I loved the book. Atticus is probably near the top of my favorite characters. (I say near the top because it is a pretty long list!). I read it for class a few years ago, but I would read it again.

I've read this twice, in 7th grade and in 9th. It's a good book with a great story line and wonderful characters, but I got sick of it.

爱! He was definitely my favorite.
It was my summer reading assignment in 9th grade. I was sure I would hate it because everyone and their mom liked/had read it. I was and still am under the mislead impression that the populace of the world has been engineered to read crap and enjoy it. sweatdrop I put off reading it until a month before school started and then thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I read this book for school, it was really good I have to say. I didnt expect to like it, since it seemed like something I wouldnt like. My favourite bit is probably the part where: Spoiler Alert Scout tells Heck Tate, what happened under the tree, when Bob Ewell tried to kill them.

Nucleotide I read it last year for school 3nodding It was much better than I thought it would be. I read this for school as well. I definitely liked it a lot more than I thought I would. When we rescued a baby Robin one time I actually named it "Scout" (even though it had nothing to do with the book what-so-ever.) redface

My mom bought it for me and said "Everyone should read this." I thought it would be boring but it was actually one of the best books I've read in a long time.

It really is a great book. It's a shame actually, because when I was younger I was put off it because of the title and the synopsis on the back. It's a great book for teens or older children but it sounded really complicated when I picked it up in a friend's house...
I did read it in school and I used to look forward to that class every day xD Used to have to read sometimes and it helped me get an A in my exams... great great book. Has Lee got any other works? And wasn't Dill based on Truman Capote?

Don't know if Dill was based on him, but I don't think Lee has written any other novels though.
biggrin The book grows on you, no?
