A slightly somber mood had enveloped the normally bright and cluelessly cheery stallion, azure irises focused on the soft dirt beneath his hooves rather than the dim sky and distant horizon. To say it was unusual for the young male to be so quiet and depressed was nothing short of an understatement- although having been on his own for some time had done nothing to help matters when he was such a social creature. He was craving company, and hated being alone.
Pausing a moment to sniff the air, he changed directions slightly, trudging along the worn dirt path towards a small river he knew to be nearby.

The mostly black and green mare sat in a tall patch of grass by the river as she looked down at her reflection in the water. Shadi saw the face of a grown up mare looking back at her. She shook her head lightly and splashed the water making the reflection disappeer. She didn't feel very grown up, but then again what is being grown up really.
Shadi didn't mind being by herself, she was used to it. Ever since she and her brothers had gotten older the family somewhat went their separate ways. The young mare only wish she had any idea what to do now, it was rather boring. Maybe she could try and make some friends other then her brothers like her mother advised her to do.
Shadi sigh as she laid in the tall grass lowering her head to take a sip of water from the river.
