That does look like a fantastic magazine. I wish I could justify buying a subscription, or perhaps I only wish that they put their articles online and not only in print. But it does look fabulous. I love the wide variety of styles and practices enjoyed by their featured ladies on the cover. Such diversity in any religious community is great to see.
I once asked my rabbi if it was a good thing or a bad thing that there were so many different minhagim (customs) and masortim (traditions) within Judaism. He said, "There was only one variety of potato grown in Ireland for many generations. When the potato blight came and wiped out almost all potato plants of that species, the Irish starved. Had they grown a wide variety of species of potato, the starvation never needed to happen." Point made, Rabbi L.: Diversity is good within a community, no matter how tightly knit.
