The cream male hadn't left the pride and had met with that lovely female several times since his initial meeting. They were getting on so well and he couldn't help but look for her again. She was beautiful and so playful. He still wanted to whisk her away and create a pride of their own but he wasn't really one to do so.
He was near the edge of the pride, he knew she hunted near the borders for the pride occasionally so he hoped that she would be there today, after all where else would he find his blue eyes beauty.

Well he had blue eyes, and he was a pretty handsome lion, but Ewansiha wasn't Chipo's girl by a long shot. Like the other male though, he was hanging around the borders looking for someone. Ever since he'd split up with his mother Rahima, he'd been on the search for his lost sister Jina. Since he'd reached the Pridelands, he'd ask and look here for a day or two. He'd already looked in the graveyard carefully.
Armed with hope and his mother's description of a cub - who'd now be fully grown - all he could do was ask and wander. He still couldn't believe he had another older sister...and this one he could find.

Chipo noticed the male and well there was no harm in asking him whether he had seen the girl that would always brighten up his day. He shook his large mane and trotted over towards the male.
"Excuse me there, you haven't seen a white female around have you? She has few peach markings and beautiful blue eyes." It was the best he could do for a description right now. He wasn't very descriptive anyway.
"Oh I am Chipo by the way, nice to meet you..."

"Hey, I'm Ewan. Nice to meet you" He greeted the other male pleasantly, and tried to think if he'd seen such a lioness so far. "I'm afraid I haven't seen her."
Gold, green, yellow, black, white, brown, blue, red - females in this pride came in all colours from what he'd seen meandering around the edges of it. But he couldn't recall seeing one like the one this Chipo was asking for. Still, he could ask in turn...
"Have you seen a black female around, with pink down her back and under her eyes, please? She's my sister."

"Nice to meet you Ewan." It was nice to meet him, after all he hadn't met anyone in days and would at least enjoy the company. After all strange lands meant a lot of strange lions and this one didn't seem as relaxed as some of the others he had seen so assumed he was rogue such as Chipo was.
"I am sorry I have seen many lions but I do not recall one looking like that. I do hope you find your sister though." He was speaking honestly, he hoped that he would find his sister and he himself hoped to find the girl he was looking for. He had been so sure she would be around here as well. Shame.

"As I wish you luck in your search." He smiled and sat down, tail tip twitching. Hoping the other lion didn't think he rude, he took a few moments to gaze around them, as if just by wishing for them to appear, the two girls would appear. Ewan smiled wider at the silly little thought. Such a cubbish notion.
"Is she a relative of yours, friend or lover? Just out of curiousity.

He had not guessed by Chipo's description?
He let out a small laugh, after all how would he answer? He adored the girl he probably even loved her but they weren't mates, or were they? He wasn't sure.
"She is a very close friend."
That seemed to be the best way of putting it. She was a very close friend, one he loved dearly.

With a vaguely guilty thought of Dumu - and looking around again to give no hint to it - he considered the male. Very handsome. Gorgeous golds. Seemed pleasant enough. If this 'very close friend' was more, she was probably a lucky girl. No harm in looking after all, Ewan reasoned. Besides, he looked like he was happy with his lass.
"Well, I'm going to be around for a couple of days. If I see her - if you share her name - I could let her know you're looking for her if you want"

"Mchengo, her name is Mchengo." A perfect name for her. She was so childish and beautiful and...
He shook her from his thoughts, after all he couldn't think about her while trying to make conversation, things wouldn't work out that well.
"So erm, do you live around here or....?" He might as well ask. If the male did live around here it would mean he could get some information out of him. He didn't understand this pride in the slightest so it made sense to try and find some more information about it!

"No, I'm a rogue. I just wandered here looking for Jinamizi - my sister that is."
He turned his shaggy-maned head round to look at the other male. He'd assumed that he was a Pridelander. He looked like some of them did, a bit. Ewan hadn't even thought to scent him to see if 'pride' clung to his fur and wasn't going to. This morning there was no breeze and you don't just sniff random strangers close to, cute or not.
"You're a rogue too?"

Chipo nodded, "Yeah I am a rogue too though I have been staying here for a while. Mchengo keeps me here. I only came to pass through but having met her, things changed I suppose." He thought about that meeting and how odd it had been and then just smiled. He was glad he had met her.
"So do you live anywhere? Or just wander all your life? I use to live in a pride but it was custom to chuck males out once they could look after themselves." Something that seemed odd to everyone else it seemed.

"Ah, a traditional pride! I wanted to start one myself but...things went wrong. No prides do that around here. And yes, I just wander. See the world."
Of course, Ewan had meant to put a loving spin on a traditional pride, but ah well. That dream was so old and had failed so badly, it was odd to recall it.
"Is your old pride far away?"

He was a little surprised to hear that Ewan had heard of his type of pride before. It seemed very few lions did and it had confused him somewhat.
"You wanted to start one, why didn't you?" Seemed odd not to You just steal a few females and breed with them and there you have it, your own pride. Seemed to make sense to Chipo so why hadn't Ewan just gone ahead with it?
"My pride is a long way away. I miss it sometimes, my mother and sisters. I was the only male in my litter so I left with a cousin who decided he wanted a pride of his own. Left me and I have ended up here somehow." Well that was pretty much how it had happened.

"Brought up differently. Won't force anyone, and most females I've met have a partner. Around here, there's so many males that they all can have their own to love - and females don't like sharing - it's probably because they're allowed to stay in their prides."
"Besides, I can't grudge them their loves, you know?"

It confused Chipo slightly the way that this lion seemed to think it was all to do with love. Granted he probably loved Mchengo but that wouldn't be the point in the pride. She would have been the head female and he would have just mated with the others anyway, thats just how things work.
Such strange lions.
"I see." It was the only response he could really think of. Wow they were odd around here.
