will uphold your bargain and not cause trouble. You're all far to refined for that, anyhow." he knew simply that Brasses knew a plethora of knowledge, and Lungs had a warriors honor, not much, but hopefully enough. "It is a mystery as to why you all even wanted to come in the first place, or why such troublesome souls as your counterparts would be willing to agree with such a contract. I am sure you could all answer such questions with ease. But my question has to be this: what will you do?"
Sahra muttered something unattainable under her breathe, muffling her words with a sigh—she wished they would all just use English. She didn't know enough Draconic to completely understand what was being said. Other the other hand, puzzles were fun.

One of the asian lungs, a Chinese Fireball to be exact, settled himself before the children. Seeing the confused looks upon a few of their faces, he answered in English for their benefit. "We were being hunted. Killed, captured, slaughtered all for the joy of humans who wanted to prove their worthiness. Our heads became trophies while the rest of our bodies rotted in the sun. D-corp offered us their protection as well as comfortable living arrangements and food brought to us. Of course we all agreed, though some far more quickly than others. But we were all tired of seeing our families killed for no reason. Thus, we came here."
The male then glanced over at Ephrem. "What can we do but uphold our word and honor by staying here like we promised? We tried talking to the others, but not all of them will listen..."

The needs of many outweigh the needs of a few. Xiaos voice was a bit chillier then before, those pretty eyes narrowed. But in this case, it is not need. It is impatiance. Or negligence. If the angrier are set free, they would create havoc. Then there would be more killing of our kind. How would that help anything?
The tip of her tail twitched and the young lung twisted to nose against Lians spiky blonde hair, nibbling at his cheek fur in affection, despite the tone og her dragon language.
These mortals will not hurt us. My boy would take death instead of letting me pass. Many of us are friends with our mortals. Many of us are loved by them. We are fed, we are trained. Your children here aren't being neglected or hunted. Is she upset by this or by the fact she is no longer in complete control?
Her grumbles faded as Lians multi-colored, padded fingers shifted to stroke at Xiaos cheek, a fond smile on his lips.
"Not all of the others are honorable, huh? Well, what can they really do now? D-Corp has the eggs. My sister has one of those preening feathery fluffheads about to hatch in the nursery. So even if they leave, D-Corp STILL wins. Why not just stick around to make sure the bratlings are taken care of?" He grins as Xiao continued to nibble, the fluffy tail twitching. "If they left... s**t's happened here, before. What if the techs took it out on the kiddie dragons?"

"I'm sad to say that I agree." A prolonged huff escaped from lips curled over barred teeth, Ephrem found himself intensely uncomfortable in his current situation. "Allowing such wretched creatures off would, surely, would only cause more problems than trying to keep them here, not only for all of you, but for the imbeciles, too. The authorities could always find a loop hole and trace them back to this corporation if they were to cause an uprise in society."
Running her hand along the dragons spine, Sahra made a quick attempt at getting her partners attention. She leaned forward, wrapping both of her arms edgily around his earthy toned snake-like body. "Can't you, please, stick to English?" she whispered only loud enough for his ears, in a potentially whiny voice, "I don't understand more than half of what you're saying."
Ephrem sighed, his expression immediately relaxing. Twisting his head around, his gaze fell upon his spotted companion—he chuckled, rolling his eyes. "You need to study harder." His voice has deep with a distinct accent. "I am not sure what the imbeciles will do," he went on, "But I could truthfully care less. How ever, we were asked to accomplish a task. You say you will uphold your word, correct, my elder? And as for the rest," with a neutral expression and a side-ward glance, his attention turned to the Brasses. "What action will you take, my wise brethren?"
Sahra didn't see any reason to worry. Everyone she knew took good care of their partners, how could they not? Over time it seemed that their bond only deepened. This couldn't have anything to do with why the old Black was uprising, it just wasn't logical. "She's surely having issues. Or maybe just acting part of a sulky, stubborn, child?" Her voice had quieted with her comment—she had to admit that the large elder Black did make her a bit nervous, but only because of her size. The cheetah pressed the side of her head hard against the body of her dragon friend, green eyes befalling Auloll, filled with anxiety.

Looking at the dragons around her she found her patience dwindling, unwilling o sit down in case something exciting happened she instead shifted from foot to foot listening vaguely tot he conversations that were being had. They all brought up good points but as intelligent as she was she couldn't help but find this all so boring.
Hinder on the other hand liking have an conversation that actually have relevance in what may happen. More importantly, what makes the rebellious dragons think that anything has changed in the outside world? If anything hasn't mankind had more time to develop easier and more dangerous ways to dispatch an enemy? I don't think they would take lightly to a 'threat' reemerging into the world. Humans tend to jump the gun and will kill before finding out what is really happening. What is the saying? Shoot now, ask questions later? Hinder snorted and rolled his eyes back over to Auloll's form.
Zyan thought on what her dragon had said. It made sense...and he was right humans tended to react badly to a 'threat'.
“In the end aren't they just dooming their species by leaving?” Not that she would mind terribly the extinction of black dragons but neverthless it was one less interesting creature in the world. I don't mind having to stay and make eggs. . .Hinder quipped honestly and Zyanya only stared at him.

The Chinese Fireball considered the words of the three young dragons for a long moment. "I don't see why they want to cause so much harm, either. I suppose one could call it part of our duty to this company to try and convince them to leave without doing harm..." The male glanced over towards his draconic brethren. "What do you think? Shall we group together with these young ones and uphold our honor by convincing the others to leave peacefully?"

Hinder liked the idea of no fighting...but then...what would stop the dragons once they got outside? His larger spikey head looked over the groups of dragons before finally coming to rest on the blacks. He really hoped Keir kept his anger in check. . .
Zyan was thinking along the same lines of thought as her green. "Well it would be fine and dandy to get them to leave peacefully, but what happens once they get outside? will they continue to live peacfully out there as well?" she asked not really wanting to ponder the thoughts of being eaten alive once she left the building. Or even a couple months down the road. The very thought chilled her.

The Fireball nodded. "Hmm... yes. We'd have to make sure they didn't fight until far away from here. After all, we have no control over them after that, but we could make sure they caused no harm until away from this place." The dragons behind him nodded. The Asian Lung glanced towards the children. "Will you help us convince the others to leave peacefully?"

Ephrem really didn't understand the concept of leaving safety. It was a lot less painful, a lot less of a risk to just stay and work out their problems. So what if some of them had issues? Why not work them out instead of going off into a world were they'd most likely cause trouble and end up dead, probably half-stuffed on some game hunter's wall? He had to agree with the green, whom ever it was. Things, logically, should only be worse.
Sahra's gaze had switched over to carefully scanning the adult dragons in they had been assigned to speak with. They all seemed rather calm, and not particularly edgy, so she guessed the situation in concern for their talk should end well. Her ears flickered as she listened carefully to the dragons' conversation.
Perking up at the Lung's question, it took both Re and Sahra several seconds to double think the answer before replying. It was an obvious answer, but what were the risks? Was it worth it? Well, Sahra guessed it probably was, keeping a menace like Auloll off of the streets was a particularly good deed on anyone's part. "Of course we'll help." Ephrem answered in a low, smooth tone. He was of course, speaking on his and Sahra's behalf.

"Off we go, then!" The Fireball announced and led the way over to Auloll.
((I'll post over in the other thread, so you guys can just follow the leader... biggrin ))
