Welcome to the Character Compability Thread! XD Or the one simply known as CCT or the Pairing Thread! =D (Ignore my hyper mood, I'm on a high since I got vol 26 from Japanses Amazon today.) In here you can...
-Discuss different pairings (pros and cons)
-Suggest good, odd, completely wacko or sick pairings and argue for (or against) them
-And in the same go mention what pairings you like yourself
^^ What caused this thread to come to life is the fact that it can be interesting and fun. But I also got HUGE motivation from volume 26. XD There were some IVP ("implying visual proof") in this endign volume and I just found the pairings implied... fun, great, interesting, etc.
Oh, and PLEASE... no character or pair bashing. You don't like a pairing, you don't like it and that's fine. ^^ Just don't go on rave about it for hours on an end... UNLESS, of course, you've got something good/interesting argument to come with as to why this pairing doesn't hold, is bad, etc. ^^

The pairings I've already written up here above... XD Shall I explain them? *coughs* Well...
Thatz and Delte
XD My dear friend Kamikits mentioned to me in a PM that it seemed like Ohkami had stated that she had, in the end, decided to take Thatz and Kitchel off the route to cliche pairings and separate them. Also, due to some nice IVP ("Implying Visual Proof") from vol 26 (which I can scan for anyone who wnats because they're non-spoilers) I felt this had to be mentioned. XD; What do you guys think? Completely impossible? You must agree that Ddelte is a very nice girl and if nothing else, she and Thatz could pass off for a pairing if they got some time.
Plus, Delte is really rather calm and cool, something Thatz might need/want more than the competition and spazzyness we find in Kitchel? And while Kitchel and Thatz has a history that may help them and bring them closer, that same history, and all that happened in it, might also be the very thing that closes the door on the Thatz/Kitchel pairing.
If you think on it from an "enduring" angle, I could really see this pairing. While Thatz and Kitchel migth/would work too, they might just not be able to stay together/stand each other for as long as they now have. Also, another factor when it comes to time is that Kitchel, however you look on it, is still human while Thatz is not. She will die before him while Delte is a Faerie and thus will match Thatz in age and longlivity. *shrug*
I think this pairing is ok. ^^

Tetheus and Kitchel
This one I know I've heard or seen before so nothing much new here... except for the IVP! XD;;;; Yes, peeps, anyone wants a scan? Hee hee. Anyway. ^^ Yes, they're very different, just like Kitchel and Thatz are very different but in another way.
While some of you may say, or argue with, that Kitchel will be the death of Tetheus in the long run (and I'm almost inclined to agree here, you know XD; ), I can only say that perhaps it will have the opposite effect... Instead of a heart attack or something he might just live longer from it. XD;; Err...
Well, while you might use my own argument from the previous post against me, especially about the age one, I'm going to say that I think it'll be somewhat different with Tetheus. He is, unlike Thatz, perhaps able to cope better with Kitchel's bouncy nature because, while Thatz is rather to jump and go "rawr" at her in return, Tethus is rather to put her on a chair and hold her down until she's sitting still. XD;; For however long that now may last. But on the overall, I think Tetheus has the ability to make her slow down and listen... well, faster than anyone else can make her do it.
When it comes to age, I think that if Thatz ever got together with Kitchel, and was able to stand her for that long (through wet and dry and all that stuff), then he might just be so stuck with her that he cannot let her go when she does indeed die of old age. Independant of how old she gets or what magic she uses... Kitchel is only human and that's a fact, while Thatz is not.
While Tetheus isn't human either, and thus will outlive Kitchel (we think XD or hope), I think he has the mindset and personality that allowes him to let go, even if he really likes her. But, of course, that's just how their characters come off to me. Personality analysis and all that jazz... wel, unintentional analysis. But then again, this is my favorite manga. ^^
Well, to finish this off, I say that I quite like this pairing. It's pretty nice.

Ruwalk and Cernozura
XD; Goodness, this one... it took me by surprise. But it was interesting/funny too. ^^ What supports this one? >.>; A picture of Ruwalk and Cernozura eating candied apples and standing pretty close at the same time too. Well, that and their small interaction before the part/celebration (actually, Raseleane's farewell party, I think). Want the IVP (scans)? Nothing that spoils, I promise. Otherwise I wouldn't offer the "documentation" up. XD;
Well, what else about this couple? It's a nice and calm couple, Cernozura is someone who can remind him slightly of Lykouleon, especially the more (extremely) caring part of his personality. Plus, she has got some of the calm and grace that Raseleane does, and we just know how much the officers adore the (now) ex-Dragon Consort. ^^
On Cernozura's part... I think she would be quite comfortable with Ruwalk. He's kind and open, not too young and running around but nor old and stuck in one place. He's also very warm, compared to Tetheus but also compared to others. They mirror each other pretty much on that front, I think, Cernozura and Ruwalk. So, yes, I could really see this pairing. It's actually kinda nice, you know.
I like it. ^^

Tetheus and Kitchel~~! xd *is instantly for such a wonderful crackalicious pairing*
I dunno about arguments though, but despite Kitchel's personality, Tetheus... seems to be able to take it, if not in stride, then with some grace. And eating the food she cooked. It's, really, all the proof needed for the positive confirmation of this couple! XD
Besides that, why not? Opposites and all that jazz... Dude, no, I really have no good arguments. I'm just for it! A+++

^^; Very inventive, Karill. XD; Got any arguments to follow your clever statement and bouncing? XD
Hmn... I think I could find some against though. After loosing Rath once, if that is the case, then I could see him having a hard time giving Rath the freedom he wants. True, the "job" as Dragon Emperor doesn't offer much freedom either but in that case he has got his friends (Rune and Thatz most of all) and he's got Cesia. Exclude those, or just Cesia and replace her with Kharl and you get trouble keeping Rath in one place, I would think. Having Kharl create demons for Rath to kill when he gets bored is a temporary solution seeing as it wouldn't hold with Rath in the long run and would be tireing for Kharl, I believe.
That's my main argument for against this couple. >=P And I deem it your, Karill, or anyone else's, task to argue for it. XD

Hey, I was (and still am) rather tired, which always makes arguing a point difficult.
Why do I like the pairing? It's pretty, which is a start. It also has a good old heap o' angst, at least, on Rath's side.
Do I have any reasons for it? Maybe, maybe not. I'm tired. xp 'Course, I am in that state a lot. It's not very pleasant.

Hmm...one random pairing...Kitchel & Sabel.
I know it's very highly unlikely and I'd never expect it to carry through, but their interactions make up for enough to have at least a short sort of relationship. Kitchel has too much fun tantalizing Sabel and he gets annoyed by it (much quicker than Thatz would).
So the only good reason I have for this pairing is that it'd be fun to see how it'd carry about. XD
And here's just my random ponderings (because my OTP is Raseleane & Lykouleon), but what do you guys envision a relationship between Raseleane & Nadil would be like? (anyone with Nadil always raises curiousity)
I'd imagine it'd be a really one-side relationship and one that has been forced onto the other, but just what if...IF a relationship was formed between these two? I'm curious to hear what you have to say. XD

Nadil and Raseleane? Hmn... He has wanted her, if for no other reason than make Lykouleon miserable. But if he had another reason, just ONE, than I believe this one could work. Raseleane might not be extremely comfortable in the presence of all those youkai buuuut... she would manage, I believe. She is that kind of person who can just by devoting themselves to the one they love, well, that's my impression.
Also, I do believe that if he wanted her then he might just... mellow out a bit while they're in private? I could see that. If only just a little. He would still be Nadil and it might be more of a one-sided love but I could see him stepping down one step (on the hundred step stair) of being a demon, yes.
So... while it might be rather trying on Raseleane, it could work. *nods* And if not and Nadil is like we always have seen him (more or less) then it would really, as you say Hiryuko, be a one-sided relationship. ^^
<.< >.>; I think I read a fanfic with this pairing once. It was good and stayed IC, as far as I could tell and remember.

XD;; Thank you! But Thatz hasn't got much say in the matter, me thinks. Especially not since it's Kitchel in it. XD;;; She would clobber him to the ground and cheerfully walk back to Tetheus' side as if nothing had happened. Haha!
But it is a rather interesting canon (but still unusual and, dare I say, "fan-like" - as if it had been made by fans) couple, no? ^^
