*sigh* I know that there's a certain give and take to living with apartmentmates or housemates or whatever, but the refrigerator gets colder every day. I found ice crystals in my half-gallon of juice that were big enough to clog the mouth from pouring. I left a note saying that I had raised the temperature a little bit (to mid-range cold) and it was okay for about 2 days. However, today, when I took my apple out of the fridge I thought I was going to break a tooth off. The apple was nearly frozen itself. So I raised the temperature again. And yes, we have a freezer too. The freezer is cold enough to keep stuff frozen. There's nothing in the refrigerator that needs to be cold enough to freeze fruit and gallons of juice. I don't know what their problem is, but I can't ever get both of them in the same place at the same time to talk about it. x_x and if they are both around, their friends are over and it isn't the right time to bring it up in conversation. What should I do?

I talked to one apartmentmate today. I don't know what'll happen, but I told her how the fruit froze. We shall just have to wait and see.

I think you should take charge. Tell them you can't deal with frozen apples, and they need to turn up the temp. a little bit.
Or if that doesn't work, don't eat until they do. razz

I finally hung out with my housemates last night for like, the first time ever! We had an impromptu party and I imbibed a whole bottle of wine. Good times!
Anyway, I found out why the fridge can't be kept at the level 5 coldness. Something started dripping from the top of the fridge and was getting all over. So it has to be at least on 6. The coldest setting is 8, I think. I'll just have to be careful about putting fruit in the fridge. The rest of the stuff should be okay, I think. At least the soda I had in there didn't get ice crystals like my juice did.
edit: and if I have to bribe my housemates, I'd bribe them with my car cause one of them doesn't have a car up here and the other shares her bf's car.

It looked like it was just water, and it didn't smell like anything, so we just turned down the temp and it went away. I don't have common sense anyway so it doesn't really matter to me. smile

I don't have common sense either, but our fridge is older than some of my siblings so we've had to do lots of things to it to make sure it still works okay.|--- <|Slytherin Pride!
