Kohana slowly strolled the dense path of the forest. She steadily made her way around the bank of the glittering lake. The summer sun shone freely on the surface of the water, dancing on the ripples. After a healthy breakfast of some melons, Kohana had set out for the mighty falls. It'd been too long since she'd witnessed the natural beauty of the thundering waters, or felt the cool mist brush up against her feathers.
As she wandered further away from the lake, the boundful trees began to block out more and more of the sun's rays. The sound of the plundering water began to get louder, blocking out all other sounds; the chirping of birds, the scurry of mice, and the songs of the bugs. Soon, the path began to incline and turn to stone. Kohana proceeded carefully, not wanting to loose her footing on the slippery rocks.
Finally, finally, she reached the falls. The elegant, yet powerful falls. The water poured over the top of the rocks, not letting them stop its journey to the lake.
"Beautiful."
