Alot of women wear make-up, but is it bad for your own mental image of yourself? Using make-up (atleast to me) seems like its a visual way of saying "Well I didn't think I was pretty before, so I bought all this powder and paint to make my face look more attractive to everyone else." So many of my friends use alot of make-up. Foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip liner, lipstick, lipgloss, blush, mascara, ect. There are so many different ways to completely change the way we look. I do use a little make-up but only eyeliner and mascara because I love my eyes.
Personnally I think that all women are beautiful already smile And shouldn't have to paint our faces just to look more attractive to men. Natural beauty is the best kind anyway.

The thing about make up, is it can add to a womans confidence. Many women find themselves to be horribly grotesque until their've painted a new face on themselves. Its pretty sad, but from my experience, it's more the woman trying to please herself, as opposed to her trying to please everyone else.
I agree that women are beautiful already. However, natural beauty where a girl doesn't feel the need to wear make up to be beautiful is horribly rare.

I agree, it may be a confidence issue which is really a shame. Sure it is. But there really isn't anything we can do or say about it. Most of these women, just have become so used to not having that confidence, that they probobly don't NEED to put it on, but they just do as part of their routine.

um tend to change my appearance a lot so i can go from wearing no make up at all to the whole deal, foundation, powder, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipliner, lip gloss... in the span of a week. i personally just don't care what people think about what i'm wearing or not wearing.
but for a lot of people make up is a little confidence booster. and let's face it, everyone gets a little embarrassed if they have a pimple or something. why not let them use a little cover-up so they won't be thinking about it all day?
also, does anyone think that make-up on little kids is kinda wrong? like, i've seen 11 year-old girls wearing as much make-up as i do sometimes and it makes me a little freaked out. why does an 11 year-old need eyeshadow??? i didn't wear make up on a regular basis until i was like.. 13 or 14.

Wow, 11 is really young. I'm surprised her mom lets her wear it. It seems like more young girls are trying to look sexy, every time I go out I see these really little girls wearing shirts that show off their stomach.

I don't think that these girls wearing make up and revealing clothing means they are trying to be sexy. THey are trying to act more like a woman though they are lost on what a real woman is exactly. They wer make up because they think that all woman do. Girls played with dolls in an attemp to fake raise a child. They do this to be more like their mother. As they get older they will copy women they see every day in magazines and on TV. Now girls are are trying to grow up at an age that is deceasing. THey are trying to be like young women. I don't think it is right because their idea of a women is wrong.

i've been wearing makeup regularly since i was about 10, but i was split between the sixth and seventh grades at that age. the only makeup i've ever worn is mascara and eyeliner; occasionally i'll apply lip gloss. my lips are pretty full already, and they're fine on their own. my eyes are probably my favorite feature, so i like to draw more attention to them.

I wear makeup almost every day, but not because I think it will attract men, I do it because I think its fun. Its like an art form, and another way of expressing myself. In fact, most of the guys I know ask me to stop wearing makeup because they think I'd be prettier without it.

i like wearing make-up for me. I don't wear it for anyone else. I wear it because I like th feeling it feels on me. I usually don't wear a lot, just eye liner mascara, foundation, and lip balm. But I hate it when some girls put it on so they would look "pretty" and to impress boys, wouldn't guys like girls if they were just themselves?

I'm not trying to say that all girls wear make-up to impress boys, but a few I know do. It might just be a confidence issue for them though. I knew one girl who intentionally would wear alot of make-up because she liked a boy, and because she thought it made her look better, it really didn't though.

I really don''t care. The way a lady chooses to present herself is none of my business.
