A family with an ancient curse...
And the girl who will change their lives forever...
Tohru Honda was an orphan with no place to go until the mysterious Sohma family offered her a place to call home. Now her ordinary high school life is turned upside down as she's introduced to the Sohma's world of magical curses and family secrets.
That's the description that's on the back of the manga. Her's a summary of the story:
Tohru Honda has been living with her grandfather since her mother died, but soon their grandpa's house needed renervations for more family members that were coming into the house so Tohru had to live somewhere else for while. She didn't want to trouble anyone, so she stayed in the forest, living in a tent. While walking to school one day, she finds a mysterious house in the middle of the forest and encounters Yuki Sohma, the prince of her high school, and his cousin, Shigure Sohma. But that same day, the Sohmas find out where Tohru is living and invite her to live with them. Then Kyo Sohma shows up, wanting to fight Yuki since they've had a grudge against eachother for the longest time for some unknown reason. But she soon realizes that the Sohmas have a terrible secret. They are under a curse that makes certain members of the family turn into the 12 animals of the zodiac, plus the cat. Things only get rougher from there.

Well atleast you've read the book ^^ The anime's a bit out of order when it comes to how it follows the book, but it's still pretty darn close XP I know they have epis on Youtube. and they're selling dvds and boxsets of Furuba all over the place so...

I own the DVD box set and have vol 1-8 &10 of the manga. I luffles Furuba so much X3 I love all of the characters (Cept for Akito ><) and the story is really really really good.... and I <3 Kyonkichi X3

Hell no, my books do not leave my room, unless I trust you with every ounce of my being, which I do not. ninja They will remain there, for my reading pleasure, and no one elses, unless I trust them, like Nick. ninja

Hahaha. Sounds like me with all of my manga. Then again people stole my manga when I loaned it out to people... and my box set of Fruits Basket almost had the same fate. crying atleast I got it back... after like 4 months...

Not having my box set for 6 months, killed my soul. @_@ I let a friend borrow it, then his sister let HER friend borrow it, took me forever to get it back. crying I have it now, and it's not going anywhere. mrgreen Must get Volume 17. eek
