"Dad, where are we going?" the little cub walked around his father's feet, looking about only to turn and walk beside him again before running around the large male's feet. He was confident that he would not be stepped on, after all, he never has been.
"We are looking for someone. My Brother if you will," the adult replied, walking calming as he watched his son run around him just like he usually did when they went on for walks. He was growing up just find. He was about his hock's height now. Even more is that his fur around his neck was ruffling just as it had been when Ger had his. Oh he remembered that time in his life... he scratchd and complained about it day and night. Kujack and Aysha must have been bothered about that now wouldn't they?
"Oh? I have another Uncle? Sometimes I wonder if you are keeping them secret from me," he replied. He only knew of three Uncles, Trig, Moto, and Kinari. So there is a fourth one he did not know about, so exactly how many more were there? "What does he look like, maybe I can find him."
"He's smaller than me. Weaker than me. He doesn't have my markings. He had the same red eyes as you. He is a lighter, duller color than me. He whines. He complains. He's mannerly... to an extent. And, he has lots of cubs running around, so you have someone to play with now. That is if I can ever find him," the father replied.
"It sounds like you either hate this guy, or you are really exaggerating about him."
"More or less. I love Ezeoha, as a friend and a brother, it's just that he seems to not share the same feelings for me, at least I don't think he does."
"Why?"
"Because he's more into the female sort and he didn't have many friends that were male."
"Why?"
"Because he's a womanizer, but he still treats them with utmost respect. I think."
"Why?"
"Because he loves them that much."
"Why?"
"Because he's Ezzy," before his son could form out the next, predictable word, he reached down and scooped him up onto his broad back. "Don't ask another question till we find him, 'kay?"
"Alright... but why are we going to find him anyways?"
"Because Daddy's gonna go away for a while and you need someone to watch over you and Uncle Ezzy has cubs that you can play with."
"But what if he doesn't want me around?"
"Trust me, I will make him keep you around. I have my ways."

Ezeoha groaned softly, rolling on to his other side to put his back to his son, hinting at the juvenile to leave him be for a little bit. But Shaji was oddly insistent, climbing up on his father's back to nibble on his ear. "Daaadddd, Sineri made me /bleed/." The way Shaji said it made it seem like something completely horrible, but Ezeoha knew his son, and knew that this translated into Shaji having a minor cut. There was nothing wrong or out of place. He had no reason to worry.
"Go put a leaf on it." Ezeoha's voice sounded rough and grumpy, because his son was interrupting his beauty sleep, and Ezeoha did not appreciate it. He was only relieved when he heard his son leave the den, a soft sigh spilling out of his lips, he snuggling his big head into his nearest child to use as a pillow. This was one of the more visible signs of love. His child actually tolerated this action.
Shaji had left the den, trying to find a perfect and clean leaf to cover the cut on his leg. It was just when he had found one and applied it to the bleeding cut when he noticed a lion and a juvenile headed in his direction. He could only assume they were coming for a visit, and he was indeed hoping that the younger lion would play with him... once the bleeding stopped. With a happy look on his face Shaji darted back into the den where his family was... sorta crammed into.
"Daaaaaadddd."
He was greeted by a muted groan, his father turning even further away from him.
"Someone's here, dad."
"Tell them to go away."
"They're probably already here, though. Come on, dad."
Reluctantly Ezeoha got up, climbing out of the den with the excited Shaji behind him. His red eyes were unfocused for a little bit, but when they cleared he was left staring at the approaching figures of Ger and Zeki. "Oh dear, I haven't seen Ger in a while. I wonder what he's here for." He wasn't displeased to see Ger... he just wished it hadn't been during his nap.

"Oh dear, and I wasn't thinking about interrupting you, Brother. At least, not until when you are actually asleep," Ger laughed a little. With a slight glance back to his son and a roll of his shoulder, the juvenile got the hint and hopped off, landing with a soft thud. Ger was big, broad, and quite charming but one had to admit that Ezeoha was more so. Ger seemed to went for the more masculine charm with the strong phisque. Ger had a similar smile as Ez only because of how the other lion seemed to rub off on him when he was younger. "I haven't seen you since I came back here for a visit when I was living with the family. By the looks of it, you even have a litter of your own, that's nice to see that you are working toward a family."
Ger nudged his son off to play with the other cub while he and Ez could talk for a bit.
"Brother, I have something to talk to you about. Actually, more of a favor."
Zeki moved away from his father from the nudge, it seemed that Zeki understood all of his father's gestures. He could not help but always smile and chuckle softly at times. He moved over to this other youth, smiling just as his father does.
"Hello there. Name's Ezekiel, Zeki if you please," he purred quietly. "It seems like my Dad knows your Dad. And by the way he calls him "Brother" I would assume that would make us Cousins."

"You have the tendency to arrive at the most peculiar moments. I'm used to it by now, so don't worry yourself because I lost some sleep." He was really missing his den right now, though. All Ezeoha wanted to do was curl back up in it and drag one of his children over to his side to cuddle with. Sineri was a great cuddler when she wanted to be, but he had a lot of difficulty with finding a time when she was in the mood to snuggle up with her 'old man'. Shaji was the child he spent most of the time curled up with. Shaji was the only one of his children that didn't complain when Ezeoha wanted him to do something. "Yeah, I have a litter of five. It would've been easier if their... mother had stuck around. She was a sweet lioness, really. So I'm raising them on my own." It wasn't a big deal, really, but Ezeoha didn't like talking about Kia much. Deep down he hated that she had left him with the children, all on his own. He loved his cubs to death, but things could've been so much easier if Kia had stayed.
"Ah, I should've known that this just wasn't a visit to catch up on what's happened in our lives." He smiled, though, apparently in an easy mood (but that could be attributed to the fact that he was quite tired). "Shaji, go play while I talk with... Uncle Ger."
Shaji frowned, apparently not liking being told to go away. He wanted to stay, especially since his father had said something about his mother. She was 'sweet', and it made him happy to know that his mother had been nice. He might have cried if he had learned that his mother wasn't very nice to his father and had left him out of spite. So, obediently he moved a little ways away from his father to chat with his 'cousin'. He knew he had a lot of family already, so it wasn't too much of a surprise that he had another one. Though apparently Zeki wasn't a brother.
"I'm Uzalishaji. You can call me whatever you like. Shaji, Zali, Uzali, Shaj... whatever you want." He smiled softly, and it was apparent that he was quite friendly, and that Zeki would probably have little trouble getting along with this push-over. "You're nice, so I'm glad to be your... cousin."

"I guess it was another one of your flings, huh? What were you going to do? Leave the cubs with her?" he laughed, completely joking. He knew Ezeoha had the capabilities to father cubs, actually he said that a lot really. "Luckily for me, I have my little one and my mate."
a brief moment of silence.
"You know I lived with another family before returning here, right? I mean, especially in the condition I was in that time I found you again," he started. He could recall it from the first day he had met Kujack, the leopard he saw as his own father. Though, he could blame Mufasa and his own wander lust for that. If he was not told about the Firekin Deserts and the Mistweaver Vallies, he would not have ran into Kujack and thus be taken off track and gotten himself lost. Though, not all was bad that Kujack found a love and started a new life with cubs of his own. Though, it was strange having a father of another species, but he was kind never the less. It not long after the cubs were born that Ger started to retaliate and kick himself in the rear for being away for so long, torn between promises. "When I came back to the Pride Lands, they had left me for a while... I want to go find them again and well... I cannot take my little with me. I have no idea what dangers I will encounter and I would rather die before letting harm befall him."
"Brother, could you take care of him for me?"
Zeki dipped his head politely with a great smile just like his fathers. He could tell that Shaji will be a wonderful playmate. He moved over to him, pawing at him lightly, almost initiating play.
"You look like me, Shaji. I guess that proves that we are related!" he chuckled. With a wry grin, he swatted him softly and darted away, "TAG!"

He frowned, something about his demeanor sending off a red-alert that Ezeoha had been changed after having his latest litter. "I was hoping that it wouldn't turn out to be another fling. But, she didn't want the cubs, so she left and I have been raising them since. They're good children most of the time. It's just stressful keeping track of them all." It was tough to be a single father of so many cubs. He loved every single one of them, but at times it was hard to provide for them all, to make sure they all got what they needed. Enough food, enough love, enough lessons. He couldn't favor one over the other without some sort of whining fest breaking out. Ezeoha was a perfect father, it just didn't seem like it when he was being stretched to his limits. Somehow he managed to raise them well, despite the mass amounts of children and the lack of a mother.
Ezeoha was an attentitive listener, except for the occassion when he would glance over to Zeki and Shaji to make sure they were fine. But what Ger was asking him could be too much. The older lion frowned, eyes glancing quickly back over to Zeki, as if assessing the cub. He had five children already... could he really be able to raise another? Zeki was around the same age as his other children, and seemed to be a little responsible... Ger was his friend too, in a way, and needed help. Ezeoha did not lack a heart, could understand why Ger wanted to leave Zeki with him.
With a sigh he gave his answer in a low voice, as if regretting his decision already. "Yeah, I'll take care of him. What's one more to my lot?" But it was going to be more work, more then he wanted. Ezeoha just couldn't say 'no' though, despite how bad the situation could turn if he added another cub to his bunch. He had abstained from being with females for this very reason. He wasn't sure he could handle taking on more cubs. It wouldn't stop him from trying now, though.
"Well... wow, I guess I do look like you." He checked every inch of his body that he could see, looking for identical coloring and markings. They had the same golden fur, but lots of Pridelanders had that. Their eyes were also the same color too... He was quite distracted by analyzing himself and Zeki that he barely realized they were playing a game until Zeki was quite a bit away after having tagged him. "Huh? HEY. WAIT UP!" He whined and begun chasing after his cousin.

Ger grinned and jumped at him, nuzzling and licking him quickly before hopping off. He was excited that he could trust his 'Brother' to take care of his treasure, then again, he had to trust him to bring him out here to start with. The male seemed to squeak to himself in happiness.
"Thank you! I swear, I'll help you out when I get back, hell, I'll even keep my eye out for a girl for you. Or something," The father seemed to cheer internally over this and just seemed to beam of happiness. Ezeoha must have been a great father to be able to single pawed take care of five cubs. He knew Ez since he was little and he was surprised in how he gotten himself into such a situation, but somewhere in the back of his mind, he knew this was going to happen. Some how, in some way, it was something similar to this. However, with a female to help him.
"You won't regret it! I mean, Zeki's been with my brothers and he's learned a lot of stuff too! I wanted him to stay in the Pride Lands, it's safest here. And you don't have to worry about him too much, he can hunt small game himself so he can help you. It's not like a father and six cubs, but more of a father, five cubs, and a little helper," Ger just jumped at him again, nuzzled him, thanked him and sprinted off.
I know I won't regret this.
Zeki paused slowly to a halt when his father ran off. Strange... where was he going? Was it another run in the morning or... was he leaving him? Did he not want him anymore? He was his son. They spent cycles together, running in the morning, snoozing until noon, hunting... why did he leave? The red-eyed cub wandered over to the adult whom Ger seem to know.
"Uncle Ezeoha... why... why did my Dad leave?"
