The Service Abbey

As you were welcomed by the Matron and the clanspeople, you entered this huge building, fortress, whatever thing that is big that comes to mind. Actually, the building you entered was the Service Abbey, where all the clansmembers reside. More than 10,000 sq ft, this abbey is guarded by 100 ft. walls. Inside, there is a courtyard, miniscule lake, the abbey itself, and the Matron's tower, which is at the back corner of the area. The Abbey, itself, is 3 stories tall, and equipped with enough rooms and services that it could serve every clansmember for an eternity, even if the clan expands. The Abbey is found in the center of the whole area, surrounded by the courtyard and its walls. Welcome home, make sure not to get lost.

Walking in, you see the clanspeople doing all sorts of activities. They're taking strolls, chatting next to the lake, sparring with one another, and so on. The Abbey is alive with activity, and everyone welcomes you here.

As you enter the Abbey building, you can see you'll be able to find yourself comfortable here. The first floor itself has rooms meant only for public usages, and as you go up to the second floor, you could tell that from here on out, there are just rooms. Crazy as it sounds, the rooms themselves are almost miniature apartments for everyone. Like we said, this Abbey is well equipped.

So, come round and enjoy your stay here. Do something fun, anything to entertain yourself. Just try not to get hurt in the process... or lost.

Important Note: There will be NO Profiles post in this roleplay. Your character will be YOU, the one who joined this clan. We don't necessarily have OC's in this thread, but you are playing as your avatar. So, let's just follow up with what we have in our profiles in the Social Service Subforum, alright?

Areas of Interest

Outside the Abbey:
The Courtyard
This amazing, green, lush garden surrounds the entire Abbey. Flowers, grasses, bushes, fruit trees, and everything else that is green is noticeable to the eye. On one corner of the Abbey courtyard resides the miniature lake, suitable for ONE boat (It's not THAT big.). In the daytime, it's alive with activity, and at night, it's one of the most beautiful areas to take a small stroll in. The Abbey is proud for its courtyard.

Matron's Tower
Technically, you're not allowed to enter this building, for it's where the Matron sleeps. The Tower is as tall as the Abbey, thus the stairs wind all the way up to the room at the very top. Ivy covers most of the tower. The window at the top of the tower is always open, and you can see the Matron look down at people sometimes when she's up there. It's a little mysterious up there, but on occasion, the Matron calls people up there.

Inside the Abbey:
First Floor
Grand Room
This is the biggest room of the whole Abbey. It takes up about one half of the first floor and is unimaginably huge. Grandeur chandeliers dangle 50 ft feet from the floor, and although the Abbey is made of stone, a massive dark green rug makes it seem there is carpet. Couches and chairs are found everywhere in this room. Huge banister stairs are right in front of the entrance, which lead up to the second floor. A giant mantle fireplace is seen at one end of this room, where a chair is seen right next to it, the Matron's seat. (Of course, everyone sits there if she's not there.) On the other end are two HUGE double doors that lead to the Service Mess Hall. There are two more doors (Normal, for once.) seen around this room. Once is a massive closet full of games, which occupy the clanspeople. The other door leads to the cellars of the Abbey, where all the ground vegetables and drinks are placed. If you don't find clanspeople outside, you most definitely will find them here in the Grand Room.

Mess Hall
This is where all of the clan eats. There are doors that lead to the kitchen at the far end of the room. Tables are lined in rows, breaking apart every three tables. On the tables are green eating pads to keep the tables clean. In the center of each table are lightish green candles which are lit every evening. Chandeliers also line up the top of this place, keeping light when the candles don't. On each side of the Mess Hall are giant stain glass windows adding some decoration to this area. At the end of this room is a table, meant for the Matron and her Trustees. This place is always collected with clansmembers, since everyone has to eat at one point of the day.

Kitchen
This room supplies all foods, for the Abbey. It is quite a big kitchen, and at the basic eating times of the day, it is full of clan chefs and cooks. There are also two doors in this room, excluding the one you entered. One door to the Abbey pantry, a REALLY big pantry, and the other to the cellars. You'll see many clanspeople walk in and out of here, just for a bite to eat.

Second Floor, Third Floor
Rooms, Rooms, and More Rooms
Rooming here is quite extravagant. Either sleeping alone, or with friends, the rooms are always occupied at night. Each room is different in its own way and is customized by the occupant themself. Second floor rooms are for everyone, whilst third floor rooms are for Knight ranks and up. You'll always find one person asleep the WHOLE day, but looking for their room will be a hard thing to do. There are HUNREDS of rooms, so finding a room is not that hard.

Attic
This area is rarely visited, and with good reason too. This is the storage for everything of the Abbey, including its weapons and armors. It's also the resting area for birds of the Abbey. Once or twice, every few months, someone will come here, but that's for a specific purpose. It's not exactly enjoyable, and it's even said there is an Abbey ghost. Even the Matron, herself, tries to avoid the area when needed.

Cellars
Dark and dank, basically what sums up the cellars. Only cooks and a few of the clan gardeners go to when they need to deal with the drinks and vegetables. There is a past history to the cellar, but no one knows what it is, except for the Matron. Sometimes, one or two clansmembers will come here to play, but in the end, they get too scared and immediatel leave. In the end, this place is only meant for drinks and vegetables.

The Abbey is gigantic, so finding somewhere to get comfortable in isn't that hard. Even if you get lost, somehow, something will attract you back to your room... or the kitchen.

Sarah sighed as she waited at the entrance of the Abbey; she was leaning against one of the huge wooden gates, their doors open to all. Her Trustees were out on working tasks, Emma with her recruiting and Elizabeth to her sleeping. Elizabeth was always the lazy Trustee, but as old friends, Sarah couldn't let her be scolded. The clanspeople were all in side, probably from exhaustion. Everyone had been working, and they all needed rest.

Sarah found her distraction from a flower at the side of the dirt road. It was a small frail daisy, that was practically dying. She imagined herself doing unimaginable things with just this daisy. It was strange for a Matron, but Sarah Lady was one extraordinary Matron, even if she was strange.

She tried to keep herself busy as she eyed this daisy and fidgeted against the gate. We had to have new recruits, we had to, right?

Moofins sighed and looked around. He had been walking for a little while, and for the most part, was a bit lost. For the past ten minutes he had been relying on his ears to lead him to the Abbey. He could hear voices yelling and hammers clanging. He supposed that that was where he was supposed to be headed. The boy glanced around, then let his lips part into a smirk. He could see the Abbey now.

The boy brushed a small strand of hair from his face that had fallen from his mohawk, then contiuned walking. He could see the gates, and a person, but wasn't paying much attention to anything. He was staring more at the top of the tower. "Ooooh" he said softly then let out a small whistle.

(For roleplaying, you've just earned the Roleplayer title, Moofins. x3)

Sarah glanced at the upcoming male who was walking on the dirt path to the Abbey. Finally, one of the new recruits had arrived, at least, that's who she that was coming. He was a peculiar figure with that line of hair on his half bald head. She smiled her "Matron" smile and walked up to the young chap.

"Welcome to the Service Abbey! I am the Matron. I suppose you are a new clanmember, correct?" she introduced herself to him. She was ecstatic about meeting someone after waiting minutes for someone to arrive. Emma had informed her about the new upcoming recruits and Sarah had to play hostess. Her back was aching from standing, but she could hold the Matron smile as if nothing happened.

{Sweet! : D}

Moofins stopped walking and glanced at the girl walking at him. She sure was happy. Then again, she looked like she had been waiting around for something. For him? Naw, not just for him. For anyone that had made it past the recruiting line.

"Hey, and yep. That's me. New clanmember." he said and flashed a smile. "My name isn't all that spectacular, so just call me Moofins." The boy held out his right hand, which wasn`t holding the cane, and smiled again. His crimson eyes were shining happily from behind his red sun glasses. First impressions were often mighty important, and he hoped he made one. How many men wore kilts? He, luckly, wore something under his.

{KILT!!!! x D}

The Matron was adorned in her green Matron outift. (Yes, Matron has an outfit that isn't made by Gaia. xD) She made sure to look pretty for everyone as they passed. She was extremely young for a Matron, especially if your idea of an Abbey leader was a crinkly elder. She was in her twenties, of course she was bangin'. But, she had to remember, Matrons don't use profanity. She was a lady, she was the Matron, she was supposed to be well-mannered.

She giggled with her girliest giggle. It was a little immature of her, but she wanted to show she could be Matron without the frigidness. She took his hand and shook it lightly, although a little quickly. "You are welcome to the Abbey. Rooming is, of course, up to you. Explore, look around. Be aware though, we are under constant construction. You'll be finding clanmembers clanging with tools. Who knows? You might actually become one of those clanmembers," she replied with a spry Matron-like voice. She was very happy today, this one recruit made her day. And it wasn't because of his odd kilt, although maybe just a little.

The boy blinked lightly when she giggled. It sounded high pitched, and a bit like when his friends stared at some guy they thought was "rad". Once she released his hand, he pushed up his sun glasses and let his hand fall to his side once more. "Awesome! As long at i`m not hit in the head with any of those tools, it's all good." he said with another smile. He peered around the girl and stared up at th Abbey. There were alot of people with the tools and the weird hats and them looked all busy, but it didn`t look dangerous at all.

She walked past him and then took a quick turn, to face the Abbey beside him. "Enjoy yourself. Just don't get lost. Hehe," she advised him. She put her hand on his back and gave him a slight soft push to the Abbey. She chuckled a normal chuckle and walked inside past him. She was going to inspect Abbey construction. Everything was in constant motion, so she had to be herself. She turned to the boy for a second and winked, then facing back to the Abbey, she sprinted inside the Abbey walls. Things needed to be quick, she didn't have time to just take a morning stroll. The clan avoided her as she sped by them her eyes taking a slight glance at everything be constructed, calling out orders when needed. She was fast that you could tell.

She entered the Abbey building, and was lost amongst its giant-ness.

The boy waited till she was out of site, then glanced around again. He wasn't sure where to go, but she didn't tell him he couldn't look around, and she had even gave him a slight push to go forward. Moofins debated inside his head for a moment, then headed toward the Abbey. No one really glanced at him, they were all busy doing their jobs and trying not to kill each other with their tools. He twirled his cane lightly and glanced around some more.

Sarah was upstairs on the second floor by now. She slowed her pace a bit since the halls were a little narrower than the courtyard. She began to take a brisk walk through these halls, fixing a vase of flowers every so often or greeting clanmembers. The halls were adorned with pictures of all kinds, most relating to the clan. The floor was covered with a rug just like the Grand Room's. Walking through these maze of hallways, she made it to the third floor rooming area. She would once again check around the rooms and greet everyone.

In the third floor, it was almost deathly quiet around. There were no knights since no one had to go to battle yet. The Guardians haven't been in order since long ago, and will stay that way until the battling begins. Her Trustees were out on working missions and she was the only one on watch today. She sighed, this clan was growing, even if its pace wasn't as fast as she wanted it to be. She continued her inspection and continued to walk to her destination... The Attic.

Emma sighed as she began to sort through paperwork on her desk. Due to being Captain of the Recruitment Department and Head of the Art Department, there was much work to be done and many papers to be looked over. As she was placing files into a cabinet, a young man walked in and handed her a few pieces of paper. "More recruits?" she asked the man, who nodded in reply. "Very well, set them there, I shall make sure the matron recieves their requests." The man nodded and left Emma to her work.

Emma knew it was good that the clan was getting more recruits, but on the other hand, her work was beginning to pile up fast. She sighed as she looked over the new recruit papers and went off to find the Matron.

Just before Sarah was about to walk up the stairs, she heard a door close behind her. Turning around, she noticed it was a clan's member. She asked him what he was doing in Emma's room and was informed that he was a messenger. She nodded to him and changed her direction, instead she was heading for Emma's room. It was always good to see her Trustees, even if they had a lot work to deal with instead of having idle chat. Yet, she WAS the Matron, she could pause work sometimes, even if it made the clan slacken a little.

Before she was about to enter Emma's room, she turned to the window opposite of Emma's room and yelled to the clan outside. "ENOUGH WORK FOR TODAY, GO GET A BREAK IN THE MESS HALL!" she roared, sounding like one of those cantankerous old women. Smiling, she turned around and faced Emma's door, politely knocking.

Sarah sure knew had to keep posture.

Startled, Emma jumped back, almost dropping her papers as she opened the door to find the Matron knocking, "Matron, forgive me, you startled me. I was just on my way to find you. I have all of the Recruit papers taken care of, all they need is your signature to be verified."

Emma paused a moment, for she had just realized that there was no noise coming from the open windows, "Where is everyone? I don't hear any work being done. Did I miss another announcement?" Emma, known to be lost on her thoughts most of the time, was oblivous to Sarah having told the workers to take a break.
