Picking the little green nuisance up off Zelfen he sighed and glared at the dragon with the one good eye he had. It was no use talking to the idiot dragon as it never listened to him anyway. He had no idea why he'd thought bringing a strange egg he'd found laying Ix's of all people's home was a good idea.
Tossing Panzer onto another table he sat down and rubbed the bridge of his nose. Just wait. Torch was going to light something else on fire and he'd have to just give up on getting anything done for the day.
"I swear i am going to lock you in a cage just so i can have a days peace!" He waved a hand at Panzer as hes poke. He wouldn't have peace. There was no peace with his apperitance, why did he have one of those anyway?, around but at least he could deal with him.

He was most certainly not going to be lighting anything on fire. At least... Not yet. He had found something and this something was his. He had carefully rolled it back into the 'nest', dragging a pillow out of Old Grumbly's study to prop it up on before curling around it, clucking and chirping softly.
It was his precious. His egg. It had to be his even if he didn't remember laying it. It was rainbow-like, afterall. It looked like his wingtips... At night.
His brow furrowed slightly as he peered into his room to check on Torch. He had been acting funny lately... A bit too funny. His eyes went wide as he peered in to see him wrapped around what looked like... An egg.
He stumbled back into the hallway, bringing his fingers up to brush them through his hair. "Oh no... No, that's not good. Not good at all..." Jaxom was going to have his head. He'd said that he didn't want any more dragons and here Torch had found one somewhere.

Watching Zelfen crawl up onto a bookcase that somehow the green menace hadn't been able to get up yet he got up. That would mean peace from the two of them for a few minuets at least.
Coffee, Coffee with rum, yes that's what he wanted. He headed down the hall and raised a brow as he saw his apperentance standing in the hall looking slightly perturbed.
"What now?"

He jumped before straightening himself out quickly, not wanting to be grumbled at for 'slacking' or anything. "Um." He could lie and say nothing... Then again, he could also find himself sleeping out on the porch tonight when Jaxom found out that 'nothing' meant 'something' like it generally did...
"It... Seems like Torch brought something home, sir. I know it's not his. Couldn't be." Torch was a boy dragon, afterall... And boy dragons didn't lay eggs... Even if his boy dragon was acting a bit birdy.

His eye narrowed. "Brought -what- home." He stopped just short of the younger man. If he said what he thought he was going to say he was tossing him and that damn dragon of his out.

He bit on his lower lip, worrying it for a moment before stepping aside so that the older man could look into the room. "I don't know where he got it, sir. My guess is that there's something missing from the rookery and that someone's looking for it. I could get some flyers made to put up about... Find it a nice home before it even hatches."
If he would be able to get the egg away from him, that was. He had curled protectively around it and, at the chatter out in the hall, he'd started to growl softly. This was his special. No one else could have it. Especially not Old Grumbley. He would just be mean to it.

He looked in the door and glared at both the orange dragon and the egg it was curled around. "You're going to make him let it go..." He turned slowly back to the younger man.
"Or i am going to throw him, it, and you out the door. There is enough trouble with him, Zelfen, and Panzer around." To hell with what the dragon thought. There was no reason for him to have drug an egg home when it probably belonged to someone.

His nose wrinkled as he lifted his head from on top of the egg, flickering his forked tongue out at Old Grumbley. He'd seen Dorian do it before when he was upset with the elder man. It seemed to fit... Even if he wasn't quite sure what it meant.
He placed one clawed paw on the egg, shifting it slightly in order to roll it closer to him. His. Old Grumbley could lay his own egg if he wanted one that badly.
As sure as he was that there was something lodged up Jaxom's rear he was certain that it wasn't an egg and, had he known what Torch was thinking, he could have told him that. He swallowed hard before nodding. "... Yes, sir. But... Might I suggest finding someone to claim it before I attempt to er... Do what you asked?" He wasn't going to get his bloody fingers bitten off if they didn't even have something to do with the egg.

"I don't sell dragons. I sell potions." He grumbled as he leaned on the doorframe. "What am i suppose to do? Sell it to the first person to walk though the door?"
He waved a hand down the hall toward the shop front. There were bottles of everything and anything in there but there were not dragon eggs. They were far too much trouble for him to want to deal with. His own two were proof of that.

He, much like his dragon, was sorely tempted to make a face at the apothocary. He was certain that he could tell him what to do with the egg... But he wasn't all that certain that either Jaxom, Torch or the egg would enjoy it. Hmm... Nevermind. Jaxom might.
"That could be an idea, sir. It would all depend on who was the first to walk through the door though." He nodded. If Jaxom did that he could at least profit from the misfortune of Torch rolling an egg home.
He did not like this idea and he made it clear by growling softly, draping his tail protectively around the egg while splaying a wing over it as if he could hide it from the two wizards talking. If they couldn't see it then it wasn't there and they couldn't have it. His.

Hearing the dragon growl he turned and looked at it. "You are not keeping that. So get all your cuddling in while you can..." He refrained from calling the dragon a nuisance as he turned to stalk back down the hall. He still wanted the coffee and rum.
"Dorian..." He paused for a moment so he knew the other was listening. "If anyone comes in while i am getting a drink make sure they know that we have an egg that needs disposing of"

His tongue flickered out at Old Grumbley again as he made a sound as close to what Dorian had called 'raspberries' as possible. He could easily just move his precious shiney and hide it away until it was too late. They couldn't take it if he did that.
Sighing he made his way into the room, reaching to give Torch a light pat on his head. "... I don't want to get tossed out, Torch. I promise we'll find a good home for it." Hoping that his dragon at least partially understood that he backed out of the room, heading out to watch the shop front.

He grumbled to himself as he went in the kitchen to make a fres pot of coffee. He could just make enough for him maybe a second glass. He cleaned a cup and found his good rum while it bubbled.
Once the coffee was done and he'd spiked it nicely he made his way back out toward the main part of the shop.

He entered the shop and peered around for a moment, silver hair pulled into a loose braid that fell down along his back. He was both younger and older than he looked and nothing in between. His smirk was almost boyish as he picked up a glass vial and tossed it into the air, trying to catch the attention of the young shop clerk.
His attention was caught and he quickly scrambled to his feet, snatching the bottle out of the air. "Don't do that." His nose scrunched as he held the bottle closer to him. "Don't you know better than to do that?"

He heard Dorian talking to someone and from the tone didn't like it. Grumbling into his coffee he pushed the door open and headed toward the counter. He'd just let the younger man deal with it until he heard something break. Hopefully it would be nothing acidic or explosive this time.
Taking a seat on a padded stool behind the counter he sighed and looked across the store to watch whatever was going on.
