This is an rp loosely based on naruto. By loosely, I mean, some of the same ideas and principles, but no sasuke running around. I feel this board needs a good ninja rp, and I hope to bring it with this. I warn you, there may be a bit of reading involved, but I feel that it will be worth it. This is a good, structured rp, not something just thrown together because I think ninjas are cool or something. So, without further introduction, I bring you the rp.

wahmbulance As of 9-17-07, this rp will be no more. I will close this, for various reasons. Do not despair, this isn't the end completely. I just need a little time off, then I will return with a timeskip, as the new rp. This weekend, I will finish the story with the beast, and set the stage for the next rp. When the next one will come out, I don't know right now, but rest assured it will, and it will be better. Thank you to everyone who participated. Story:

The cobbled streets are lined with blood, as weapons stream through the air, gleaming in the sunlight cast over the cold battlefield. People die within seconds, death taking no discrimination again warrior of civilian. This is a time of great turmoil, a time that will challenge the well being of the current nations, and shape the villages to come. Day after day, the screams can be heard of many, those falling to the debts of battle, unable to feed it’s hunger. More and more are lost each day, with no end in sight for those who want and favor peace. Those who can even throw a weapon are being sent out to fight, only to be cut down in the splendor of battle. There was once a time when things were, in fact, peaceful, but that time has long since passed, being forgotten and trampled underneath the weight and sorrows of battle. That time is nothing more than a distant memory.

Now is a time of war.

This only came about as a product of a changing time in culture, and politics. There was a first period of revelation, which planted the first seeds of war in the hearts of the villages. As many things do, the seeds of war stem out of the hearts of the Kage of the villages. Things were changing in the mindsets of the villagers, and nations as a whole. The Kage was losing it’s power upon villages, becoming more of a figure head than a leader, used only to showoff and sign papers. The position wasn’t even as coveted as it had been in the past years, Kage only being chosen based on their nationwide renown. The Kage were becoming living propaganda in a sense, and were beginning to even see battle in times other than nation wide crisis, a startling trend emerging. Despite this, the Kage was still the Kage, and was still very important to the village’s moral level, among other things. They still led the villages, at least, for now.

A tradition of sorts was emerging, a treaty signing held every few years, to hold together a fragile peace that was established between villages. This peace was only meant to ensure that the Chunin exams could be held every year, without fear of being attacked during the exams. Weeks before said exams every few years, the treaty would be signed by the Kage of the villages. This gathering was heavily guarded, as the intensity of the peace talks increased every year. Several traps were put in, to deter anyone from even venturing near the area during the talks. No one knew how long these talks would last, or what would come of these negotiations with the other Kage, representing villages respectively. Secure from the outside, no one expected a threat from the inside to arise.

At the talks, the LitelKage, the Kage of the nation of lighting, posed several questions to the others, demanding to equal up the number of military between the nations, lest one nation gain the upper hand, in this case, The land of Earth. Other Kage were resentful of these marks, bringing about criticism on the nation of lighting, which had it’s military force at the smallest number. The tension reached a fever pitch, and it was revealed that a treaty had been made between the Lands of Fire and Lightning, a deal that gave an open border between the two lands, in exchange for complete control of the military forces of the land of Fire to the LitelKage. The other nations were out raged, as this deal gave the LitelKage complete control of the majority forces of the area, whilst allowing the two to connect, making a larger super nation. It was then revealed that the LitelKage had been doing just that , joining the nations together. As a result of gaining control of the military forces, the LitelKage Became the Kage of the new nation. As expected, the FonreKage, Kage of the land of Fire, revolted.

The LitelKage was one step ahead. Due to control of a majority of the military forces, the LitelKage had instructed the guards he now controlled to take out the other guards, then move into the room where the talks were being held. As if by luck, the guards of the LitelKage entered, quickly disposing of Kage, despite his skills as a ninja. The others were stunned, looking on in sorrow, yet did nothing, as their villages would simply get crushed by the LitelKage, especially since he now controlled both villages. It was then that the Kage revealed himself to be one of a group of 12 S-class shinobi, a group than had been in circulation for many years, consisting of rogue ninja, who deserted their villages, in search of something more, usually after being denied the right of Kage, bloodline issues, or just sheer disgust for those around them. The group departed back to the land of Fire, where they then made themselves know to the Country.

The group, calling themselves the Zongetsi, did something unheard of. They ruled the nations from the darkness, leaving the Lands of lightning and fire separate, appointing two Kage they picked to do their bidding, as they had no desire to actually rule a nation, just control it. The Group left the Kage alone, as the group had ulterior motives. Receding into the shadows, the other Nations could do nothing but watch, as the lands of lighting and fire launched a full scale attack upon the nations, attacking each nation equally all at once, lest one gain the upper hand. The attacks were minor, due to having to split up the warriors, but they served their purpose: to distract the other villages. All the while, the Zongetsi began recruiting outlying nations for no apparent reason, at least, none of importance at the time. As the war began to escalate, the nations against the Zongetsi controlled nations began to grow closer, banding together to dispel the threat from the other nations. A bigger, larger alliance was being former, much to the dismay of the Zongetsi.

After things had settled, the Zongetsi had become all but forgotten, the nations being separated by natural land marks. Things were returning back to normal, and the exams were getting ready to be held yet again, between the allied nations. A new nation had been formed, the Land of sound, in response to those who abandoned the nations. Although, the peace seemed surreal, and another problem surfaces. Just days before the exams, a strange beast emerged, a beast of great stature. The beast resembled that of a phoenix, only with 12 distinctively long tail feathers. As the beast surfaced the Zongetsi suddenly reappeared. Using a strange jutsu, the group was able to control the beast, unleashing it’s alarming power upon the villages, and eventually the nation. Banding together, the Kage of the villages fought the beast, breaking the control the Zongetsi had over it. In an attempt to stop the rampaging phoenix, the Kage sealed it within a young child, a baby at the time. Those who sealed the phoenix were killed as a result, the child being sparred. The Zongetsi retreated, to never be seen again.

Until now.

Several villages retained stories of being plagued by these beasts, and those that could not be driven away were sealed in children, using several techniques seen from the battle of the first beast. It became known that these children survived, but, due to the influence of the beasts within them, ran off into distant areas, never to be heard of again. That is, until one decided to stay in a village. There, the Zongetsi resurfaced, capturing the child for unknown reasons. The motives of the organization are unknown, other than the fact that the beasts may be wanted for some kind of technique, regarding their power. This threat couldn’t be ignored, and as a result, many villages began looking for the beasts and children, in an attempt to save them for the organization. As if one step ahead, the organization sent the warriors they had been gathering into every village, in an attempt to deter the villages. The Nations were plunged into an all out war, the allied villages in combat against the other villages, which now included the Sound Nations.

Amid the constant war, the Kage of the allied nations got together, and formed another village, the village hidden by clouds. In this village, the exams are to be held, as are the training of other warriors, as a village to remain if war takes a turn for the worst. At the current time, the exams are set to be held in the secluded village, under a high level of security, especially since major battles of the war are now stopped, generating a cold war like feeling. One can bet that the Zongetsi are watching, and waiting for the moment to attack.

Lands:

In this rp, there are 7 lands, each having a few villages within them. The Five lands are as follows, and are ranked biggest to smallest in land mass: Earth, Water, Sound, Wind, Fire, Lightning, and Air. Each Land (or nation) Consists of several villages, with one being of great importance, the hidden village. These hidden villages are the biggest villages, and comprise of the most military power for the land.

The Land Of Earth: The biggest nation, with the strong military force. This is where the first beast attacked. The land is considered to be one of the strongest around, with a strong economic and military force. It has the largest land mass and population, and the Chunin exams were once held here for the allied nations. It’s hidden village is the Village hidden in the Canopy, due to it’s large trees. The ninja here specialize in no particular element, making it a good place to train. It’s led by the Hokage.

The land of Water: A large nation, holder of the strongest military force out of the 7. The nation is an island, where it primarily rains. The nation receives it’s crops from trading with the Land of earth. The ninja here specialize in techniques dealing with water, and ice villages near the north. The hidden village is the village hidden in the waterfall. The nation consists of many pacifists, only fighting when completely necessary, usually excluding itself from political affairs. It’s led by the WalatKage.

The land of Sound: A new nation, filled with people, but not recognized with as a nation until made know by the Zongetsi. Since then, the nation has become neutral in it’s affairs, attacking whenever it sees fit, usually used as mercenaries to whoever hires them, in this case, the lands of Fire and Lightning. The area is quite barren, and is know as a leech land, as it depends on other nations to receive food. It is the leading manufacture of combat weapons. It’s hidden village is the village hidden in the waves. It is lead by the SunoKage.

The land of Wind: One of the oldest nations, it was first allied with the nation of earth. The nation is nothing special, considered to be average. It’s landscape is striking, which gives it a large population. It was the place where the exams were held before the fighting began. It’s hidden village is the village hidden in the breeze. It’s lead by the ToriKage.

The land of Fire: The land that has been the most trouble, it is the leading manufacture of gear and armor in the area. The nation is often associated with villains and the like, and as such is often distrusted. Many feel it can never hold it’s alliances, and will turn on the land of Lighting. The hidden village is the village hidden in the smoke, and is said to be the home of the base of operation of the Zongetsi. It is led by the FonreKage.

The Land of Lightning: The village which is said to be home to many of the tailed beasts, is held responsible for the ongoing war. The land is shrouded in mystery, as it is relatively young, but is home to some of the strongest ninja forces around, The Burning Streaks. The organization is said to be associated with the Zongetsi, although the warring between nations has since decreased. It’s village is the village hidden in the rain, and is lead by the infamous LitelKage.

The Land of Air: The newest land. Is considered to be a branch from the Land of earth, as the Earth Kage rules over it. The Chunin exams are currently held here, as is much of the training and formation of squads for the allied nations. The nation is young, and quite vulnerable. It’s village is the village hidden in the clouds.

Ranks: As in Naruto, the ranks of this rp are as follows: Genin, Chunin, Jonin, and Kage. There are also several special classes, such as hunter nin, medical nin, ANBU and S-class nin. In your sign-up, a rank can be specified, if one feels they can fill the position of said rank. For example, One can sign-up as a Jonin, wishing to be in the ANBU. If so, you must pm me with a writing sample appropriate to the level of ninja an ANBU must be. In this rp, each of us will be jonin, and may have a squad of 3 Genin. The genin will also have a sign-up, but it is very simple, and they will compete in the Chunin exams.

Jutsu: In this rp, you can make your own jutsu, with the exception of up to 5 Naruto jutsu. Several jutsu will be already known to your character, as in Jonin will know how to clone, transform, etc. Each of your characters can have up to 15, with up to 7 other jutsu for special ranks, as in medical jutsu.. jutsu of you own to use. When listing a jutsu, one must specify the level of the jutsu. If one wishes to have an S-class or forbidden jutsu, pm me with the jutsu, and I will dictate whether the jutsu will be allowed or not. Don’t try to be full of chidori rip offs, or you will be rejected. Also, you must have a good reason for knowing a jutsu. Your character will have an element, and their jutsu should reflect that element. You shouldn’t know more than 2 strong jutsu of a type away from your own. Use your judgment, lest you be rejected. Be creative with the techniques. For genin, you don’t have to make each individual jutsu, unless you feel it’s necessary. Also, when listing a jutsu, list the chakra supply it uses, small, moderate, high, or severe. This will determine what jutsu you can do, and when. When you are listing Jutsu, list the jutsu, the exactly what it does, then powerlevel. Take the following as an example:

Fire rain: Summons falling rocks set on fire: 3

Suriclone: Throws a projectile, then shadow clones the projectile: 4

And so on. This is easier to keep track of.


Fighting Technique: The fighting technique is just that, how your character fights. You can pick our of either genjutsu oriented, ninjutsu, or taijutsu. You may also list more than one, but one must be moreprevalent than another, and not all 3. You may also make your own, based off the 3.

Kekkai Genkai: I will allow you to be creative with this. Now, you may use traits from Naruto if you wish, but please make it level appropriate, as in no full powered sharingan. If you feel you are pushing it, feel free to pm me. You are encouraged to make your own.

Land/ Village: He is a missing nin.

Appearance: Fiyo is an average height, slender man. His body is extremely toned, and he is very muscular in definition. His skin is extremely white, the level of being pale. His hair is silver, and long, spiked up slightly in the front. His face is slender and gaunt, with deep, purple eyes. He wears a long red scarf around his neck. He wears a tanktop like chest plate black, with white tape atop his stomach area. His arms are taped in the same tape.

His legs he wears black standard military uniform pants(like sensai.) the pants bunch around his knee, which his legs are taped in white tape from the knee down. His shoes are standard shinobi footwear, black. Around his waist he wears his headband as a belt, the symbol of the earth land upon it, slashed through.

Personality: Fiyo is quite easy going, but will remain on task no matter what. He is a nice person, but is very focused and determined. He is quite arrogant, yet never underestimates the enemy. He knows he is skilled, and often points that out.

Weaponry: Many kunai, a large, jet black katana. The blade itself is black.

Fighting style: He uses Ninjutsu, and several taijutsu attacks.

Kekkai Genkai: The 7 dances style. They are secret techniques that only the clan know how to do. The dances require no hand sign to preform, and use less chakra than normal. One can only do each dance one time a day, and if done more than once, user may not be able to do said dance again.

Background: Fiyo was born into a dying clan, deep in the fire village. In his earlier years, Fiyo preformed father poorly at the academy, but showed his true colors for battle during the latter part of the chunin exams. He was a strong ninja, joining the ANBU at age 13, leading the next year. As a result, he was thought to be very serious. After leaving the ANBU, he went on to become a missing nin, seeking to join the Zongetsi. His old sensai went on to join the Zongetsi, and Fiyo seeks out the tailed beasts just to stop them. He will kill all in his way.

This is an S-class profile, so yours should be a little less than that, if you want to get in. For ANBU, the same amount of info is required. Please, no one line description or backgrounds.

So that's about it. Everything is pretty much subject to change, so please bear with me. Just have fun. As for the plot when we start, we will be organized on a tip to find one of the tailed beasts, which will then be revealed to you. Just wanted to make things clear. I really hope you enjoy this.

Plot summaries:

XxmehxX: Shin and Fiyo are on their way to kill the Kage of the Land of water, just after a battle with many water ANBU. Hizaki began fighting in a three party battle, attacking the kunoichi first, teleporting using flying thunder god jutsu, and remains in the area.

almanorigin: Arito is resting from his battle with Kanna after using up his energy under the influence of his cursed sword, Animus. He is currently observing the current battle from inside a diamond tree he created.

Fist of Rahl: pinned down between those kunoichi and the guy with the hawk. I summoned monkeys to distract your birds. Then the ladies started attacking me so I poped out after that move you made they shot a sand ball at me and summoned a tiger to attack me. I used my fireball jutsu to counter the sand and make a sand screen to hide me

Melon Daifuku: Mama-san is currently making her way through the forest on her way to capturing the two-tailed beast. The Seishoujou Ryouiki are fighting Rahl, who imagines himself strong enough to stop a high level summoning, a blast of earth jutsu, a volley of arrows, and an assault of hook swords, all at the same time from a group of expertly trained ninja

Visba: Kuraiyume battled and won against 8 water nin, killing 6. Then he fought an enemy ANBU member and won, but he passed out from blood and chakra loss. His genin took him back to the Final Forest after killing three water shinobi, where the medical nin treated him. Kuraiyume eventually awoke and told his genin to go back and fight the water nin, but I haven't done anything since then.
