What game genre(s) do we need to see more of? What genre's do you think have been neglected because of the popularity of others?
I think 3D Platform Games such as Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, Crash Bandicoot, etc have been neglected and I really love that genre and it's a shame very little is being done with it. Those and select Action-Adventure games have defined what gaming primarily means to me and I hate the fact that a select few genres are the most anticipated when it comes to new games. I wish they can branch out more.

Action/platforming games. More Marios.
We need more quirky games, too. We have strangeness in Warioware and newfound Rayman, but I want to see a title like Cubivore come to light again, or something that was fresh, like the first Katamari.

Side-scrolling revamped. Metroid Fusion was fun, but we haven't seen a new side-scrolling Metroid in far too long. Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow was also a great side-scroller.
Wii would probably be the best for some of these. I'd love to see a side-scrolling game that has some interaction with the background -- kind of like Super Paper Mario.
Other than that... Jet Force Gemini Banjo-Kazooie Mischief Makers

I think for the most part, sidescrolling will remain on handheld form, unless it does something truly creative, like Jungle Beat did.

"Do you Think that Ju-nior's Dy-no-mite? I'd love to see something that mixes Action RPG and TPS together, (I.E.: Kingdom Hearts and Gears had a Baby).
That would be Pwnsome.
Do ya think that Sen-ior's Dynomite?" Junior Senior, Dynomite.

Side scrollers!!!! I love side scrollers!!! I want a port of...gah I think the game was called pathfinder...on the psp. (Game I speak of was on the ps1 and you played this lil ship thing that shot at machines and you could pick up various guns and armaments. I was only able to play the demo but I msut have played that demo about 300 hundred times before I lost it.)
Maybe a new fighting game. Something different from all the franchises we have.
A cheap (price wise) party game. Games like GH & DDR are great and all, but they cost a lot. (None of my friends like FPSs so I can't count FPSs as good party games crying )
Back off of the FPSs! I love em, I want more of 'em!
