RULES

That's right-- writers. In writing there is always the question of when to censor when not to censor.

So here is a simple procedure to keep things peaceful and creative in this forum:

1. Gaia Terms of Service- there should be a link at the VERY bottom of every Gaia page. These are a great guideline to go from!

2. Thread Makers READ THIS- To keep the forum organized, to allow some freedom to the writers, and to get clear expectations the following system will be used...

When making a thread in this forum it would be helpful to post your own rules on the first page of the thread.

If you want a thread heavy with action and fight scenes posting a warning to readers of violence is advisable. You might also want to state whether violence is acceptable in replies to your thread. This is so persons with weak stomachs know before they read-- spiffy. It also lets others know which works they have are good to be posted.

This grants you the ability to be the judge (within reason) AND lets the faint of heart know not to read. It also allows us some organization. That way people will know which threads might be better to post in.

Example: "Short Stories" "Action Scenes" "Poetry" "Free Style" are all great themes to pick.

If you've already made a thread you have the ability to edit it if you'd like to set up some boundaries, rules, themes, etc.

This is an experimental system for the time being. So far we have been fortunate to have a great guild in terms of consideration. Hopefully under this system writers have some degree of autonomy and in turn readers have some idea what is in store for them.
