Anyone here play any games with steam punk elements or even that go so far as to use it as a theme?
I can't think of any full blown steampunk games off the top of my head, but Dark Cloud 1 and 2 get decently close with some of the clothing and certainly a lot of the weapons and the creation system so heavily used in 2.
That and anyone who hasn't played persona 3 should at least look at screen shots. The tower you spend a lot of the game exploring has a huge clock at it's base and various other fun geared things.

*laughs* The only thing I can think of with even visual similarity is the Clock Tower in Soul Calibur 3, where I think you fight Zasalamel? razz (FAIL)

Closest thing I can think of is a game by Sierra called Arcanum: Of Steamwork and Magic Obscura

Usually the final fantasy games will have at least one area in them that has whole steampunk-y feel, with massive gears a plenty, though the actual games are far too much magic based, though of course they do have airships. 6 is the closest though as far as I have heard.

Steambot Chronicles, Final Fantasy VI (aka FF3 on the US Super Nintendo), Chrono Trigger (?), Skygunner.
Perhaps Sakura Wars even though it is more 1920s or 30s.

Okay, Shadow of the Colossus is my favorite game ever (not steampunk though, I know), and the creators are making another game and I think it would be amazing if they involved some steampunk aspects to it, ie disabling giant steam powered monsters or something.

Disabling them from the inside would be cool. That would be pretty cool if there were elements that were inside but a huge part of SotC is that its very open-aired and stamina/agility/maneuvering based which could be hard to involve inside something.

The MMORPG Flyff. It's main boss is called Clockworks, and is made of clockworks. Also there are ginormous gears sticking out of the world since the entire world seems to be built on clockwork. =3

American Mcgee's Alice. Has somewhat steampunky feel to it. Despite all the insanity running around. =)
The Funhouse is the most steampunky in the game. You go against clockwork robots that explode into a million cogs when you defeat them. o_o

Steel Empire for the Genesis. It's a side scrolling shooter where you control an airplane or zeppelin and shoot down enemy airships.

Wonder Project J and Wonder Project J2 on N64. Perhaps some of the Nadia (Secret of Blue Water) games on various systems.

Age of Legends has the Vincians, who whilst I have not played the game to be sure appear to use raw steampunk as a power source (metaphorically speaking). You can see just from lookign at some of their constructs. And they have goggles.

Hmm.. I think I'll make a steampunkish MMORPG. Officially, it's going to be about alchemy, but it could be about alchemy in the industrial period. =]

I remember playing a korean steampunk MMO a while back, "age of steam" or something like that.
It had alot of flaws in both design and gameplay.
Plus nobody spoke english.
The concept was awesome, though.
