She was... NGG... Stuck.
The fates had played a silly prank on the little filly, and she was not having any of it. It had been such a simple little task. Jump down a little breach in shrubbery, down the little hill she had spent Five! Whole! Minutes! to climb up so she could see how fun it would be to hobble down.
She hadn't been expecting a few very thick vines to have made their home after said shrubbery. Now normally, she would have listened to her father's choice words when she was a much smaller filly. She could imagine him beside her, telling her all the details of what to do, and what not to do, he was a great stallion, and wanted her to be safe in all her.. endeavours.
Look before you leap. Oh it was wise, back then. But what the heck do you do if you looked, lept, and then found yourself entrapped, and entangled in the worse mess of foliage you have ever seen in your (albeit, short) life? This question tormented her as she could almost hear her own voice, distant, ringing through her ears with the same question over and over again. With a mighty snot from her muzzle, she gave another push from the rock face, and attempted to make the ageless vines give away. She couldn't exactly chew through them; as her maw was.. unfamiliar to that sort of treatment. A bright green glow broke through the holes that parted the black fur around her muzzle area. Yeah. Defintally not going to be working that way.
"BLAST!" She yelled out suddenly, as she wriggled in the air, her metal guards (which, also, regretfully had absolutely no major use this time around wink clinked together, almost accompanying the outcry, glass on metal was such a loud sound sometimes.
Feeling rather tuckered out from the outburst, she slumped in her natural cradle, a long illuminated frown and six very unhappy eyes stared out into the unknown, almost begging for someone to help her. She did not wish to be stuck here for an eternity. Especially sundown. Dad hated when she was out past sundown.

Time. To. Get. AWAY!
The pale colt was restless and tired of sitting around while Dante and Meera enjoyed lounging about with mom and Glamrock. He couldn't help but roll his eyes and frown with a bored and distasteful display which had led him to stray away from them a bit further and into the area that just so happened to be not so familiar. His mind was plauged with the voice, that eerie, strange voice that brought chills and made him cringe while the little known knowledge of his true father haunted his dreams and caused him to be on the lookout for one such as he would would certainly kill the little colt and his family if discovered.
Yet the inner battle of light and dark, good against evil- that timeless battle, continued to rage onwards and, slowly, one would reign supreme over the other and control him.
Only time would tell.
But with a need to venture off by himself and to be alone, the pale colt flicked his ears and sighed softly as he meandered deeper into the uknown and farther away from his family and all known regions of safety.
Ezriel romped about as his spiked tail recklessly lashed behind him and his posture was one that was stiff and steadfast- trying to hold himself with dignified pride and stature as he burst through brush and thick foilage with a swipe of his head and tail. Rather than following a set path, he much rather create his own and, with the perfect equipment of spikes and horns, it made the job a lot easier. A flick of his tail, a jerk of his head and all of his problems due to vegetation and greenery were gone!
Flaring his nostrils as he bounded forwards with a small smirk, the colt pawed at the ground with a cloven hoof.
"Easy," he snorted.
But before he could continue, a sudden outburst suddenly erupted through the silence and caused his head to jerk upwards and muscles to tense just as a strange sound accompanied the cry.
"Whose there? What do you want!" He snarled slightly with a swagger of his tail, stepping forwards as his orbs of nothingness glanced around.
Where exactly was this thing that cried out?

Well, her desperate attempt at some attention, and maybe a way of getting down had worked somehow, she thought internally. But it had only proven to be a bit of a nuisance in the end.
Hanging over the pale white colt in such a dangerous situation, the vines that held her up almost had a synister like feeling to them, and she had started to subconsciously thought that they were much thinner than she anticipated. Not to mention, the colt that was now spooked under her, due to her complaining and calls for help.. had very very sharp spikes in more than one place. But she still desperately wanted to get down. She did not like hanging around so idly.
This would not do well.
As she swung idly with the wind, she pondered where she may have previously. He just seemed familiar, but it was then, and this was now, and she was sort of hanging over sheer doom. If she were to fall, that is. Heaving a great sigh when he became started, she decided she would answer his pleading questions. Maybe his.. weaponry could benefit her in the end. Or something.
"I'm up here, for one. Silly." She started, a light chidding voice to attempt to lighten the mood, "And last I checked, you're the first one to come down this path tonight since I got stuck up here." The statement was said in a more pleading, helpless way, than a harsher tone. She ddin't want to insult her only possible way out of here; and the fact that he looked so familiar only made her more curious about her new acquaintance.
Had it been anyone else, she would have probably started creekinga round and making ghost noises, to be a jerk and see if they'd be scared. But this was different, and she really just wanted to have grass under her hooves again.

A rather feminine voice answered back which certainly caught the pale colt off guard. Ezriel's nostrils flared slightly as he took another step forwards as he swayed his spiked devil tail with caution yet as she announced that she was 'up here', the colt blinked and glanced upwards with his voidless eyes of nothingness and ducked his head a bit lower with surprise and attempting not to skewer her with his adorning horns and spikes atop his head.
"What- ....oh!" He gave a small frown and knitted his brows as he simply looked up towards the strangely unique filly who had seemed to haphazardly find herself entangled and snared within unforgiving foilage and mess of vines which seemed to suspend her. He was certain that she, like many other foals, had attempted to jump and not look.
Ezriel was the same way.
There was a streak of rebellion yet a kindness and sense of protection and compassion that flowed through his veins yet he couldn't sit still- he wanted to venture off somehwere where he could be alone and where the haunting voice could be forgotten although that in itself was impossible. Ezriel wanted to be alone most of the time yet he did enjoy company although he did become hesitant because....well, he wasn't all too friendly looking. The rumors from is past unceasingly tormented his thoughts and ears, plauging his dreams along with the eerie voice that urged him to become like his father- a stallion whom he would pray to never meet and one who was never spoken of.
He was troubled, conflicted and uncertain.
Light and dark pulled at his heart and only brought him confusion.
Shaking his head, Ezriel focused upwards and blinked once, then twice. "I...I like walking down this path at night although it is a bit scary. My family doesn't like me wandering off alone but- sometimes I just need to," he admitted with a low voice.
Staring up towards the vines and foilage, the pale colt swayed his spiked devil tail and pursed his lips slightly. "What's your name?"

Well, atleast he wasn't deaf, she mused. Flickering her tail back and forth -- one of the only bodyparts not ensnared by this horrible binding, she watched him dawn on her presence, her frown breaking into a soft amused grin at the face he had made, before mellowing out into a content neutral position, the glow from her luretail flickering and bouncing off her metal and glass, and off his pelt.
Watching the sudden torrent of emotions, and the shake of his head, she decided to wait until he was back on their planet to further conversation, or well.. further her whining about being stuck dangling in midair. If this is what it meant to be flying, she was not going t have anything of it, thank you very much. This was enough for her; definitally for a life time. Three sets of eyes watched him curiously as he slowly returned to his senses, and the answer she got made her nod, almost forgetting that she was dangling helplessly; even for a moment.
"My father's none too keen about me being out so late; but he knows that he can't do much about me being such a freespirit, as long as i get home before the moon is at it's highest." she answered, truthfully. "I don't think I could be kept held down by family, as much as I love them. I'm too willful. Besides, he wanders off too much himself. I'd hate to be in a over-protective close knit family.. I think." Truth be told, she was rather happy with her bonds with her parents, however frail and far between they were at times. It made her appreciate them much more.
Hearing the query for her name, she rose her eyebrow line and looked down to him, before cracking a fresh smile and answering him sincerely. "My name? Sure. Talullah Kaimi. Usually called Tal or Kai, so feel free to take a shot at either. So what's your name? I keep thinking I've seen you before, or heard about you or something, so I'm curious..." she admitted, before realization dawned on her once more.
".. Oh hey, can you help me down, also?"

"My father doesn't know that my siblings or I even exist," Ezriel commented low, a reserved tone that could only could cause someone to become curious but attempt to not dive deep into ones own personal question and answer session. "He's a cruel stallion, a mutant, and we never speak of him- but at least my mother is kind and compasionate. She means well in making sure we're all okay and stay close to her and Glamrock but sometimes...I just need to get away and clear my head."
The mix of emotions and thoughts, sensations and ideas plauged his mind silently as he attempted to repress them within the deep confines of his mind and silence them. But as he continued to push them away, it became harder and harder to find room for all that accumulated within his conflicted mind. It was hard but Ezriel did his best but when it became too overwhelming he often ventured out alone and let his mind roam and be set free to clear his mind and his thoughts.
As the inner battle between light and dark continued to wage against one another and torment his soul with rapture and confusion, Ezriel was left to navigate through this dark and decieving world while watching his back for the stallion who, if he found him, would seek to take away his life with pure ease and unfathomable bliss.
Ezriels thoughts were getting the better of him once again.
The pale, ghostly colt shook his head and nodded his head as she gave her name.
"That's a long name but it's cool- I like it." He commented with a minute smile. "I'm Ezriel- you could have seen me wandering around or maybe you ran into my siblings; Meera or Dante." It was a possibility- moreso Dante since Meera kept close to their mother and Glamrock.
Yet he blinked once, then again, as she asked for him to help her get down and a slight sheepish smile crossed his maw. Glancing upwards, he nodded as his eyes narrowed to a mess of vines and thick foilage that was away from her body and held most of her weight.
"Brace yourself," he called out as he whipped his tail upwards as the spikes grazed easily through the entangled assortment of vines and foilage and made a clean cut. Quickly he took a few hasty steps back to stand from out of the way rathern than being flopped upon. There were still vines connected and supporting some of the weight yet, slowly, they began to untangle and snap with the main anchorage and support obliterated.
Ezriel stood there and watched.
Hopefully the fall wouldn't be too bad.

"Ooo~huuu, Dante!" she started, a knowing smile stretching her face as she nodded to herself, "I know Dante, atleast, I met him not too long ago, it makes sense now, you both have the sharp things." she finished that train of thought, a sincere chuckle emitting from her. "I guess your sister is Meera, then? I never got the name from Dante, it's nice to know the names of all three of you now."
When she finished her statement, her gaze lowered towards him once more, as she regarded him go through another internal trill, wondering if her statement had clicked within his mind. Unlike his brother, this one seemed very too himself - as if something inside of him was constantly bothering him. It almost made her think of her father, who's curse always bothered him at intervals. It made her pity the ghost white colt that stood before her, and almost wanted to make her say something kind, or whatever. But the words wouldn't come to her, she wasn't sure what to say in that regard...
Hearing him move towards her groundless prison snapped her out of her wonderment, that sharp pointy tail came out of no where and lashed around her midsection, making her gasp out of reaction. Although she had known it would come, the actual action still caught her off guard, and after a quick few seconds recooperation from the scare, her ears picked up on a new, foreign sound.
Snap, snap, snap. This wouldn't be too fun.
In a rush of a few seconds all the support buckled under her weight due to the loss of mass under her from the blow, and in one fell swoop, she fell the short distance in a flurry of limbs and sounds. She had honestly expected a much bumpier way down to the ground, but when it ended, she was flat on her stomach, legs spread out from under her and eyes shut. It only took her a few more seconds to realize she was on sweet, sweet ground once more.
"SWEET GRAVITY!" She yelped as she opened all her eyes once more, her lure tail springing to life behind her, flipping a couple of times showing her appreciation for the ground. "How I missed you ground, I swear we'll never part, or until I need to satiate myself with more of that airborne torture!" She couldn't lie to herself, she almost emjoyed part of that hanging thing. Well, now that she was on the ground once again, that is.
Quickly turning her head around the clearing for Ezriel, when she spot him a little to her left, her maw spread across her face in a wide grin, her appreciation almost glowing off her. "Thank you, Thank you Ezriel I thought I'd never get down from there.. but I think I'll lay here for a bit, I don't trust my legs quite yet.." she exclaimed, before lifting a hoof weakly, the sound of metal on grass only following, as she flopped it in the grass, where it rested rather nicely. "That was a wild ride."

Just before the vines and foilage had snapped and sent the young filly to the ground once again and reuniting with gravity, Ezriel's voidless eyes of simple nothingness seemed to widen. "You met Dante?"
His pale ears perked upwards as his spaded tail swayed behind him, a more relaxed expession upon his face. If Tal met him then Ezzie felt more relaxed and at ease moreso knowing that she knew his own brother- it was strange and such logic didn't seem to make sense but Ezriel seemed to intake a small breath and exhale as that gnashing emotion within the back of his mind was subdued for now at least.
With Tal now upon the ground and praising the ground with her own vow to never part from it, the ghost colt managed a small smile as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Don't mention it," he commented with a low, reserved tone as he simply stood there- watching and glancing towards the young filly.
At that moment his mind seemed anxious and curious to where Dante, Meer or his mother was. He had drifted so far away from them and continued to wander about although a part of him wanted to return there was something inside of him, something that coursed within his veins and caused a shiver to trail down his back with a knowledge that he couldn't return to them. That darkened, hallowed part of him that was cold and isolated wanted to roam about and make a name for himself- to redeem his family and to become someone who was unforgetable, strong and immovable.
But the inner conflictin pressed onwards and yet the true light within yearned so desperately to be with them again.
His mind was certainly conflicted and severed yet a part of him wanted to speak to someone, anyone about the pain he held inside of him and he needed someone who would listen.
"So, where did you see Dante? I...I need to find him and talk to him about something," he commented softly as he flicked his ears slightly hesitantly and pawed at the ground.
Would Dante listen? Would he understand?
Ezriel didn't know- but he needed to talk to someone.

"O-o'course I met Dante, I just said I did.." Hearing the sudden tone changes that her new acquaintance's voice had taken in, her eyes widened as she turned her head to regard him once more, a silent curiousity ringing in the back of her mind, wondering why it was suddenly so important to find Dante. Part of her wanted to ask the colt what had been wrong, and maybe try to assist; maybe even help find her friend once again for more conversation... (He was full of good conversation.) But deep down inside, she knew to hold her tongue for now, it was not the time for her to be snooping so openly.
Whirling her head in another direction, she pointed with her muzzle, the direction of the field in which she had only been away from for a day or two, that horrible place with those who whispered and vexxed. She would not be returning there for a few more days, whether her father wished for it, or not.
"Over yonder, through the thicket and up the hill towards where the mainlands are for families. The grazing field where the gossiping sheilas go to soak up the afternoon sun." She explained, as detailed as she remembered it, her six eyes fixing on him once more. "We had incidentally found the same little niche away from the prying eyes, and had a chitchat for awhile before we parted ways again; I don't think I recall where he was going after we parted, tho." The rest of the answer came out apologetically, before an ear twitched on the filly's head, almost as if remembering something.
"I'm sure he went to find you, or your momma unit, if I recall, you're not too fond of your father unit - so I doubt he left to be by his lonesome. That'd be stupid." Came the finish, her features fixed in curiousity and wonderment, now almost hoping the grey colt had made it back all right, seeing how his brother was reacting as if he hadn't seen him in years.

In following as she pointed in the direction of the fields and the rolling plains, Ezriel flicked his ears back slightly and furrowed his brows. There was something that urged him to find his brother, talki to him, or at least try to converse with him about things that surprisingly did worry him and of the things that tormented him and caused such rapture upon his heart and soul. Although a part of him truly wondered if his own brother would understand or be able to relate to him and again the white colt bit down upon his lower lip and flared his nostrils with a heavy sigh.
He shook his head along with his crimson mane and glanced again across the thickets and hills.
Ezriel knew those plains well.
Grazing, gossiping mares along with their own offspring who they had corrupted to think that individuals such as himself and even Tal were monsters, fiends and were better off dead (quite an extreme but they way they spoke to him were meager words doused with venom and great despise). Even the mere thought of the whispers and scorns that had plauged his ears caused him to grit his teeth and tense slightly. Ezriel hated it!
"Pft- I hate those mares up there," he replied with a disgust. "They think they're better than us just because we stand out. They're just jealous." His spaded-spiked tail swayed behind him as he perked up his ears slightly, his maw relaxing with a small, meager smile.
"Knowing Dante he's probably with Meera or somethin'...or with mom."
But something seemed to catch his attention, causing his voidless orbs to narrow towards the young filly. "I guess Dante told you about him? Yeah, I don't want anyone to run into him...people say that I look like him but I don't want to be anything like him but-"
It was hard to exactly speak of it; Reaper. He never liked speaking about his father and the internal battle that raged within but for the moment he repressed his emotions and shook his head as his mane whisped about.
"I won't let him hurt my family or anyone but that's easier said than done."
Even Ezriel didn't want to fathome what could happen but death was certain if they haphazardly stumbled upon 'daddy dearest'. A part of him wanted to fight him, to stand against his father and show his own siblings that he did care and wasn't as scary as most thought he was. Yet on the other hand, Ezriel wanted power, he wanted to rise in strength and be even greater than his father- no, wait. He didn't but he wanted to not be like him yet....that voice urged him to be like him and it seemed to not make sense.
He was confused- always confused and conflicted.
Biting on his lip and swaying his tail, Ezriel shrugged. "I don't want to be a casualty of his and I can't let him find me."

"Only in passing, I don't know the whole story, really. Just that he's a bad Soquili, as far as I can tell."
Although the conversation was constantly turning to darker tones, the filly could not help but keep such a serene smile on her maw, one that was nothing alike her usual maniacal grins she would plaster on whilst she was on a trill, or the concern filled frowns she'd display whilst wondering about others; this one showed to be from her heart. Wherever that was. With a flickering of her lure tail, the green glow bouncing off the grasses and illuminating the little area in which she was temporarily grounded. It took everything within her to keep her muzzle shut, she wanted to knoew more about this family, everything within their bloodline intregued her. It was amazing lore.
"That's very noble of you, Ez." She stated, a pet name for him, showing her content and affliction to the new friend, infront of her. "I'm sure Meera and Dante would be glad to know their brother is thinking so much about them. I only heard footnotes about your Father Unit, we have conflicting parental units, my father is always there for me, but my mother unit is scarce at times..." she trailed off, before displacing her gaze for a moment.
"I think it would be horrible to have to live my life around displacing myself from the presence of someone; too much of a hassle worrying. But then again, I guess being a freespirit, I'm not used to having so many problems. You seem to have everything set in a chaotic balance." she admitted, her voice softening into a strange reveer, unlike her normal excitement. "You may not believe me, but I think you're both very alike - Dante and you, that is. You worry about the future too much.. But I don't have much room to speak. I'm being bold right now. I guess."

"He's a murderer, a mutant and-" the words were hard to speak of, but the young colt pushed back his emotions as a distateful snarl curled at the corner of his maw. "And my father. He lusts for blood, prides in killing- and some say I will become like him, 'they' tell me I will and I must."
That voice, that haunting and chilling voice unceasingly plauged him night and day. He could feel its restless presence within his mind and his soul. Oh he he hated it! It made him seethe with such anger to think that some unseen force desperately sought for him to become the stallion his father was. He felt trapped- he needed someone or something to set him free and save him from this living nightmare that was bound to worsen as time progressed and withered away. He did not know when he would encounter his father but something at the back of his mind and wihtin the pit of his stomach only made him realize that someday he would and such a meeting was inevitable.
His words fell silent as he stood there, white ears fallen against his skull as he closed his eyes.
"But...I don't want to be like him- it's not what I want," he admitted with a low tone.
Yet his head seemed to lift upwards slightly as Tal gave him a compliment that made him blink once, then twice. "You think so? I...just try to do what's right I guess. But I don't think Meera or Dante realize it- I guess you can say I'm the 'rebel' of the family sort of but sometimes I think I scare them away because of how vastly similiar I look like my father." For a moment, he couldn't help but tilt his head slightly and purse his lips.
"You have parent issues too? Seems like I'm not the only one- most families 'round here try and make their life look damn-tastic. I think most of them are faking it; no ones perfect."
As she continued, Ezriel fell quiet and diverted his eyes elsewhere. Life itself had a balance and, as for Ezriel, there was no balance that he had found yet. He was still confused, still conflicted and found things to be unpredictable. He hated it and his life was nothing but chaos and lacked any aspect of balance what so ever. Yet as to he and Dante being similar, he shook his head and closed his eyes.
"Dante and I aren't the same- he...he has everything! And I'm the one whose cursed! I'm the one who has nothing- I fear for the future because-" it seemed that the question remained unanswered. Why did he fear it so much? He knew the answer but the words couldn't be spoken without a stumble and studder. "..Because I fear that the stallion my father is will be the stallion I become."
But he stopped himself and shook his head.
"You have room to speak, its only us here," he chuckled softly and gave a shrug of his shoulders.
"I'm just...I don't know. Unpredictable I guess."

Tal's muzzle could only screw up into a strange wonderment, listening to how the foal talked about the father that they despised so dearly. It wasn't that she did not get why they could hate such a Stallion, it was they felt as if there was never even a sliver of respect for the creature they called father. Something she, herself, could never do - to her, Jack was the epitome of everything wonderful. She was reminded of a statement that she and Dante agreed on, how children see their parents differently than others who were raised another way. To them, a father was a horrible thing, whilst to her, a father was support and care. Oh well.
It was about this time when she was abruptly introduced to what she assumed was a deeper part of her new acquaintance, as he asked her about her family, and suddenly turned the conversation towards his siblings once again. Taking a moment to drink in the words, she finally retorted with her second friend in this strange bloodline. "Honestly, I think everyone in this blasted valley has their issues, whereas be with their parental units, or with a friend or whatnot. We just have unique issues, I guess." She answered truthfully, an almost stoic reaction to the emotional outburst. She was a better listener than a co-conspire. Except when it was something dangerous.
"But I don't think Dante is as next to godliness as you appear to believe he is, Ez, he has his own problems he seems to be dealing with. He too fears for your father and worries about his future as much as you do." She then stated, her voice sharpening only slightly so; she hated seeing brothers thinking dully of the other, but she knew deep inside, also, that she could only do so little to the concrete ideas that others had. Wisdom came with living around Jack, she noticed.
"Can't do much about the probability of your father meeting up in the future, all I can think of is.. well. Good luck with that one?" She finished, wincing a bit physically as she hit a intellectual wall. She was sounding so smart too!
It had been awhile since her nasty little fall, and she felt her legs regaining their feeling finally. Moving a foreleg, the little change in position made everything feel just a little better, as her body shifted and moved into a much more.. softened position. Giving a soft sigh and a few moments, she used a great amount of energy to pull herself up, the sound of metal on glass ringing trhough the night once more as she steadied her still somewhat weak legs.
But she was up again!

His mind mulled silently as he could feel a sickly, heavy sensation churn within the pit of his stomach. For a moment Ezriel felt light headed, queasy and downright sick. So much seemed to topple upon his shoulders and he did his best to fight through it and be able to make it through another day but the struggle was not one of intelligence but for life. Those crimson brows of the colt furrowed as he nodded his head, that disasterous spaded-spiked tail hanging limp behind him.
"Everyone has some issues- secrets, demons and stuff they want to hide away but it doesn't mean they have to be so coarse and stupid about it," he replied with quite a low tone as he glanced down to his cloven hooves and the well-trodded grass. But his head seemed to rise as his brother was mentioned and the colt shook his head. "I know- and I don't think he's of godliness...he's just lucky and," the small colt wasn't sure what his words were trying to speak of and he frowned slightly.
He was getting confused. No- he was confusing himself!
Ezriel flared his nostrils slightly and stomped a cloven hoof into the ground, pawing at it subconciously. "Yeah- I guess."
For several moments the colt stood there silently as he took a deep breath and continued to stare at the ground. He was certainly confused and unsure of what to do or how to do it- or even where to start or begin. Where was this square one and how did he have to get there! Ezriel needed a map or some sort of instructions because he wasn't getting anywhere.
His posture slumped as his void-less orbs of blackest black glanced towards the filly.
"Maybe I should get going..."

At first she wanted to challenge the idea of him leaving, honest curiousity driving the filly to want to ask now and think later. But after a good moment of hard thinking, she decided that it would not be the best choice at the time. He just looked like everything became remarkably complicated for now, almost hearing the gears reeling back and forth within his head from her spot in the little clearing.
It would be best to just leave this night be for now, and come back to it again, maybe in the future if they ever met again. But considering the odds that not only had she met one in this bizarre little family, but two in what seemed like only a few days time, she felt that there was high hopes she'd have a future meeting them again. But it meant she'd be alone for the rest of the night, or until she was reunited with the other soul that she was bound to; her father's.
Giving a huge huff of air, she turned her attention fully to her new friend once more, and gave a curt nod, before attempting a soft air, a grin afflicting her maw, illluminating this dim, dark, night. "I suppose it would be best if we parted ways for tonight, the moon is remarkably high tonight, not a good sign, I'm sure I'll never hear the end of it." She stated, trying to show no sign of disappointment that such a night was done for now. "But, Ez - thanks again for helping me down, I thought I was a surefire goner up there. Be well, allright?" Was her finishing statement, before the night felt completely finished.
