I have a similar situation to the girl who says she masterbates a lot. My problem is something I also get a guilt trip over. Horrifically.
That thing has one name: Yaoi.
I've been addicted to Yaoi since before I was saved. My pastor once talked about the fact that it is natural for a Christian to bring about baggage from their previous unsaved life, so I know this is kinda normal.
I just wanna know if anyone else suffers the same circumstances. Uhg thank God for this guild. heart heart

I really wish I could help you, I really do. You seem like a good person and all that, and I really want to help you, but I don't know what to say, but I will say this.
I had the same kind of thing going on. I got addicted to it when I was a wee lad by way of handheld battery powered massagers. I got addicted to it and I found out that you could do the same hing by yourself, and I switched to that, and then I encountered pornography, well, mainly hentai. But anyway, I've struggled with it off and on ever since. But Ever since I got back from this church camp, the urge has still been there, but somehow I've been able to fight it with greater ease. I don't know if its because there is a girl I actually like and could see myself with, and the thought of it makes me think, "what would she say if she knew this is happening?" which is a bit of a deterrent.
I don't know. Maybe that helps, maybe it doesn't, but either way I'm prayin for ya.

yeah i hate the baggage. mine isn't yaoi...but it's just as bad...not that there is really any lvls of how bad something is....anyway. mine would have to be more along the porn/sex stuff. so again stupid baggage. it's something i've been working on for the last 6-7 yrs so and i still have a lot of trouble with it. not as much the online porn stuff anymore but more the sex/masturbation stuff. and it's not an easy fight and every time i fall to it i have to start over again from the start in getting myself away from it so it's a long uphill battle. but your definitely not alone in that. but the great thing is we're always forgiven and restored when we come to God. plus we have the added bonus of getting help from him when we ask....the only problem is we have to remember to ask..

It's just a bit silly...
Well, I don't think it should be a problem unless you try to repress it instead of working through it naturally.
My personnal belief is that most teen girls don't seem to mastrubate enough. Most seem to think of sex as an alien thing instead of as one of the most critical things to life. All the suppressed sexual energy makes them tense and less able to cope with growing up and reality in general.

Jesus himself told us that it is the lust that is the sinful part behind an action....not necessarily the action. b/c even sex wasn't created to be a sin it was created to be something experienced between a husband and wife, something to be enjoyed. we have just warped it with porn and prostitution and premarital sex and homosexuality "It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like that heathen, who do not know God;..." 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 tell me...how is the act of masturbation or other sexual actions outside of marriage following this? if something doesn't follow God's will then it is automatically a sin. sin is anything that is not in obedience to God...anything that is impure and unholy. Good Lord thats the most conservative thing I've heard in my life. Masterbation isn't a sin because it isn't having sex with another person before marriage, and is really the body's natural response to sexual feelings. It's actually LESS natural to repress everything than to "act them out". Just let the body do it's thing -.-.

However you kinda misread what I typed. My pastor didn't tell me to do so, it's just that it's a natural thing Christians go through as a result of carrying baggage from our previous unsaved life. I can't believe I had to say that a second time.

Things related to lust, which I fight and fight against everyday, knowing that only God can help me in this, since "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12).
