( Sort of a combination of these two settings )
A young lion with fur holding various shades of light pink with a sparkly appearance walked through the jungle. His hotpink wings were held close to his body, and his head was down, pink eyes concentrating on...nothing, really. The young lion heaved a light sigh as he walked, thinking. But about what? Oh, various things. Life, his life, his feelings, how to deal with things, friends, family. But the thoughts that remained on his mind the most were that of relationships and how he could possibly open up to anyone, be it friend, family, or someone he liked, as well as what it was that was exactly holding him back from expressing himself.
Anhur didn't know where he was walking, and when he looked up from the ground he noticed it had changed from dirt and grass to soft sand. The sound of a crashing waterfall reached his pale brown audits, and he noticed that he found himself in a grotto. As he looked around he noticed how beautiful it was, and he walked to the clear waters edge of the pool the waterfall fed into. You could see all the way to the bottom, it was sandy with brown pebbles. This is a great place to come and think. He thought as he sat at the waters edge, feeling it touch the tips of his paws.

Anhur was not alone. A chiefly grey body slinked along in the shade of the tropical trees, a black ringed tail swishing along behind. A dry, thirsty feeling was growing in the lioness' throat. Hearing the roar of the waterfall, Esmerelda changed her course.
She came upon the base of the waterfall a few yards along the shore from the pink-furred lion. It was a bit hard not to notice the bright colors, but she decided to leave him at peace for a moment to get a drink of the cool, clear water.

If it wasn't for the waterfall he would've been able to hear the lioness come to the water to drink from the pool. Lost in his thoughts he almost missed her, but a dragonfly flew infront of his face and his gaze followed it as it flew, he assumed because it was so damn hard to see, to Esmerelda. He was a little shocked, he had thought he was alone, and he had mixed feelings about wanting to be alone and yet...not wanting to be alone.
Looking around to see if there were anymore lions, especially his sister Ilmare and even more importantly Lorendale. He stood and slowly padded over to the ring-tail lemur colored lioness, a little nervous. He wasn't as outgoing as Ilmare or Silren, and Kai was a baby and cute so he didn't need to be. "Uh, hello." Anhur began, a little shy. He was actually older than he appeared to be, he was technically an adult. An adult with what seemed to be growth problems, because he was one of the oldest lions on the island. That is actually very sad.

Almost as if to ruin the mood, a pale green lion cub crashed through the undergrowth. "Hey, hey!! Come back here!" The cub paused for a moment to catch its breath before pouncing after the ever-so-elusive dragonfly. In her eagerness to catch the pretty little insect, she paid no attention to where she was standing which, at the moment, was at the edge of the pool of water. "Aha! I gotcha!" And with that, she attacked.
SPLASH!
"Hey! What happened," asked a confused Minty who suddenly found herself up to her nose in water. Looking around, she saw a pale pink lion addressing a gray lioness whose coat reminded her of these funny little monkeys she saw once in the jungle. ...Oops... The lion took a few steps backward, trying to get back on shore quietly so as to not disturb the two older lions anymore.

Esmerelda lifted her head from the basin and licked what moisture was left off of her whiskers the best she could manage. As she had thought, this was a lion... He just hadn't yet grown his mane.
A small smile appeared on Esmerelda's face. He sounded shy, but there was nothing to fear from this one... Unless there was a threat. "Hello," she said happily, keeping her head lowered just slightly. "I am Esmerelda... Am I intruding upon your terri-" She looked over as she heard the splash and saw Minty. She was a little concerned until she saw the cubs head bobbing out of the water. It seemed that she would be alright... "-tory?" She finished with an amused swish of her tail.

This lioness didn't seem quite like Acantha or his sister, and thank god for her not being like Lore. He gave an awkward smile, and it was clear that he wasn't used to these kinds of interactions yet. So then why did he come up to talk to her? Not thinking probably. He listened to the sound of her voice, still not like the other lionesses he'd met.
"I am Esmerelda... Am I intruding on your terri-"
Suddenly a splash echoed in the grotto, bouncing off the rocks and into his ears. His head snapped around and he saw a little cub had unknowingly jumped into the water and was swimming for the shore. Seeing that she seemed fine, he turned back to Esmerelda. "Oh, no. I don't have any territory." He had never been concerned about territory, but now that he thought about it this would be a great place to live and worthy of protecting. And if he ever created a tribe, that would make his life seem worthwhile. "My name's Anhur." He had almost forgotten to introduce himself, as he was now torn by trying to see if the cub was alright or not, turning his head to look again. "If you'll please excuse me, I'm going to go see if she's alright."
With that he stood and quickly padded to Minty. "Are you alright?" Perhaps it was his caretaker and Ilmare making him help take care of Silren when he was young and now Kaimana that made him more concerned about others, and he didn't really know why. It also puzzled him that he was being like this infront of Esmerelda, but couldn't bring himself to be this way infront of his family and friends.

The gray lioness blinked and dipped her own front paws into the water, leaning forward to get a glimpse at the commotion. She watched Anhur and the cub curiously, but didn't step forward any more. She didn't want to crowd the scene if it only warranted Anhur's help.
She, of course, had no way of knowing that Anhur wasn't normally this open with his concern for others. For all she knew of him, he was always like this. Still, she was a little impressed. A few lions would have completely ignored the poor little Minty's plight.
"Is she alright?" Esmerelda finally called over. She lifted her black and white wings up a little and settled them back down to her sides.

His head lifted as he looked at Esmerelda, who for some reason had stayed where she was and called out to him. "She looks fine to me, just wet." And a little emberassed. Well, he guessed she was emberassed. He knew if he had done that and accidently disrupted someones conversation he would be too. Perhaps it was this place that allowed him to feel open, or maybe he was having a vulnerable moment in what was supposed to be his time of thinking. "Why don't you come over here?"

"Well... Sure, I'll come over." Esmerelda waded in further, the cool water rushing past her legs. It was actually pretty pleasant. 'The water's nice,' she thought to herself, a gentle smile coming to her face. She kept on moving forward in the direction of her fellow lions.
She reached Minty and Anhur and looked between them, wondering what she could possibly do to help. "Did you need something from me?" she asked in a still-soft and cheerful voice, with the smile still on her face.

Uh oh, now he didn't know what to do. If it wasn't already bad for him before, it was worse now. Man how he wished Ilmare would come along and rescue him, she'd be more graceful about it. He tried to keep his rising panic hidden.
Ilmare had given Silren babysitter duty for the day. She had watched Kai almost all week. He wasn't a very wild lion, quiet, reserved, calm, and he liked to play, but after a while you just have to have your own time. Plus Silren's been wanting to watch him since he emerged from his smoothie. But man was she enjoying her free time! The blueberry lime swirl lioness ran through the jungle and flew in the air, unable to do so with Kai, and she loved the feeling. Touching down on the ground, she heard the waterfall and realized she was rather thirsty. Ilmare padded to the river, not knowing that just a few yards away was her brother Anhur. Deciding to see what it looked like, she walked over to the cliffs edge and looked down. "Well whaddaya know? It's Anhur, with a female and a cub!" She exclaimed to herself. "Wait, I've never seen either of those two. Who are they and what are they doing?" Curiosity overwhelming her, she leaped off the cliff, wings closed at her side before snapping open feet above the basin, gliding towards her brother and his new friends. "Hello." She said as she got closer, landing in the water and wading over to them. "Anhur, who are they?"
The pink lion's head quickly turned at the sound of something other than the waterfall disturbing the waters surface. "Ilmare!" He exclaimed, surprised to see her, especially without Kaimana, a wave of relief flooding over him. "Where's Kai?" You could hear the concern in his voice before he shook his head and his normal seemingly grumpy attitude returned. "I mean, this is Esmerelda." He said, motioning towards the ring tail lemur female. "Esmerelda, this is my adopted sister Ilmare. And this-" Anhur looked at Minty. "What is your name?"

((Sorry for dropping off yesterday. Dad booted me from the computer to go make dinner. ^^; ))
Minty was busy shaking out her spotted pale green fur when the pink lion appoarched her. "Huh?" For a moment, she had a blank look on her face as she tried to remember what the question was. "Oh, yeah. I'm fine. Thanks," she replied with a wide grin on her face.
While the lion reported her condition to the gray lioness, Minty returned to licking the moisture from her paws, not paying any attention to the conversation taken place over her head. She paused in mid-lick when she heard wings snapped open and a shadow fell over her. The cub closed her mouth and placed the paw she was licking down on the ground as she looked up just in time to see a green lioness descend into the water.
Sitting up, she watched the whole precess of introductions. Okay...so the pink one's Anhur. The gray lady with the rings on her tail is Esmerelda, and the blue and green swirly one's name is Ilmare. She snapped out of her thought when the lion named Anhur addressed her. "Oh hi there. I'm Minty."

Glad that the cub was alright, Esmerelda looked down to Minty with a smile before hearing a voice and the splash that the landing lioness made. She was shocked at first and readied her claws, but it soon became clear that the green and blue one was familiar to Anhur.
Esmerelda didn't interrupt the short conversation between the newcomer and her brother, but instead stood quietly and surveyed her surroundings. When Anhur got to introductions, Esmerelda looked over to Ilmare. "Pleased to meet you Ilmare," she said politely.

( This time it's my fault, I went to a friends house. xp )
The blueberry lime swirl flavored lioness nodded at Esmerelda in greeting. Another thought occured to her, what was Anhur doing here with this female? She could only assume that they had been alone for at least a couple minutes before Minty had somehow interrupted, and she wondered what her pink furred brother was doing and what they had been talking about. He also didn't seem like his normal grumpy self when she was watching from the cliff of the waterfall, not until she came up to him did he change. "Nice to meet you Esmerelda and Minty." She said, unsure of the situation.
Anhur was guessing what his sister was thinking, and it made him a little nervous. He wished that he had never started talking to Esmerelda, maybe then the whole situation could have been avoided and he could be left to his thoughts in peace without this stress that he seemed to create for himself. "We were just talking when Minty here fell into the water, and then you showed up."
Ilmare was a little surprised that he had actually checked on Minty to see if she was alright. At least, that's what it looked like. Also that he had been talking to someone else, that didn't sound like the Anhur she knew. The lioness raised and eyebrow and gave a questioning look at him, whereupon he gulped, scared of what she might be thinking right now.

Esmerelda looked down at her paws through the clear water. It was becoming pretty clear that this was an awkward situation. But for the life of her, Esmerelda couldn't figure out why. In the mere glances she dared to make towards the adoptive siblings, things seemed uneasy. Perhaps it was her presence bothering them?
Just seconds after Anhur gulped, Esmerelda spoke up, unable to bear the awkward silent for another moment. "I apologise if I'm interrupting something between you two... Perhaps it would be for the best if I took my leave?" She was speaking in the same calm, charming voice that she had been using all along. The gray lioness turned and lifted a paw, slowly, in the direction in which she was planning on heading if they said anything to the effect of, 'Yes, you should leave.'
She looked back at them over her shoulder, trying not to be awfully obvious about not particularly wanting to go. She hadn't had company in quite a while... And yet, what was the point if there would be little more than awkward silence and people acting unlike themselves?

((It's alright V. ^^ Oh and I probably won't be online for the rest of today so...er...yeah. Just letting you guys know. ^^; ))
"Hiya! Minty grinned widely at the blue and green lioness. For the next few moments, the cub could sense something was a little...off. She couldn't quite put her paw on it, but something was definitely different.
When Esmerelda asked if she should leave, the little lion cub stood up and ran over to her. A tiny voice in the back of her head told her that she just got her fur wet again, but she paid no attention to it. Jumping on the lioness's back, Minty shouted, "No!"
