Nipo lounged on top of a crate at the docks, watching the ships through half-closed eyes. She had found herself getting a bit more daring and wandering out of the fields to find this place. Her mouth stretched as a large yawn emerged and she shook her head. She was bored of just sitting around watching. She had done that for most of her life and wanted to change. She sat up frustrated and began to groom herself.

Nipo's ears pricked when she thought she heard paw steps, perhaps of her own kind. Straightening she glanced around hopeful for a special someone. Then she saw the deep green pelt of Serille and let out a kind sigh.

"Serille!" she called out while she jumped down. Her adopted son stopped in his tracks and glanced around. Troublesome as other teens he was always getting tied up in his best friend Damie's mischief.

"Mom!" he said happily and trotted over. He didn't share the fears of most of his friends and dashed happily about everywhere. "Whats you doing out here?"

Nipo crinkled her nose at his slang, she couldn't help thinking something was wrong with him every time he talked like that.

"Oh nothing much. Just hanging about and exploring for once." she said smiling.

Nipo began to weave her way through the humans after saying a few more words with her son. Though they were close they didn't spend that much time together when away from the woods. While she was looking around a human nearly stepped on her sending her up into the air and startling the human who's foot had nearly squished down on her. It said something angrily before carrying on. Nipo shook her head and began to fly about above the peoples heads looking for anymore familiar faces.

Serille sat and watched his mother till she took off into the air. He envied her and her ease for flying. He was still as clumsy as ever, even though he practiced whenever he could. Turning towards the crates his mother was just on he flew clumsily onto the lowest one and made his way upward till he stood on top with a good view.

Serille toppled over as something hit from behind. As soon as he heard the yell though he knew who it was.

"Damie!" he purred happily. "You scared the crap out of me!"

Nipo was gliding along some wind drifts when she heard a yell of a buttercat. Glancing down she saw something bounce what she believed was Serille. She sighed inwardly, recognizing Damie's pelt, but then remembered that Fate was sometimes with him and flew down towards them

Serille licked Damie back before taking a step back to sit down. He had seen something in his friends eyes.

"What are you plotting now?" he asked in a hushed voice, eyeing his mother nervously. She seemed to have a sixth sense when it came to him being/getting in trouble.

Nipo purred at Fate and licked him.

"Our owner took us away for a bit but we're back now." she explained. "Of course it doesn't help with the fact that she's a ditz and got us lost."

The grin was infectious and it soon spread across Serille's face too. He didn't agree with leaving his owner tied up but he also knew that Panther didn't like Damie either.

"So what's the plan for this plot?" he asked, his voice still low. He figured that Fate would preoccupy Nipo but he wasn't about to take any risks.

Nipo shrugged. "It might have to do with us being her only ones. She's very protective of Serille though."

Nipo stared at him for a moment, thinking something over before talking again.

"So what are you doing around here?" she asked, somewhat curious to the amount of buttercats in the area.

Serille bobbed his head agreeing with Damie. He had no real goal for conquest, nor did he hear the whisper his friend passed.

"So what shall we do now, oh fearless leader?" he drawled humorously.

Nipo shook her heading smiling.

"How could you get bored with little ones? After Serille grew up I realized how much I missed having a little one around." she said. "Though I guess it would be a bit different for a boy."

She smiled mischievously with her last comment. From watching how males behaved, though she admitted to not seeing a lot of them, she guessed they didn't enjoy the child rearing as much as the mothers.

Serille chuckled to himself. He had outbursts of energy like Damie, but he was managing to lengthen them with practice.

Nipo rolled her eyes and glanced in the boys direction.

"I don't think so. He never mentions it to me and acts about the same with the other boys." she said a bit exasperated by her son's ignorance, completely forgetting she also shared the same trait. "Things have worked out in Damie's favor though. Serille hasn't taken any interest in any girls yet."

She smirked at the thought of it, knowing that her son's lover would not allow him to get out of his grasp that easily.
