Little is known about the caves beneath Takigakure, but it is known to be a safe haven for villagers if the village ever comes under attack. This is also a good place to spy on the village. The hidden caves connect to the great tree that is a safe haven for where the Hero's Water shrine used to be. The caves are somewhat dark, and give an earthly feel to them, droplets of water drip from the ceiling ever few seconds, leaving small pools of water on the ground. Inside of the caverns, stalagmites and stalagtites are a constant menace, not really sharp enough to pierce flesh, but could crush those that are not wary of them. The caves' climate is cool, beneath the waters of Takigakure, but they get enough sunlight from the great tree that it never freezes.

Tobi began searching for the underwater caves through everything until finding supposedly gigantic pools of water scattered across the ground. He actually fell in one and found a long tunnel. He swam forward looking for anything under here that would lead him to the Fifth Dawn but found nothing. He simply continued swimming until burning stretched across his lungs and his brain began to panic his body moved wildly as no source of air could be found, but he son regained control of his body and continued to swim with all his might even as his arms began to ache he continued to swim. His body could no longer go and air seemed to be unreachable having the air already stored in his burst out into a bubbled which crashed into the top of the cave as he began to drown. With water rushing in through the openings in his body .His body began to sink to the bottom .He expected to smack into the bottom of the cave but he continued to fall .It didn't matter s**t though as he was dead either way and darkness surrounded his mind and crushed his life.

Hiro stood erect at the waters edge.It looked deep, but the man said this is where the fortress was.He took his puppet from its scroll and said calmly "Hakatshi style puppet activate!".With that, the puppet broke into pieces.Hiro Jumped into the water and breathed through a piece of hollow puppet. The tubing extended itself and make for easy breathing.Hopefully this would work until he could find a way up.He felt a current and he began going faster and faster still,he could hardly keep up with rebuilding his puppet so he took a deep breath and pulled his puppet together. It disappeared into its scroll and Hiro surfaced not long after.

[Entrance from Forest Clearing]

Nakamura's Mist Portal ripped open in one of the hidden caves that she had sealed off with her ice jutsu. It might have seemed strange to those who have never been in a crystalized cavern before. Stalagmites and stalagtites were adorned within the cavern, her portal opening in front of one she had decorated with iced furniture. Her safe haven away from the village. It was the only other place to find her besides the Shrine of the Summoning Scroll. Almost as if expelling the foreign body from the portal Kaoru seemed to just pop out of the portal. Seconds later, Nakamura's right leg emerged from the portal followed by the rest of her body.

"I hope it wasn't too much of a rough ride for you." she said with a smile as the portal closed behind her. She looked him once over before revealing her smirk to him. "Is it Hikaru... you ask? I'll answer that if you tell me who my little friend is." she added, noting that for some strange reason, she was becoming rather devious with these thoughts. His hands were tied, which meant he couldn't really use hand seals, but what would she do with him other than cutting him loose? She wondered how he would take in her cave, considering that one could see the thick ice sheen that blocked them inside. "Let me get your desired information." she added, quickly sitting down upon the ice coated floor. She began to meditate; her eyes slowly closing; the easist way for her to connect within her mental links. Zenjin. Zenjin. Who is being attacked. Is it another enemy? she asked, her voice growing silent in her mind.

Silence awaited him untill Nakamura's voice entered his mind. Why was she concerned about who was being attacked? It must have meant that she had business reguarding that information. Another Shinobi from the Sound Village has decided to come and stir up some trouble with his lies. He is suffering for his lies. The one you are concerned about is fine... for now.

Zenjin, be carefull. Kusari is probably there by now to aid you if you need it. As will I if you need me. she told him, gratitude in her voice. Once she found her answer, Nakamura's eyes opened, her chakra under her control once again. With each exhale of her breath, the frost that was once visible was gone. There we go. "Zenjin tells me it's not your brother."

Kaoru ladded on his backside when he came out of the portal. He groaned a bit before hearing Nakamura's words. He growled and resisted getting up and pushing her to the ground for such a tease like that. He wouldn't take it from his brother and certainly not her. He perked up when she commented on his brother. "Your friend, Kusari," he answered her quickly. Kaoru may not be as strong as he was, but he could control himself better that that man and he knew that for sure. Stumbling to his feet, he walked over and sat beside her when she was meditating. He leaned in a bit towards her, not meanacingly but out of concern for his brother, and watched her with the same eyes he had before. He had yet to notice the place that the two had appeared in and it didn't matter to him anyway. He began to notice things slowly as he finally took his eyes off of her. Where were they? It was beautiful, though, clearly not as beautiful as she was. The ice room paled in comparison with her. It slowly crossed his mind that he hadn't gotten that blush he'd wanted from her and it almost brought him down from his slight excitement about the room.

He looked back at her quickly when he heard her voice and smiled when she said it wasn't Hikaru. "Thank you. Now...if you don't mind...I don't exactly know if I'm into bondage very much." He gave her a slight wink, now a bit more relaxed since the danger to his brother wasn't in his mind. He smirked at the thought of what he'd said. She was younger than him and brobably didn't even know what he was talking about. And the only reason he knew what it meant was because of damn Hikaru always talking about such things. He'd have to go and pay him a visit sometime soon and hit him. Not for any reason in particular....Just to do it. Kaoru's head turned to look about the room again and absently he asked, "Where are we?"

[Sorry for the delay. My comp decided to crash on me right when I was about to post, so I lost it all, and I kind of lost my inspiration to post for yesterday. sweatdrop ]

Nakamura's naivity and innocence began to shine through as he spoke of bondage. The only thing she knew about it, was that it was used to keep people from moving. Was there a bigger meaning to it? Unless he doesn't like being tied up, I don't see what the problem is... and... why couldn't he just get out? He IS one of our stronger shinobi in the village... let's see what happens if I just leave him in there. she thought to herself, a rather devious smile on her face. Upon realizing that she was smiling, her face quickly moved from confusion to calm in a matter of seconds.

"I never thought of Kusari to be little. He IS alot taller than me." It was at that moment, that she too, looked about the room. It was as if she was searching for a name as she thought of an answer. "This is... I guess you could call it my home away from home. Better yet, it could be called my office. OR it could be called really hard to find." she said with a nod. Although, her nod was too quick for her hair to catch up, which sent one of the kunai she had hidden in her hair flying out from her hair. It hit the floor with a rather loud metallic clang that echoed about the cave. It lasted for a few seconds before fading, Nakamura's face hidden behind her larger ponytail. If her face was visible, it could have clearly looked like a normal girl. One that had never lived in Yukigakure before, the pale complection vanished, leaving a tannish color in it's wake. How embarressing is that? she asked herself before turning away from Kaoru. "Ummm.... Do you think you could get out yourself? If... you don't mind..." her voice was hardly audible, yet the cavern made her voice bounce about. She was too embarressed to cut him free at the moment, but if he couldn't get out, she would have to cut him loose.

(omg I'm sorry I took so long crying )

Kaoru had to keep himself from laughing when she didn't seem to understand him. He stopped himself immidiately when he realized he'd done it though. A bit of embarrassment came into his face when she began to speak. He took a moment and took in a deep breath before turning to her to answer. He smiled a bit when he thought about how tiny Nakamura was to Kusari. Then again, wasn't he taller than her as well? He'd test that sooner or later since he'd never paid attention before. He had to cover his mouth quickly so he wouldn't let the slight laughter escape him. For some reason he just felt like...like...his brother... How weird was that? To be easily entertained by the mere speach of someone else...

He looked down when he heard a sound that startled him a bit. His eyes watched it as it lay on the floor. "Hm? Very well." He said as he attempted to escape from the rope that bound him. He paused for a moment before looking at the kunai that lay on the ground. He walked over and picked it up in his still tied hands. He peered at it for a moment as he attempted to flip it in his hands so he could use it to tear the ropes. He struggled a bit before he ended up dropping the kunai and sighed. He felt a bit useless seeing as he couldn't do it for himself. He didn't want to, but forced himself pick it up and walk infront of her. He knelt on one knee in front of her and held it out for her to take, "Would you do it for me? It seems I can't do it with my large hands. Your smaller ones would do much better."

Mona dreaded the caverns. They were too wet and damp. Every step she took it squished and it sqwashed. To top it off, she was barefoot. She would have much to complain about once she set foot in the village.

[Looks like I'm the one apologizing this time. sweatdrop ]

She was rather suprised that Kaoru wasn't able to break her bonds. Back in Yukigakure, Kyoudai always told her she had a talent with binding people. It seemed that's what she did best, instead of fighting, she always seemed to just simply restrict others from fighting. She could hear him struggling to break free. Kaoru's comment about her hands made alot of sense, but weren't bigger hands better for breaking things? "Sure!" she declared, moving her hands rather quickly to move her hair out of her face. She didn't care about the kunai, it was time for her to show off again. The color once again faded from her as she focused chakra both into her hair to keep it in place, as well as her fingers. "You said you didn't mind the cold, so... this shouldn't be too hard." she added, moving her right index finger towards the rope.

As if to poke the rope from his body, her skin came into contact with the rope. Almost instantaniously, a rather soft crackling sound came from the metal wire as it began to slowly freeze. She was pleased at the results; having no one to teach her about her abilities.

Seconds later, the metal wiring cracked and shattered into thousands of icy particles. "I bet that feels better." an almost curious tone in her voice. She had never been bound before, nor would she ever allow herself to be bound. I dont' see why Kusari freaks out about it so much, Kaoru didn't seem to mind at all... but then again, I did tell him it was happening, and probably knew I wasn't going to do any harm to him. Maybe Kusari just has trust issues? her pondering could almost be seen through her eyes. "Kaoru... do you find it strange that most abilities are defined at birth... and if so... what happens if you don't know the extent of them?"

There it was, the self-reflecting question. She just wanted outside opinions, not of those that knew about her. Sure, Kaoru was scratching the surface of her past, but there were alot of roads that she had traveled.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 18, 2008 2:19 pm

Kaoru took a deep breath when she didn't take the kunai from him but merely put her cold fingers against the rope that bound him. For a moment he felt her brush against him and it sent a shiver up his spine. He bit down on his lip a bit when the ropes became cold and shattered. He brought one hand up to wrap his fingers around his wrist and rub against it. "Hm...much better." She seemed to be caught in her own little world for a moment and he took the chance to hold her hand in his. He flipped her hand over so that her palm was upwards and placed the kunai in her hand gently. "I believe this is yours." Her closed her fingers over the kunai and got up to take a seat next to her. He became silent when he was asked her question. He knew that question well. He'd often asked it to his elders when he was younger. "Well..." His voice was soft and nearly undetectable.

"Strange wouldn't be the word. Unfair? Hm...For things to be defined at birth...it leaves little room for growth. Your abilities are set before you. I long for a normal clan without ablilities that restrict your movements to grow...Sadly...I know the extent of my clan's abilities...And it's not very fair...to anyone. We have to keep close to someone we love...or we go mad. Imagine...if either I or my brother dies or marries off and goes to live with a new love one...he'll be fine...but I...I'll end up going crazy and dying. At least with you, your abilities help you. Mine hinder me and constricts where I can go and what I can do. I've never been anywhere without my brother...You...You've been to Yukigakure. A beautiful place! I've only seen the back of my brother as we travel from one decrepid place to another..." Kaoru didn't realize it but he had formed his hands into fists at the thought of everything.

She gripped the kunai in her hand as he spoke, almost hesitant to put it back on her being. His tone seemed to drop, but one with her senses hear him as if he hadn't dropped his tone at all. It seemed that he had an interesting view on things. Sounds like he has it rough. "That means, that you'll never be alone... so there's an upside to it." her attempt at making his grim situation seem like there was an upside. When he spoke about Yukigakure, it was more-or-less a forced decision.

"In all actuallity, I've been to most of the villages, but Yukigakure is more than just a stop for me... and... maybe you should see the extent of it. How do you know you can't be apart? Have you tested the limits? I mean, at least you have a direction in which you can go, instead of wondering what will happen next down the line." she paused for a second, wondering if she should be so bold. "Don't you have parents? Or someone to tell you what your abilities are?" Or were you like me...

"This is a rather depressing topic. Shall we go back to your questions? I know we kind of were interrupted back at the Clearing." her left hand moved over onto his right hand. It was tense, as if he was angry that he was never alone. I'm never alone either... thanks to Zenjin and the others. She was going to say more, but it was not the time. She began to ponder just what kind of trouble Kusari was getting himself into. Almost smiling at the thought of him trying to fight with everyone he came across.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 18, 2008 6:39 pm

Kaoru looked at Nakamura with a rather sad expression. "Never being alone...it has its downsides too you know...Never having privacy...and it doesn't help that our clan makes it possible to look into eachother's thoughts...It's like...he's always in the depths of my mind and even if I don't want him to be...he's there..." He sighed and slumped a bit where he sat. He listened to her for a moment before a smile came onto his face. So...she was trying to comfort him? A nice gesture...but it wouldn't help. She'd hit a sad note with him and it wouldn't easily be fixed. "I've asked our elders. We can't be apart for more than a couple days, two weeks at most...And no...no parents. We got word our mother died soon after we left our old home...and our father...he could be called good as dead since we were young."

He closed his eyes and leaned back a bit. "Mostly we kept to ourselves, away from everyone else, to train and get to know our abilities and learn to work together. If we have to be together...might as well make it worth it you know?" He smiled weakly to her when she began to speak again. "Eh...I...kind of forgot what I had been talking about...though...just being able to talk to you normally without someone hanging around is just great." He smiled openly at her and began trying to remember what it was he was wanting to ask her before.

How peculiar... the circumstances are completely different, but the lifestyles are almost the same... she wasn't suprised, having him forget his questions. From her experiences, men didn't have good memories. Her smile faded from her face as she picked at that. That's not very nice... there's exceptions to every rule... her eyes shifted to one of thought, examining his words in her mind before speaking. It was something she had become quite good at over the years. It helped that her eye for detail was beyond that of a normal humans'. She then shifted her body towards his, turning her knees towards him, moving just enough so she could see his face.

"At least you only have one person to share your thoughts with. I share mine with three. We can control it so we form mental links, so we'll know if they are listening in on our thoughts and conversations... so our situations are rather similar." she spoke, with a rather cheerfull smile, one that showed she was trying to make light of the situation. She didn't want to seem shy, but her mind was trailing to other thoughts. They had a rather uncomforting run-in awhile ago with those Oto shinobi. Kayome was left behind, while Amadeus and Konpaku were left her in wake. "I trained by myself most of the time too. I know, hard to believe, but I had no friends when I was a child. A stranger in a foreign land. No one to talk to, always being stared at from a distance." Don't make this a story about you. HE'S the one that needs comforting right now. He doesn't need to hear about your past. Her left hand moved over her head, her elbow extended out to him. By her actions, she was trying to portray that she had an awkward moment. "Are you sure you'll be okay?" Nice recovery. Now put your arm down, you look like a dolt. Her arm quickly dropped to her side with a slight sigh that came from beneath her breath.

Kaoru's eyes were to the ground as Nakamura was silent. Didn't take long for her to speak though. "Well...we can't control it...he knows where I am now I bet you. He knows...how I feel...Emotions are one thing that ring clear between us." Similar? Did she even realize how haunted Kaoru always felt? He always had to find a silent place away from Hikaru so he could sleep. While he was asleep Hikaru wasn't in his mind. It was his only safe place...His hand tightened again. It loosened when he realized she had her hand on his. A small smile crossed his face. "Well...you can always talk to me. I'll be your friend," he said softly, looking at her with gentle eyes. "If you want me to be that is." He felt a bit sad when she taken her hand away. When she lowered her hand he took the chance and leaned in a bit and placed his lips on her cheek lightly. After a second he moved back to where he was and looked at her greatfully. "Thanks for trying to make me feel better....but I'm fine." He was happy....he didn't know why but something happened that made him happy... "Now...let me see...what was it I was going to ask...Ah, when did you get to Taki?" Kaoru tried to get his mind off of the fact he'd just kissed Nakamura on the cheek...desperately. Too late though, he already had a tingue of red in his cheeks.

[Sense Motive (81) + d20 (10) = 91

There it was again, her head began to swim and her thoughts were becoming clouded once again. Something about him had a rather disturbing effect on her thought process. Everything he said seemed to float around in her head, her mind in a lull, preventing her from speaking right away. What she wondered, was why he wasn't freaking out. His lips had touched her skin, it's natural defences should have kicked in to emit freezing chakra through her pores. Her right hand dropped the kunai onto the floor, allowing her now free hand to move to the spot that had been touched by his lips. What just happened... she asked herself, placing her right hand upon her cheek, as if cupping it to protect it.

Do not drop your guard. You are now the Takikage and you can't afford to put yourself into jeopardy by forming a relationship with him. Zenjin's voice boomed in her mind. Her eyes shifted from teal to crystal blue for a mere second, Zenjin's eyes displaying themselves through Nakamura. He merely wanted to see what was happening before Nakamura's teal eyes replacing Zenjin's as he fled from her mind.

She was still slightly disoriented when she regained herself. "Can I even have friends? What if something were to happen and they tried to use people against me. I can't afford to get close to anyone. Too many lives are hanging in the balance..." she whispered beneath her breath. Taking note that her right hand had yet to leave her cheek, it slowly slipped limply down to her side.

"When I came to Taki?" she repeated before regaining herself once again. "That's right... Amadeus happened to come upon me in the outskirts of the village... I don't really remember exactly how long it's been... maybe three or four months. I've been so busy that I kind of lost track. What with the Medical Facility being destroyed during the last attack as well as the bath houses... you know... you never really did explain why you came to Taki either. Care to share? her tone was light, as if care-free. "Please don't take offense, Zenjin is always looking out for me." her expression remained the same as she tried to cover Zenjin's tracks.
