Freya was not one to enjoy the cold, and the cold always seemed to lurk about while she was out and by her little lonesome, Ba'kru, her tag-a-long seeming to have ran off elsewhere to lurk and enjoy whatever cute being he discovered to flirt it up with. She couldn't help but roll her eyes internally. Ba'kru was a male, though, so she couldn't blame him for running off elsewhere to find himself some action when she herself denied him it.
A breeze blew by, ruffling her dark and spotted fur, causing her to shiver a tiny bit, before she drew herself out from under her tree, her golden tail twitching from side to side in a sort of natural way that it always did when she walked, pacing from the shade of the tree and out into the golden grasses.
She paused part of the walk into the grass to lift up her own golden paw and compare the shades of it. "Mine's prettier~" she thought in as -modest- a way the lovely feline could muster, rather pleased with her own beauty. Once she'd made the decree to herself she started off out into the grass again, pondering to herself where the nearest body of water could be...
it would be a nice place to go and admire herself, perhaps find herself a playmate to get back at that baby-hungry leopard she kept for company.

Dark ears flickered at the sound ofa voice; however,he coudn't make out what it said. however, he could tell it was female, a male would have been gruffer(unless.. y'know. gay. Or girly. ), and even more jumbled up.
The cheetah shifted slightly to a better position, ears quirked in the direction the sound had come from, bright green eyes scanning the grasses. There was no voice anymore, but he could soon enough hear the grass rustle. Light steps. Hm. A female-- maybe not a lion. They were usually heavy, though he'd seen some exceptions. However, he knew it was female.
Makani smiled; this mean he could have some fun after all.
He hadn't planned to do anything today, really. He'd just been lying in the grass, resting after a near-escape from a grumpy hyena, that'd came to steal his kill. Lazy.. Ugly beasts.
The male's tail twitched, and he rose to his paws, and moved, casually in the direction where he thought she'd be, which was now quite obvious, since the grass wasn't all that high. Perhaps it reached his chest. He'd been right, a red and gold female cheetah-- rather nice on the eyes, mind you, moving through it as well.
He smiled, pretending to have only just noticed her, and moved over. "Hello there! "

Ears twitching and turning towards the sound of moving, Freya discreetly glanced over one shoulder, shrugging the shoulder she looked over a bit for a sort of flirtatious glance as she turned her attention away, pondering for a moment what sort of beast her new stalker was to be.
Well, she would soon find out upon being greeted, and rather hardily, by the being. Why, if it wasn't another of her own kind. Indeed a nice catch for her to play with a bit.
Giggling a bit, she bit her tongue slightly, in a sort of adorable manner, sliding about one step away from him; a graceful motion made by stepping away with one of her front paws and sort of using it to slide the rest of her mass over, the other paw coming to rest in a sort of overly acted 'pose' next to the other, before she fluttered her eyes at the male. "Oh!" she spoke, feigning surprise at his sudden appearance, which would have been the case with his rather fetching coloration had she not peeked prior to his move. "Why, have I wandered into your territory, sir~?" she inquired, not quite returning his greeting, but doing so well to try and make a tone of 'Oooooh, I might be in troooouuuuble' in her voice.
Her mother had trained her -well-, she'd decided. Though part of her winced internally. -Why- did she always do that?

Hm. This was new. About flirting, he usually knew what was what, but this was a female. Sometimes their ways were strange. But he did remember Dunia; sometimes females liked to play too. Though, either way, this didn't have to necessarily change his way of playing the game.
"You have not, and even if this was my territory, I'd be rather pleased of having someone like you in it. " He curled his tail, amused, and took a small step closer, but still allowing her any space she might want. "You are quite a nice sight if I may add. May I inquire as to your name, miss? I am Makani. " He bowed slightly, folding his ears back and stepping one paw a bit further ahead, before standing again.

The counter-flirt, as subtle as it was, was definitely pleasing to Freya. A smile sort of painted itself onto her face before she sort of shifted back into the 'I have no personal bubble' state and siddling over to sit closer to him. It was almost invasive. Almost.
"Oooooh. Is it really~?" she chimed back in as peppy a tone she could muster, almost enough to sound overly 'preppy', had she been a human female in high school. The very kind most would stab in the face. The introduction, and all precursor words to it were listened to mildly, almost half-assed.
But at least she was nice enough to show -some- degree of caring.
"Ma-ka-ni~. That's a nice name~" she want on, though in less of a 'super prep!' tone and taking a more mature take to it. Freya didn't want to sound like a little girl the -entire- conversation. Not everybody liked little girls (hell.. -she- didn't like little girls. Unless she ever had a daughter. Oooh, that actually sounded nice. But on that same thought, wasn't worht it..) so playing various forms of 'maturity' was part of her ploy.
Tapping her golden paw against her lower-jaw thoughtfully, she repeated "Name, name~ Should I? Should I not~?" she mused, fakely-enough to imply she was kidding before going on, "Well, I'd say that I'm obligated now that you've given me yours."
Smoothing her fur with the same paw, she sat proudly and in an attempt to look as dignified as possible. "Looks like your in luck with that one and get to hear my name, for many others I wouldn't tell such a lovely thing. It's Freya." The same name as the goddess of love, lust, beauty, and many other things in Norse Mythology.

So today there would be a game. Now there was no doubt of it.
While she thought, he couldn't help but let his eyes flicker over the female a bit; dark red, white and gold. Gold was quite a new one, he didn't usually see that. Though, the combo was pretty nice.
"If I am lucky for learning your name, then what am I for having spotted you? " He quirked a brow for a moment at the way she acted, it was amusing. However, he quickly made it align with the other, just so she didn't wonder why he quirked his brow.

It was a no-brainer in response to that question, to which she quickly answered; "Blessed. Very blessed. Often my little tag-a-long would get jealous and try to chase you off..." she explained, lifting a paw to sort of brush it over the fur on his chest and up his neck to his chin, almost in a sort of admiration.
"Yes, he'd be very jealous of you, I'd think." she said thoughtfully, smiling to herself, but overall pleased by the appearance of her playmate of the hour, two hours, or however much time they'd get for bantering about between the two of them. But she didn't say more on that topic, instead switching to another one that was much more fun to talk about.
Leaning over to sort of bump her nose to his, though she got close enough to, but didn't actually make the contact, she again smiled, before leaning away. "What would bring yourself out to the middle of nowhere to meet lil' ol' me, might I wonder?" she mulled the words in a poetic fashion, settling on the 'mature poet of flirty doom' for today's character, before going on. "Fate, the wind, a bad hunt that got you lost, or just the sound of instinct in your head drawing you over? Which would it be~?" she inquired, seeming genuinely interested.

Well. This one was very different. He didn't, however, dislike the contact, though having a paw at his chin was kind of weird. Instead, he smiled, that was the smartest thing to do. However, when she mentioned a companion, for a moment in his mind, Makani considered the fact she had a 'mate'. Even though he usually flirted anyways, sometimes it was wise not to. But the way she acted.. He doubted it. Especially since she referred to him as a 'tag-a-long'.
Envious of him, however, he could understand. Makani liked being himself. "The wind blew me your way. " Yeah, like a story of being chased off by a hyena was that nice a thing to tell a female. Besides, hi name meant wind, right? He usually used that as an opportunity.
"And yourself, were you waiting to catch a males attention, and not let him think of anything else? " He wouldn't, of course, only think about her, later on. See, Makani didn't really fall in love.

"Catch their attention~? I'd say that if I was fishing, yes. But you see, I'm a little thief and would have stolen it away no matter what~" she explained, standing to pace through the grass, but doing a sort of 'mid air-jump-turn' thing to turn her to face back towards him, her chest low against the ground, but her bum stuck up in the air as her tail whipped back and forth in a sort of invitation to play.
Meant in which every innocent way anybody could. Or non-innocent. It was all the same to her. "But think only of me would be a bit of wishful thinking. Think only of me, think of the one they love that they can see in me, or think of themself. I care not who they think of, as long as I own their attention."
It was a bit of a bratty statement, but Freya wouldn't say she wanted all their thoughts and desires to be on her. While she couldn't read the other's thoughts, she wasn't the kind to make a male want her enough to follow her off.
She couldn't handle commitment. Now an open-relationship where they're 'together' but not only 'with' each other would be different in her eyes. She didn't care to test those waters yet, however.
"Though I guess the way you word it works too, Wind-chased-Makani~"

Think good, think bad, but think of me. Makani thought to himself. That was an easy way to sum up this female. It looks like she just craved attention. When she crouched, he crouched as well, but more into a 'stalk' position, rather than pounce, like Freya had moved into.
"I can only imagine how successful a thief you are. " He smirked, twitching his tail-tip slightly. "Attention isn't hard to obtain, especially for someone such as yourself. Your fur.. stands out. " While mine blends in with the scenery. Though, it wasn't that bad. Hyenas missed him sometimes! And lions too.

Oooooh, dangerous~. She smiled a bit at him, the same sort of grin one would give for the 'Oooooh, so that's the game we're playing' realization. Freya wiggled her bum in the air a bit, before crouching her whole body against the ground, ready to spring into a bit of a chase if that was the decided move.
But she couldn't read minds, so she really had no idea.
"Mmm, I'd say I've got a talent for it~" she preened, pleased by the compliment she received, Freya being one whom was easily swayed by such lovely words (but only to an extent.). "Many notice me, though I must say not always is the attention that pleasing to me. Especially that of the young ones whom are no fun to chat with."
Both of her eyebrows lifted a bit as she said this, a silent 'You -know- what I mean, right?'.

Makani blinked in amusement, tail-tip curling slightly. "Ah, young ones. " He snorted. "Indeed, no fun at all; too many questions. Delusional jackals aren't that great either. " The male rolled his eyes. He was quite sure Chaka was the most annoying creature he'd ever met. A lion? Puh. What was so great about them anyway? He didn't quite see -why- a jackal would want to be one. Well, okay. Maybe a jackal. He guessed it wasn't so great to be one. Still. She had actually believed she was a lion.
He circled around Freya, if only to keep the game going. Of course he didn't intend to pounce her; they never appreciated that. And it was usually kind of weird to do so anyway. Though, a game seemed nice, he had energy this time. The hyena had started him up; now he was ready to run.
He stopped movement, preparing his legs beneath him; if she took that as a start, then he'd be sure to follow.

Had Freya not known better, she would have accused this one of being her brother or of some sort. However, she was rather pleased that he -wasn't-, thus would make a nice playmate for the time being.
Siblings didn't make for fun 'playmates' in her eyes. They were always telling on you and it wasn't acceptable to play her kind of games with. Freakin' Morals always gettin' in the way. Same way kids were as well.
"Delusional Jackals?" she leaned back on her legs a bit as she made her inquiry, now sure she really wanted to know, so she waved her golden-tipped paw. "Oh, nevermind that...Probably something strange that would make me think a bit."
There was a good wait that followed this, before she suddenly sprung up, bounding out a few yards in the grass, pausing to look back over one shoulder to see if he was following along with her or not.

He partially didn't want to explain the dumb jackal to Freya; it'd be too weird a conversation. So when she said nevermind, he was slightly relieved. But he'd kept his attention on Freya, ready for her. When she paused, he remained waiting, but even then, when she finally did move, his paws hesitated a bit before he shot out after her.
Of course, he didn't try to run that fantastic speed cheetah were known for; it'd be dumb to overheat himself in vain, instead, he kept with the game, leaping high and covering the ground out of fun, just once or twice. another thing he loved about being a cheetah; they jumped so high, sometimes it felt almost like flying, especially if it was done while running.
But after the second, he kept to the ground, and sped up a bit, attempting to close the space between him and Freya, until finally he pulled up beside her. "So after running away, what did you plan on doing? " He winked, he knew her plan hadn't been to run away.

There was a mixture of 'I knew that was coming' with 'Osnapzwhen'dyougetoverthere' in the slightly jumpy response from Freya upon being snuck up behind, followed by a bit of a laugh and a grin. Leaning against his side, she looked up at him with her best little 'innocent' expression. "Ooooh... I don't know. It's not as if I have anywhere wonderful to run off to~" she teased, flicking her tongue playfully at him before standing to walk a few feet from him, rubbing her body flirtatiously against his side as she did so.
"Besides, it doesn't seem as though you would have let me run off to that..." she paused and in the most histrionic way she could, complete with the back-of-a-paw to the forehead sighed, "-horrid- place I just came from, the company there included." this was followed with a wink.
Ohhh, how she enjoyed playing her game, her last 'playmate' being so little and old-fashioned and not appreciating it in any shape or form. Truely, she did have to hope that little boy grew up a little bit and found himself a nice old-fashioned girl, though.
Despite the amusement she found in such things.
However, she kept this little interlude of her thoughts to herself, instead slinking back to Makani to throw her body down at his paws, sprawling out as much as she was willing to at that time. "But I'm sure you're much happier I stayed, mmm~?"
