Morty winged her way towards the lake of the HQ, the day too nice to stay cooped up at home! It felt good to be an adult now, not so scared the world was out to get her since she was big enough to fend for herself.

Spike had been sleeping by the edge of the lake, and awoke when he heard wings beating. He creaked open a sleepy eye, but broke into a huge wide awake grin when he saw a rather large Morticia approaching. He righted himself and wagged his tails happily.

She descended and easily landed on the ground, folding her wings along her back. She turned her head to see if any other Kitsu's were around and a huge, happy smile spread on her face at seeing Spike, "SPIKE!!!" she cried out and she ran towards him.

Spike grinned in response. And received her in a hug. He chuckled and wagged his tails even more, he quirked a brow as he looked her up and down, he nodded with an 'told you, you'd be beautiful' look.

Morty hugged him tightly and she blushed when he gave her that look, "I'm still not as pretty as mom though..." she said.

Spike frowned, and lightly tapped her, giving a "I dont want to hear that' look. He shook his head and sighed. He went over to the lake and pointed down at the calm surface, and nudged his head for her to follow.

Morty sighed lightly when he looked at her like that, but blinked when he nudged her toward the lake and she followed after him, curious at what he wanted to show her.

Spike closed his eyes and concentrated. The reflection of Morty began to shift. It showed Morty as Spike saw her. Beautiful, confident, intelligent, caring, a strong indipendant woman. He wanted her to see she was beautiful in her own right, and to not compare herself to her mother all the time.

Morty's eyes went wide at the sight before her, not quite believing the beautiful Kitsu in the reflection was actually her. She blushed hard as she sat back, speechless.

Spike chuckled lightly and nudged her. His head tilted to the side as his teal eyes searched hers. He was trying to find a sign, anything to say how she'd taken his vision. He wanted her to see herself, as he saw her.

Morty looked up at Spike, her eyes shining in love and thanks for him, a few tears falling down her face.

Spike looked guilty, his ears lying back as his teal eyes searched hers. He hadnt ment to upset her. With a peach colored wing-tip he gently removed the ears that rolled down her whitened cheeks. He smiled lightly

Morty giggles and she leans over and nuzzles him gently, "Thank you Spike..." she whispered, purring lightly.

Spike chuckled lightly, making a clicking noise in his throat. He put an arm around her and nuzzled her back. He threw her a look of "No problem" He chuckled lightly again.

Morty chuckled as well, the smile still on her face. It thrilled her he wanted to put his arm around her, but figured he only did it because they were friends and he was helping her. "So what have you been up to Spike?"
