I am going to try to be nice about this... It is time we stopped saying "I am baptist"
Or "I am catholic"
Put our differences aside and look what really matters in our faith.
Our lord Jesus Christ!

i'm pentecostal, and people, mostly baptists and catholics, say my church is demonic... excuse what i'm goingto say... but... WHAT IN THE HELL DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE IF I LIKE TO GET EXCITED, AND SHOW GOD THAT I LOVE PRAISING HIM, THAT I WILL DANCE BEFORE HIM, CLAP, AND SING ALONG WITH HSI PRAISES, DOES THAT MAKE ME DEMONIC, THAT I WISH TO SERVE, TO PRAISE, AND TO GET TO KNOW MY GOD BETTER, WHAT THE HELL DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE, JESUS CHRIST IS OUR SAVIOR, GET OVER YOUR RETARDED a** DIFFERENCES AND MESS OFF, YOU CALL YOURSELF 'HOLY' HOLY PEOPLE DONT CLAIM THAT OTHERS CHURCHS ARE 'DEMONIC' ITS RUDE, AND QUITE FRANKLY, PROVES YOUR IMMATURE AND STUPID!!!!!!!... sorry, i needed to get that out. its so depressing that sooooooo many christians can't accept the fact that we all believe in the same thing, Jesus Christ is our Savior, so what does it matter how we praise, or serve, or read our bible. God said we gain entrance into Heaven by confessing with our tongues that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and if we ask for forgiveness for our sins. We all believe that, why the hell do you have to get in stupid arguments over who's church is better??????? the worst part, is that its most adults liek that. my aunt said to my moms face that we go to a demonic church. Yea, well... JESUS LOVES YOU!... yea, i'm demonic alright. I pray, i talk to God. He even tells me what to do, most the time i follow without question. I found a quarter near my dads truck before i went to a football game (GO RAVENS!!!) well I heard God tell me to pocket it. so i did. After the game, i heard him say there was a homeless person, to put the quarter in his cup. Well after i heard that, i came around the corner, and there he was, a poor homeless man, with a cup, old, and withered. I put the quarter in his cup. And cursed myself the whole way home for not having more to give him. If i'm demonic, then tell me why God talked to me.

I'm baptist.

junkie's little rant reminded me of soething that happened on the way to our Mexico mission trip.

There was a couple from another church who went with us. They were friends of my Youth Pastor from college. She was lutheran and he was pentecostal and the first night during our devotion thing they give their testimony/a little about themselves because most of us didn't know them that well. The girl shared first and had mentioned in hers near the end that he was raised Pentecostal. She finished up and said it was his turn. And in his dry humor straight face manor he asked, "Okay honey, where are my snakes?" It was funny.

But yeah, I have nothing against pentecostal. I know they believe wholeheartedly in all the stuff that matters. And hats off to Pentecostals for being so bold. But it is always fun to have someone in a group to pick on, and when it comes to denominations, Pentecostal is the easy target.

As long as the picking on is purely in jest. I like a good joke as much as the next person. I'm also a Pentecostal. I crack jokes at times about my church not to be mean, but ones just to lighten the mood around others getting in heated arguments about my church compared to theirs. Yet sadly some mean what they say about us & that's sad. I've been told by my Pastor that the biggest christian/Bible related store in my area frowns on us. They say were a cult. Now that kind of picking on is truly sad. I still shop at the store though. I wont let the opinions of what appears to be some false christians stop me from buying christian music or other things I like that they sell. We are to be one in the body of Christ. I surely hope someday the whole christian community understands that.

I'm just sick and tired of it. A lot of these people have testimonies, and they tell them with faith, and confidence. And tell people not in christ that they are blind... How can they call those people blind when they can't even see that we're one? We're all the same, we're all followers of Christ, yet they refuse to see that. Then claim that nn christians are blind? I bet at least 50% of those people they call blind dont want to be christian because of the needless persecuton within the Christian community.

I can't tell you how much I agree with this. I consider myself non-denominational. People ask me what this means, and I just tell them that it simply means I accept Jesus as my Savior and my way into Heaven, I love God and worship him, and consider the Bible to be God's Living Word. How do you think God feels when he sees us not only fighting with other Christians, but that we're fighting over Him?

My friend's a Presbyterian and I regularly attend her church on Sundays. Now, that church is filled with wonderful Christian people, but they argue over the inconsequential things! Like whether to use bread or crackers for Communion. Dx Or sometimes the arguement is over something completely earthly, like how many vacation days the reverend should have. These little spats tear her church apart.

I hate when anyone bogs down the worship or service of the Lord with such earthly matters.

Before i say this, i want anyone who's catholic to know i'm not singling out just the catholic faith.

I go to Calvert Hall, a catholic high school. "We need litrugy band members, oh, by the way, you can only be a confirmed catholic" "If you are not catholic, you may not recieve communion" excuse me... but what in the HELL? You come to my church, communion is open to all followers of Christ, all christians, regardless of who you are, what your faith is. We welcome you with open arms. Why is it that certain denominations say that theirs is better than everyone elses? Its a never ending conflict.

The civil war in Ireland (long time ago) was between 2 faiths of christianity, they hated each other so much, that they killed each other. Last i checked, this is not the Church that Jesus wanted us to have. We are to TRY to live like him. No ones perfect. And thats what some denominations fail to realize. They say it, then they think that everyone else is less than them. Now, before i get hate mail and death threats, I'm not saying this because Pentecostal is the "best" church. I'm not saying that at all, all i'm saying is why in the hell do these people fight and bicker over nothing? exclude their brothers and sisters in faith, simply because they believe a lil thing differently than them? Isn't the Christian community supposed to be devoted to eradicating persecution??? then we complain how not enough people know Jesus Christ in their life. THAT'S BECAUSE THEY SEE US AT EACH OTHERS THROATS, WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY WANT TO BE DRAGGED INTO ALL THAT???? if i wasn't christian, i'd say christians were snobs, self righteous hypocrites. But i myself, am a christian, my heart breaks over this useless persecution. How can these people live with themselves??? Again, i'm not singling out anyone.

this is what i propose... i know NONE of you know me, but why don't we try a new outreach WITHIN the church itself, to help others see the equality between the different faiths. Yes, yes, i know, they have a differently named faith than yours. I promise it'll be ok. And it will get much better once we can accept the fact that we all believe essentially the same thing, Jesus Christ is our Savior. We should start a new movement within the different faiths, NOT to start a new one, but to help those who refuse to see the truth, see it.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

Jesus said that to his disciples. Are we not disciples???? This commandment applies to all followers of Christ. Every believer is held to this.

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said to him, "Are You a King then"

Jesus Answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause i was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice"

Truth... the truth is that we are one, wether you like it or not.
