With the promise of a grand adventure ahead of her she had followed after the stallion, determined to find out just what it was about him that, as he said, 'attracted trouble'. She wanted to have a collection of stories of her own to tell before going home; things that would make her mother laugh and smile... And not worry. The last thing she wanted was for her mother to worry about her.
At least she would only be getting into the good sort of trouble and not the bad sort...

He was rather bereft of the lack of trouble wandering about lately. Either things had quieted down thanks to the heat of summer or the 'trouble' had wandered off into it's own corner of the world to cause problems for itself.
It didn't make for good demonstrations for the mare that was following him at any rate. Shaking some of the dust off himself he stopped and looked around. There had to be -something- around here.

She nearly ran into him when he stopped, not realizing that he'd done so until it was almost too late. She stumbled back, a sheepish look crossing her face as she turned to look at him. "Sorry... I must have let my mind wander. It's such a quiet day, isn't it?"

"Yea .... s'not any fun." He scrunched his nose as he scanned the landscape. It was just grass, dirt, and more grass as far as he could see.
"Kinda like everyone's on vacation or somethin."

"... Maybe the problem is that we're looking for trouble. Didn't you usually say that it finds you? Maybe we just... Need to find something else to do until trouble shows up." It made sense... In theory.

"Generally it works both ways." He laughed before he trotted in the direction he thought he smelt water. He could do with a bath and if there was water there should be grass and grass meant a good lunch with a bath!
"Some times ah go lookin for trouble and i find it and some more finds me while i'm already in trouble."

She scrambled for a moment before trotting after him, giving her head a light toss. "Well... What else do you do when you're not looking for trouble... Or when trouble hasn't found you? There has to be something." She was never going to find any excitement this way.

"Usually? I go home and watch my brothers pick on each other." He was a nice hobby if you asked him. Dodger and Wylie did have the most interesting fights about nothing he'd ever seen.
"Usually don't have this much trouble findin trouble. Must be you" He grinned at her over his shoulder.

She snorted softly, giving her head a light toss before sticking her tongue out at the stallion. "I suppose I could always go wander off and try to find some trouble of my own... But then you'd be bored and by yourself with nothing to do but... Watch your brother's pick on each other? Oh dear. Do they do that often? Mother always told my brother and I that we were supposed to watch out for one another... Not pick on each other."

"you wouldn't believe." He shook his head at the though of his brothers. "Dode and Wylie go at it every time they cross paths. No one knows why neither."
He doubted they knew why either. "Ya wouldn leave me all alone. Ya'd come back cause ya might miss tha fun."

"That's... Terrible." Her brow furrowed slightly as she shook her head. She couldn't imagine ever fighting with her brother all of the time. Sure, they had little disagreements; Trev didn't believe in the Spirits the way she and Mother did... But they didn't fight.
A slight smirk curved her lips as she trotted closer to him, giving his shoulder a nudge with her nose before pulling ahead. "I might... And what fun? We haven't had any fun yet." She teased.

"That's what tha rest o the family says too. Don't stop'em." Everyone still said they'd grow out of it but he doubted that. They seemed like they were going to be at odds forever.
"Maybe you jus don't know how ta have fun. Cause i've been havin it." running was never anything but fun in his books.

"... I know how to have fun." She huffed, giving her head a toss that sent tiny braids flickering against her neck. "I have fun all the time... Maybe your just not used to having fun with someone else... Spend too much time having fun by yourself?" Her brow lofted as she turned to look over her shoulder at him.

"You deaf? Pretty sure ah said ah was havin fun." He knew he had cause he was. She was the one who had said she wasn't having fun yet. Or at least she'd implied it well enough by saying they hadn't had any yet.

"No, I'm not 'deaf'." She snorted softly before lowering her gaze to the ground. She was bad at this whole 'banter' thing... Really bad at it, she realized as a slight frown tugged the corners of her mouth downwards.
