Fourth Hokage (Minato Namikaze)

Minato Namikaze (波風ミナト Namikaze Minato?), also known as the Fourth Hokage (四代目火影 Yondaime Hokage?), was the brave and immensely powerful ninja responsible for sealing the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox inside Naruto Uzumaki, soon after Naruto's birth. After completing the sealing and trying to deter the villagers from hating Naruto for the beast within him, wanting them to instead think of Naruto as a hero, Minato died as a side effect of performing the seal. Naruto resembles Minato physically and it is heavily implied that he is Naruto's father.
In his youth Minato, along with two other unknown Genin, was a student of Jiraiya. Prior to becoming Hokage, he had attained the rank of Jounin and he was also the sensei of Kakashi Hatake, Obito Uchiha, and Rin. "Namikaze" translates literally as "wave wind". "Minato" translates as "Harbor" or "Port".
Minato is said to be the greatest ninja Konoha had ever produced, with natural talent that had not been seen in many years. When Orochimaru attempted to summon him in battle against the third hokage, the third hokage said that if he summoned "him", he would surely die. He created several distinctive techniques, including the Flying Thunder God Technique (飛雷神の術 Hiraishin no Jutsu?), which essentially allowed him to teleport to any location with the use of a special seal, or "jutsu formula" (術式 jutsu-shiki?). By attaching the seal to a kunai or an enemy, Minato could teleport to the location of the seal unnoticed, allowing him to wipe out nearby opponents almost instantly. This ability led to his title as "Konoha's Yellow Flash" (木ノ葉の黄色い閃光 Konoha no Kīroi Senkō?), and it caused him to be seen as so dangerous that a flee-on-sight order was given in regards to him during the Third Ninja War. He also created the Rasengan, a technique that does not rely on hand seals but instead uses a concentration of spinning chakra in one's palm that causes immense internal damage to its victim on contact. Later in the series, it is revealed that technique is actually incomplete. Minato had planned to add his own nature manipulation training to the Rasengan, making it even more powerful, but was never able to.
Kushina Uzumaki

Kushina Uzumaki (うずまきクシナ Uzumaki Kushina?) is a ninja of the former Land of the Whirlpool. She had a son, Naruto Uzumaki, with the Hokage of the time, Minato Namikaze. Tsunade and Jiraiya note her to have been very tomboyish when she was young, had noticeably red hair, and grew to become very beautiful. Naruto's personality and choice of ninjutsu are said to be exactly like his mother's. She is presumed to be dead, as she is described in past tense. [
