Sooo...we have our beloved beautiful and bold ;p characters that are our favorites and we (if we could) become them fastly. Well, at least I have couple of them. Share your thoughts about them! I am very curious.

I currently have a fetish for the vampire hunter, D. I started reading the books about a month ago and I've just started the 3rd. I recently had the urge to watch the first film again from 1985, and got terribly hooked on him again...especially when I heard his theme again! (Please refer to the VHD thread in the Film & Anime lounge for more info). He has such a brilliant theme! *Swoons.* Funny how every girl he meets in the books do that and I'm just as badly affected. heart

Why do I go for all the quiet ones? Oh, besides Louie from Rune Soldier. He's just a nutcase, but I like nutcases as well. Noticed all four have long hair? That's because I find short hair on men a turn off, and long hair a real turn ON.
Other fantasy characters? Are there any? There's Galveron from Maggie Furey's "Shadowleague" trilogy. I had to skip to the backs of each book to make sure he lived.

Well Dalamar Nightson from Dragonlance Novels, he is so dark and yet he understands the light. Also the fact that he is an elf and a magic user on top of that doesn't hurt.
Belgarath the Sorcerer form the Belgariad and Mallorean, by David Eddings is also a great characterIn all honestly there are just too many to name.

I love Fast Claw from Tailchaser's Song. This is a ... cat, well, kitty, but he caught my heart. My favorite human character is Daenerys Targaryen from A Song of Ice and Fire. At the beginning I didn't like her, because she seemed weak for me. But later...perfect heroine. And she has dragons!
I also like Vainte from Eden by Harry Harrisson. She is great leader and when she felt, she could stand up again. I adore strong characters.

For me are amazing a lot of fantastic character and creature. So, i think that my favorite now are elf, Vampire and... Hobbit XP heart !!!

Well...
I absolutely adore Lestat de Lioncourt, one of Anne Rice's vampires ... He's just undescribable whee
Kira/Luzifer, Alexiel and Setsuna of Kaori Yuki's Angel Sanctuary are also characters who I really love. 4laugh
I also really like Larva of Narumi Kakinouchi's Vampire Princess Miyu... He's also one of those silent guys wink
Aaand... Parn and Deedlit of Record of Lodoss War 3nodding
Of course, I adore Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter and Sirius Black mrgreen
Btw, has anyone read the books or seen the films?
Then again I loOove Eric Draven of The Crow...
Selene of Underworld is also one of my favourite characters.
And last but not least, Legolas and Aragorn xd
As you can see, most of them also have longer hair wink

Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter (..)Legolas and Aragorn Mostly characters I hate. razz From Vampires Chronicles I like Marius and Akasha, Lestat is the royal pain. Draco and Harry...I like Bellatrix and Lucius better...and Legolas and Aragorn - least like characters from Lord Oof the Rings. rofl Maybe some discussion why we like so different characters. Opinions about that? I assume you prefer long haired but well, I hope it's not the only reason.

Tear from Tales of the Abyss (if that counts as fantasy xD). She's so...I dunno. She's just so cool. And elf man from Valkyrie Profile II. I can't remember his name. xD Also Yohn from Suikoden Tactics. She's quiet, pretty, has a nice name, and possesses fantastic powers.
I go for the quiet, aloof types, you could say.

Kahinat Rackham I assume you prefer long haired but well, I hope it's not the only reason. Of course not^^ I love most of them because of their personality and character. Some also because of their looks, but this is absolutely not the most important fact smile It's just, that I was to tired to list all the reasons... Which may sound lame, but it's true 3nodding One could say, that my weakness is the character's background like family, friends, his/her past, experiences etc. Maybe that's due to my own tendency to analyze people's behaviour under the aspect of their social background, experiences and so on... Well, never mind whee I'm only trying to understand why somebody acts the way he or she actually does^^ The long hair thing is just... let's say a personal preference regarding someone's looks xd I'm quite fussy when it comes to these things about a person... sweatdrop How about you? What makes your favourite characters so adorable?

I like characters that are like me. ^^ Akasha is quite feminist, so I like her, because I am feminist. Hobbits from LoTR are so brave - I assume I am kinda brave or I want to be brave in some situations. Besides - I am lotsa like hobbits, especially Pippin and Sam.
I like to go into character skin and feel like him. Be him/her.

I think, lots of people sympathize with characters who own the attributes, they want to have... And of course, with characters who have similar attributes xd

well let me see... forgive my spelling errors:
I've been a fan of Legolas for quite some time, although Orlando Bloom does him no justice of character. Gandalf will always be my favorite wizard, although Dumbledore's a close second. I suppose all of the characters from the Lord of the Rings books deserve honorable mention. Especially Glorfindel, Liv Taylor stole his role and his horse, and Tom Bombadil. I was actually quite mad when he didn't make an appearance in the film.
As you can probably tell, I've gotten into Vampire Hunter D. For some reason he just appeals to me more than any character I have ever read. He's truly a mystery, from how on earth he got that parasite of his to his relationship with his father (of whom I'm a huge fan). I really wish that there wasn't a mix up with the shipping of the books translation to Angels, England every edition because the waiting for the second part of Journey to the North Sea is driving me crazy.
as mentioned I enjoy Dracula ^.~ in all facets and forms
I've tried to sift through my brains for more. I know their in there somewhere. I'll have to dig them out of the unorganized filing system of my memory

One of my favourites would deffinitly have to be drizzt Do'urden the dark elf ranger from many books by R.A Salvatore.I mean common he's a dark elf with dual scimitars and a magical black panther what's not to like?
