Height: Tallish, but not overly so.
Weight: On the thin side.
Favorite Color: Dark colors.

Favorite Posession: Her stuffed kitty which she know keeps at home and her precious little Deimos.
Likes: Her stuffed kitty, darker places, her pet.
Dislikes: When it's too bright out, getting too hot.
Personality: Sarria's teen self is quite different from her child self. Once all semi-outgoing, kind to all, and apologetic for her guardian's cruelty, she has now partially lost all of those attributes. Although still a great deal nicer to others than Viktor, she has a sense of superiority that he worked quite hard to ingrain into her head.
Quieter than before, it isn't that she has taken all of her father's advice and stopped speaking to everyone else because they are beneath her, she is just beginning to show signs of her origin race who were more the silent observing type. For reason's even unknown to her, she'll go through what can only be called 'staring spells.' Her gaze becomes more intense and somewhat creepy at times while watching something/someone as if trying to look past what the eyes are limited to seeing.
Like a shadow, she's become quite the stealthly little ninja, popping up here and there in complete silence, listening in from dark corners of the room. Even if the others know she is there she will still observe and listen silently, seemingly plotting out plot like things.
Overall, she has become quite creepy and one wouldn't want her staring at them in the dark. She is much like some stalker in a dark alley way in the middle of the night...just watching...with her black eyes and glassy pupiless irises.

The temperature is unbearably hot, reaching well into temperatures that probably don't have a name or measurement known to humans. The reason for this is the four stars that serve as the planets 'suns.' The three larger ones are reddish-orange, and a third is blue. There is almost always at least three of them in the sky/in view leading to such high temperatures. By some weird phenomenon, Aridia does have night. It only lasts for about 13 hours and only occurs once every week. During this time the darkened portion of the surface becomes quite cold but remains somewhat warm from the heat that had seared itself into the ground. It never rains and there hasn't been a cloud spotted in its brightly lit sky.
Under the sandy surface is what really matters. Vast networks of caves and tunnels stretch deeper into the cooler parts of the planet. There are underwater rivers and streams, even seas. The source of the water is the planet's core where more strange happenings take place and on occasion it even rains inside the larger caves, which is usually just moisture dripping from the ceilings. If one who wasn't native to the planet was there, the best thing to do is forget anything you've ever learned as far as science goes.
Inside the underground networks is where Aridia's people make their homes. Buildings carved into the walls along the water's edge or deeper in the drier regions. No light seeps into the caves and the few entrances leading into the networks are often sealed to keep the light out.
The Aridians: Sometimes referred to as 'The Rayless' much to their dislike, this race prefers to never sees the light of day. Their eyes are meant for the black depths of their cities. They have no pupils and see with what could be considered 'night vision' in shades of blue. Heat also factors into this, somewhat, causing discomfort to them if they are in bright light/ extremely heated areas (such as the surface). Their clothing is usually plain and simple and color isn't all that important to them. It would just look like some form of blue anyway.
Their skin is extremely pale due to lack of light and often has somewhat of a greyish undertone keeping them from being completely devoid of any sort of color. Their hair is usually black, though one could occasionally run across one with grey or white hair. Aridians tend to be thin, allowing for easy access to parts of the caves that can only be reached through narrow corridors. Height tends to vary, however.
No strict class system is in place, though there are obvious differences between the social rankings. For example, the size of their home and the jobs they hold. Not many others know of them. There's no real place for other species and races to live, nor much to see other than sand. When foreigners do land on Aridia's surface, mysterious disappearances of the crew often lead to only short visits and native Aridians are hardly ever spotted, and in all honestly, you wouldn't want to find one.
Using their 'mind-control' abilities, they often stalk and abduct a few of whoever lands on their planet. Like spiders, they know when something has landed on the planet's surface and those with the job of 'gathering' slink up to the surface to fetch specimens. Pureblooded Aridians tend to be rather good at controlling the minds, more like making suggestions for their victim to follow. Those of unpure blood, such as Sarria since she's half of the origin planet would only have a minor hold over someone if concentrating.
Once they have enough of a certain type they bring them into the depths to their large observatories. Like an underground lab, it contains small rooms with their own ecosystems and the likes in which to house their latest finds. Artificial light to match the home planet of their new 'pet' is made, not to keep them comfortable, but to allow them to live.
These pets, once obtained are used for various things. Either kept for observation and study, made into slaves, or placed on their slave market. The slaves they choose to keep often fumble around blindly in the dark, trying to follow the orders they were given without falling down holes in the caves, bumping into stuff, hurting their 'masters,' and other near impossible things to avoid in the dark.
Their slave trading stretches throughout the surrounding galaxies and planets. They hide their ships in the dunes, and once they have enough, Aridians send out their traders and 'goods.'
When at the market, they are nothing more than shady looking robed figures, their hoods pulled over their heads and always looking down. This is how they got their nickname. Drunk traders in the various taverns came up with 'The Rayless' because they 'never let rays of suns touch them.' Their response to this is almost always, "..." followed by the rolling of their eyes and sighs.
While on the other planets they keep to themselves, staying in their small group and herding around their slaves. Aridians like to simply sell their stock and go, not idle around or partake in what the foreign planets have to offer.
