The sun was setting, the sky a masterpiece of nature. It was the quiet time before night, when animals were laying down to bed, and the nocturnal creatures stirring. The silence was not wasted that day, for a young wild dog puppy was sitting on a large rock, his eyes gazing at the sunset. He watched as it shifted, never peeling his gaze away.
A small yawn escaped his maw, and he wondered if his mother would come looking for him soon to tell him it was bedtime. He hoped not, since she usually let him finish watching the sunset while his siblings ate supper. He always ate extremely fast, and his stomach groaned in protest at how fullk it ahd become in so small a time. Tulivuu ignored it; enjoying the peace and tranquility of the dusk.

 Wandering off again to an unknown place she had no idea. She looked around... mother.. she couldn't see mother! She couldn't see anyone she had been with when she opened her eyes for the first time. But she didn't whimper... the thick hot layer of air started settling in to her eye level. To free herself from this she started running across the plains. With a large inhale of this air she ran more gracefully. With a slight close of her eyes in the exhale the dust brushed up. Tossing her head from one side to the next she tripped on a smaller rock to only roll in a bundle.
When she finally got to open her eyes when her back was against a large rock. Her butt high in the air and her tail fluffed upon her face. She seemed to be clumpsy but quiet and shy... but that disappeared when she gave out a light whimper. Thinking to call out for her mother but her voice was gone. Trying to call out but nothing came out. Her hind legs dangling over her head as her head was looking up to the sky... and to the edge of the rock. Her floppy ear twitched some.

Tulivuu jumped up on the rock as he heard someone smash into the other side. He hoped it wasn't a clumsy predator trying to catch him. He crawled to the side silently, poking his wide eyes over the edge.
The young puppy let out a chuckle of relief when he saw it was a very tangled female pup. "Hello down there!" He said happily, his tail swinging above his head slowly. "What're you doing?" He asked, as he stood and hopped from the rock. He stumbled a bit and shook himself off before facing her with a curious expression.

 With her preal blue eyes, she looked out towards the sky. A head popped out from the rock in which her sight was at. His black face with the freckles of white on his nose.. and the purple eyes in whcih had her confused. Only seeing her siblings or so.. though she knew she was much younger than this boy. He seemed to be talking.. why couldn't she?
She moved her maw to talk but nothing came out. Finding it hard to believe she tried to say something but squeeks came out. She then let out another high squeel and with that her body slid over her face to make her lay flat out on her stomach. Shyly she retreated her paws backwards a little. Not paying attention to the pain that her stomach was enduring form the slamming fall to the ground. Floppy ears also retreated flat upon her skull. A tail also shyly slid under her. Moving backwards but her stomach still toouching thr ground. "Ah.." She squeeked out from her maw. Squeeking more trying to get the words out. 'Could he be in my family ? Or-or another.. would he fight me? I dont know how to fight! ;;; ' She said in her head as the confusion stumped her enough to wobble her head from one side to the next as she thought more.

Livu tilted his head to the side. Why wasn't she speaking to him? He then remembered when he was first born and couldn't speak for a while, until his mother taught him. "Oh, you can't talk yet?" He said with a smile. "That's okay. It took me a while to talk, too."
He noticed how scared she looked, and he bent down to make himself appear not as large. "It's alright, I won't hurt you. My name is Tulivuu."

Her tail wagged some when he introduced himself. That smile... Maybe he wasn't bad afterall huh? He sounded nice.. at least. well he didn't look nothing like her pack but maybe he still could be. His white markings looked like her sister's. "..." In that silence her maw opened like if she were talking but nothing came out.
Ah. When he moved he wasn't that much taller than her! Great... maybe if they did fight she wouldn't have to lose... but fighting she preferred not to get in. Her body lifted from the ground and her head held moniorly downward. Her paws moved in sequence... what could she do! She gave a sigh and 'arg'ed at him lightly. Not as a growl but she gave a smile. Nodding her head to his name. She put up a paw, stretching it across the rock and the other did the same. Enough to act usually see him closely. Climbing just a bit to get as close to nose touch. Flapping her tail over her head. Her blue eye blinking softly at him. Now she cold see him fully. Finally... When she was on the ground she could only see the vague outline of him with a blur.
She sniffed softly to trace any familiar scent, doing this her hind paw lost balance and forced her claws to come out to hold her up. Slipping minorly but for her it was a lot. A hint whimper came from her closed maw... her claws hurt coming out so she retracked them enough to slip off. The small dark body lightly letting fully go of the rock to only fall was it.

Livu smiled at her antics, wagging his tail. "Hey, you wanna play a game?" He asked, glad she didn't seem quite as scared anymore. He wondered if his mother would be looking for him, but what was the harm in playing a few rounds of hide-and-seek? It was getting near dark, too, so it would give the game a bit more depth.
"It's called hide-and-seek. You go hide somewhere, and then I'll count to ten. When I'm done I'll come looking for you, and if I can't find you then you win! If I do find you, I win and then it's my turn to hide. Okay?" He smiled happily, glad to have someone so quiet to play with.

When she fell she promptly fell on her rump. Letting out a light squeel but when he stated to speak. She only flapped her ears around and paw at her ears.
Tilting her head from one place to another as he talked. As if she didn't understand. But hiding so he wouldn't find her? Why would he want that? Was... he suppose to find her? Hm. Winning and losing a game wouldn't be so bad. She liked both outcomes if it were to play a game... but she never played one! It'd be her first time...
Surely enough though her mom would be looking for her. It was dark and the pack was probley getting ready for bed and some hunting for the morning meat.. A soft whimpering came since she fell. But it soon stopeped and analyzed this game to this best of her ability. Hiding. Ok.. that ment.. going to somewhere where they cant find me... Nodding. She thought carefully and rushed off towards rocks that seemed to be nearby. With vines and other large formed rocks.
If he wanted to find her.. She was an expert at hiding because of her color. Skidding across a rock she slipped in to a miniature hold. Even to fit her, the hole led in to a small cave space and there she slicked against the rocks, hiding. Her pearl blue eyes watching out for the strangly friendly pup.

Once she ran off, Livu grinned and closed his eyes. "One... Two... Three... Fourfivesixseveneight... Nine... TEN! Here I come!" He opened his eyes and put his nose to the ground, sniffing about for her scent, like his mom did when she was tracking prey.
With his nose in the lead, Livu wandered about for a while, occasionally checking a small spot where he thought she might hide. To his dissapointment, there were too many other smells, and his mind kept getting sidetracked. He lost her scent, and shrugged inwardly. He'd have to use his eyes and ears now.
The young black pup walked around, passing her hiding place a few times without seeing her. He was determined though, and finally he poked his head into the rocky crevice, grinning when he saw her. "Got ya!"

Her cheeks burned as her eyes became wide. She slipped out of her hiding place and tackled him. Rolling as the dust and dirt came up from when it was laid at rest. Her tail flickered around and curled around his leg so she wouldn't fall so hard. Flopping on to the ground, when they stopped. Pretend stars circled her eyes but she smiled brightly and odd like. She would laugh but her laugh did not come out as it should. But the motions were of laughing manner.
She picked herself up minor but only to fall on her side again. blinking softly. Her ears flickering and flopping around.

Livu grinned and laughed as she tackled him. He rolled around, off to the side, laying on his back with the same type of expression she had. He giggled and looked over at her, grinning wider still. "That was fun! Now try to find me!" He exclaimed, standing up and shaking off his coat, dust flying everywhere.
He ran off into the shadows, night closing around the two quickly now. He sniffed out a good place to hide. It was a hole inside a tree, that he thought he might be able to fit into. He stuck his head and shoulders in, pulling himself inside the rest of the way. His dark eyes shined from inside the tree as he waited.

When he said to go find him.. she thought that he didnt come after her right away. So she had to wait. Flipping her tail around for a little while, more time then he had done.
Waiting.. then her small legs lifted her body, shifting in a pase much like running but her legs were wobbley. She used mostly her blurry sight but night started rainning down on the land. Her maw slightly opened as her tongue laid to the side of her maw, hanging. Her tail whipping around. Darkness surrounded and clouded her sight so she used her nose. Sniffing around aimlessly. Not a very good tracking pup.. She sat down. Flopping her rump down to the floor in a defeat. She wouldn't give up though. She needed to rest before going on. She wouldnt whimper.. her tail flopped around. It was getting lonely.. she wanted to find him quickly.. She sniffed aroud again on with her search. Passing his hiding place a million times and she still couldn't find him.
She settle on top of a rock. Looking around. Her eyes werent that good. Seemed like itd take forever to find him.. and so many things wrong with her anyways! Maybe he left for her taking so long? ...Giving out a big sigh and she tried to speak but her voice was just gone. Not there.
Pawing at the air, wanting him back.. maybe this darkness ate him.. she thought sadly. Still looking aroiund for him in determination to follow him if he did left or find him if he was still hiding.

Tulivuu noticed the rain, and he popped his head out from the hole in the tree. "Oh,. no... Mother will be worried." He muttered, jumping from his hiding spot and looking around for his new friend.
When his eyes finally caught sight of her, the rain had soaked through his coat, making it even darker than usual. "You should head home now, and so should I. My mom's gonna get worried." He said, sad that they had been cut short due to the weather. "I'll see you around, okay? Bye!" He said with a smile, turning to leave.

She jumped when she heard his voice, and an automatic reaction came. A pounce on him. Yesh the rain had come, even without her noticing.. what had happened all this time she was looking... for him..
She softly pawed at him but her eyes went sad. It was raining.. and they needed to part.. She had just met them. She curled her arms around him in a hug. A warm one; friendly like. Wagging her tail about.
She looked up in to his eyes. Her own eyes saying if they would be friends.. or if they would see each other again.' Her maw tried to spout words but ... it just didn't happen. Feh. She wished she could talk.. to tell him that she wanted to play again... someday. Her paws loosened around him..

Livu was surprised by the contact, but he smiled and licked her cheek. "I'd like to meet you again soon." He said, pulling himself from her with reluctance. He hoped they would meet again sometime, and he also wished he could know her name.
With a sigh he turned and bounded off into the night, just as he heard his mothers cries for him to return.
