The evening air was just as chilled as yesterday's, but the sky was clear and the ground was free of any mist or fog... however there were still copious amounts of moisture and dew clinging to the park's grass and it soaked into the Sorrow's bleach white hemline as she stood against a tall tree.

She didn't notice though. She just continued to play; bringing the pale bow over the silver strings of her white wooden violin as fingers flew to create each note. The song was of an eerie sort, but pretty just the same. It moved at a medium pace, but each chord was complex and changed swiftly from one to the next, its sound curling about the boughs of the old tree before floating off into the air.

He was quite a way away from his home above his shop. Normally he didn't range this far, but after closing he had just felt the need to take a walk...and except for a brief stop for some water, he hadn't stopped moving since. Now he was in a park, no few miles away from where he lived, simply wandering as he enjoyed the silence of the night.

And then, sound would interrupt his senses. A violen, from the faint music he could hear. The question was...who on earth would be playing music this late? He didn't know, but the innate curiosity smoldering in him was poking, even as he kept moving. Almost without realizing it, he would find himself walking towards the music.

Soon enough he would stop, standing far enough away that he would not intrude but still close enough to hear the music clearly, and see the player. His sense of other Clockworks wasn't the best, so he did not notice that aspect, but...he did find the music beautiful. Even if he wouldn't readily admit it.

It was only when the song came to a close, and the bow parted ways with the silver strings, did the musician even get the faintest sense that there was someone else in the area. Letting her bow hand fall to her side, she stared ahead in her blindfolded state and simply listened for a second, letting her race's inherited senses sort out what she was feeling... it was familiar, yet not at all.

"This time of day seems to attract many of our kind,"
she said suddenly. Her voice sounded of silver bells and chimes - pretty and pure -, and there was a sort of soft "coo" in it as she spoke loud enough to to only just be heard by the Other.

When he was spoken to by the blindfolded woman, Tristan was admittedly surprised that she knew he was there. And though he had a sneaking suspiscion about what she was talking about...it was one he chose to ignore. One he didn't want to think about. In fact, he didn't like thinking about it so much that he pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a puff to distract himself before he replied.

"I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about, with the 'our kind' comment."

The white haired woman lifted a brow beneath her blindfold as she turned her head in the direction the voice had come from. "Are you not a Sorrow; a damned creation from an experiment gone wrong by one named Sionek?" Her reply was uncharacteristically... terse, and she held a very vehement tone - under all that cooing - as she uttered that man's name.

"So after centuries of trying to avoid you others, I run into one by chance. The world just loves to play sick jokes on us, doesn't it?"

He would take a deep drag on his cigarette, and then sigh the smoke out, ashing it off to the side. He really had tried his best to just live as a human these centuries. In rememberance of his wife. He still loved and missed her, even after all this time. And to the other Sorrows...he was supposed to be dead and gone.

"Ah well...can't hide forever, I suppose. Though I have to say, I don't recognize you."

She nodded to his first statement before going into the second.

"Nor do I recognize you... how ever, I must say you have a very familiar feeling about you..." She said almost slyly as she lowered her violin and and held it in the same hand as her bow. Relique already had a strong idea of who the other Sorrow was.

"I wouldn't see why, unless you had seen me before. And as I've been 'dead' for over four hundred years, I doubt you would have."

This girl, pretty as she was, was starting to get on his nerves with her smei-cryptic way of speaking. Maybe it was his time amongst the humans, but he really preferred things to be blunt, or at least straightforward. Not just hinting at things, and moving in circles.

She tilted her chin down for a second in quick thought as she took a few steps away from the tree. "No..." she trailed, and then looked back up in his direction, "however I have seen your counterpart... If I'm not mistaken."

The Sorrow didn't let up on her way of speaking. She just thought he was dense... which only made her continue her "beating around the bush" for she found it silently amusing.

If she could see through the blindfold, she would have seen the surprise apparent on his face. As it was however, he took a moment to compose himself, taking another long drag on his cigarette as an excuse for it. Then, once he was under control, he spoke again. He did have an image to uphold, after all.

"So, you've met Iyemina then. It's nice to know that she's well, or at least was when you saw her. It's altogether likely that she hates me by now though, if she doesn't think I'm dead or hasn't forgotten about me altogether."

She moved her instrument bow with two fingers absentmindedly, a faint discordant notes sounding from the violin itself as bow hair and strings smacked and rubbed a few times. She kept silent for a minute with her chin down again as she went about remembering the things Mina had said to her about her brother. They probably weren't exactly what he wanted to hear... and Relique wasn't one hundred percent sure if Iyemina would actually want her to pass them on... but...

"I can guarantee that she hasn't forgotten about you..." she looked up again and brought up her arms and crossed them loosely over her chest, instrument and bow held a little awkwardly as she did so. "And although she has told me that she is... mad at you, I don't believe that she hates you for I always see a certain look in her eyes whenever she says your name."

She took a lazy step forward. "If you don't mind me asking: why haven't you seen her yet? You two are so close by."

"I told you. I'm 'dead'. Besides...I have a life of sorts among those humans by now. My own store and everything. And unless things have changed, you other Sorrows tend to avoid humans. It would be pointless, even if I'd known she was nearby, or where she was."

Tristan sounded almost sad as he said this, but from his view it was the truth. He had changed quite a bit from the open, trusting young man he had been. The fire had changed him. Still, he did prefer human company. Humans could change, grow, adapt...while most Sorrows seemed stuck in a rut, unable to grow.

"Besides, I haven't been around for that long either. This is the first time I've been back in a long, long time. I'd been in New York."

Relique hid her distaste towards the company he said to prefer along with the confusion that went with it. She herself didn't... hate humans. She knew very well from experience that many were kind. She had learned to forgive many for the past pains they had caused her... but despite that she still had never gotten over a certain hate for a particular group of humans and thus she is always plagued by a stab of malicious hatred whenever the word is really used.

She snapped back to the current situation.

"While I believe that I understand what you are saying, I must disagree with it and say that what you've just told me are not reasons, but excuses," she said eloquently, and then softly added, " and very poor ones at that... but that is just my own personal opinion."

Even if she couldn't see it, Tristan would give her a withering glare. He could sense the distaste and confusion, and she was still avoiding saying anything outright. and this was annoying the hell out of him, which was evident in his tone when he spoke again.

"Listen, if you have something to say, say it outright. Whether about humans or me. I'm not an idiot, or overly fragile, that you need to try and dance around subjects and ease me into them."

Relique tightened her crossed arms as she lifted a pale from beneath the cloth over half her face. She didn't need to see the look he gave her for his tone had given everything.

"If I may defend myself; I never ment to give the notion that I thought you were an idiot, but while we're on the subject, and I'll be blunt just for you, I think that your reasons for not seeing your sister are stupid and poor excuses. And to be even more blunt and to the point: although I did not think you to be an idiot before, I think you are one now. That girl is your sister and nothing is going to change that no matter 'how dead' you are." The whole time she had spoken her voice never rose above that of a normal speaking volume; it was calm and still silver laced, but the cooing had been replaced by a hard nail of a tone that punctured out each point she made.

With that said she went silent and "watched" him from behind her blindfold, unseen crimson eyes unseeingly giving a sharp glare that only increased the natural air about her that caused apprehension and fear in those near area.
