I'd have to say...Avatar of Woe. biggrin

Fear and an Uber tap effect. ninja

Just hate it when I have to face one. ^_^

A toss up between Avatar of Woe and Scion of Darkness.

Both of these are excellent Reanimator fodder, and both have a form of evasion. Scion is brutally simple to get into the graveyard, whereas the Avatar takes more inventive methods.

Serra Avatar
woe could kill serra in one turn... I admit, serras ability is a really good one, but with a tap effect like woes....serras got no chance...besides, you could easily enchant it with something like pasifism...then what happens? ninja

Meh, they don't make avatars as good as I'd thought they'd be. I picture an avatar that has direct synergy with something else instead of being a huge power on its own. Serra's Avatar and the Onslaught avatars would fit this bill.

So yeah, I think both groups are pretty awesome, both flavor-wise and in terms of performance.

Serra Avatar, because I've seen it in powerful decks (life.dec anyone?) Sure, Avatar of Woe is nice, but why not play Visara the Dreadful.

Scion here''s why. Woe cost 8 to cast, Maybe two black IF you''re lucky. Evasion ability easily stopped. Fear isn''t exactly the hardest thing to get around. Tap ability is great yes. But what does it do against things like oh. Kodama of the North Tree? or Troll Asectic to put it even better? Scion is easy to get into the graveyard and easily reanimated and it''s ability wins games by itself. Woe''s doesn''t. Not to mention Dark Supplicant which goes and gets scion wherever it is. And for tournament players. Scion is going to be insane in the new extended. Granted the format will be dominated by mono white, and blue white control. Someone will sneak in with black control (since with only invasion up and torment being heavy it''s very viable) and scion will be one of the kill conditions. xp
Bottom line. Keep woe in your casual games. Take Scion to tournaments.
