Click for Theme Song. Courtesy of DM Ashura IntroductionHi, my name is AnarchoManiac. I used to RP, but not on Gaia. However, I had gained quite an interest and created my own. First off I created "Paper Hell" on a website called MMOTales.com. It was a huge success. It was about mages in a modern society trying to stop a rebellious organization from attaining "The Pages of Hell". A book with infinite knowledge. I then brought that very RP over to an RP site of mine that I made. However I got bored of it due to a lot of pressure in administrating the site so I gave up on it and passed to over to my friend. However, no matter. I now propose a new RP concept I have come up with. It is my take at the future of our civilization, the RP itself is about a rebellion against the government to finally take it down. You are given magic. You are given technology. Can you finally destroy Big Brother?

The New World Order
In the year 2020 CE, the American Union, the European Union, the Asian Union, and the African Union were finally created. Little did everyone know that 2025 CE, those very Unions would combine to create a One World Government under the name of the United Nations. One would think that the world would finally attain peace, but what is really defined as peace?
Debit cards, credit cards, driver's licenses, and passports were all deemed to be obsolete by all major corporations and the government. If you wanted to get ahead with your life, you would have to get a Microchip embedded in your right arm. This microchip contains all of your information, and would be scanned everywhere you go. The government would know where everyone is at any given moment in time through a series of networks of RFID microchip scanners. Everyone's privacy was taken away from them without the populace even knowing about it. All they thought was that the microchip was a new age device of providing convenience, when in fact they are now watched everywhere they go.
Net Neutrality was finally destroyed. In 2028, the UN was forced to give in to the mass media conglomerates. The internet as we knew it didn't exist anymore and giant corporations were now able to control what you watch on the internet, what website you go on, and what you even chat about. Prominent bloggers who voiced their opinion on this world finally had their mouths shut, Google was blocked and in place, only the search engines placed by your internet service provider could have been used. Youtube videos were either blocked or members were forced to pay money to view the site. Ultimately, companies such as AOL Time Warner, Verizon, Bell, Rogers, and etc were able to control what you do on the internet. You couldn't even create a website without meeting the corporation's requirements. All the freedom on the internets' tubes were finally clogged.
The media however, now controls what you see and what you don't see. No more are the days where you can pull up a random video off of Youtube or Veoh. Now that there are charges placed on what you watch or don't watch on the internet or on television, most of the population sticks to watching regular internet television on sites they can watch for moderately cheap, or heavens forbid: free. The people are now what the tube tells them. There is no other source for news, so what can they believe? There is no other source for entertainment so what can they watch?
The government begins to secularize the world. They try to take away religious right by pushing religious rights. No more can you talk about religion in public. You can, but anyone can simply report you for shoving your beliefs down their throat. Spirituality slowly gets looked down upon until its cast away into darkness by those who claim that "its obsolete with today's world" and "science says otherwise". Spirituality is ultimately destroyed and the world simply looks upon every previous major religion as a myth.
The War on Terror finally ended in 2030. The Middle East was no more but dust and blood. Some say peace was finally attained, there was no more genocide in Africa, the Middle East was "free", and the Islamic terrorists were finally put to rest. However, the UN needed a general enemy that people can direct their hate on. They came to one conclusion: Anarchists.
By the year 2035 CE, most of the world's population bought into the farce. With the term "anarchist" being seen as rebellious, the people of the earth who get all of their information from television ridicule them and cast anyone who has opposing views of the government out of society. If you disagree with what the UN does, the people simply look at you as a radical and mock you for your beliefs. But are those people to blame? No, they don't know any better. Their internet is controlled, their television is controlled. The vast majority would only comply with the information relayed on the tube.
So the government begins creating false flag attacks against major buildings and states that it is the cause of the anarchists. They then blame it on prominent people who oppose the government's policies and then arrest them. However, the government could not do this to everyone. They can't stage false flags attacks anywhere they please. Thus, they begin a new plan.
Anyone that opposes the government or any major corporations simply have their chip "malfunction". They do not know how or what caused it and when they go to get it fixed, they deny their help. With a malfunctioned chip, no more can you function in society. You lose your Social Security Number, so you can't work. You lose your debit and credit card, so you can't buy anything. You lose your driver's license, so you can't travel anywhere anymore. You are as good as dead.

Raison D'Etre 2.0 What is Your Purpose? 2.1 There are two main groups: The Illuminati and The Anarchists. The Illuminati are split into the Board of Directors and the Anti-Insurgency Agency while the Anarchists are split into the Elders and the Insurgents. The objective of this RP is for either the Illuminati to defeat the Elders, or for the Anarchists to defeat the Board of Directors, and the Grand Master, who will serve as the "final boss" if it goes the way of the Anarchists.
The Insurgents are the fighting force for the Anarchists and the AIA is the fighting force for the Illuminati.
The question is who will win? Can the Anarchists free the masses from this dystopia even if it brings society into mass chaos, or can the Illuminati keep order within moderate peace?
You pick your side...
What is My Purpose? 2.2 I will serve as "the system". That is what the DMs or GMs of this RP will be called: the system. While I create a pretty safe bet of a system for you to RP in, I will also play part in this RP as the News Media, the High Chancellor of the UN, and which ever part of the system that may exist.
The thing about me is that I can be influenced by the Illuminati Board Members to have things "go their way". For example, someone would PM me telling me to make a certain event happen in order to draw out the anarchists, etc.
Never mind, the Board of Directors already have an influence on "the system" so to cut down on taking too much time, I leave it up to the Board Members.
However, I will play the Chancellor of the UN, so if the Board wants to do something drastic, it has to go through my character.
However, it may seem "unfair", but it isn't. If you are an anarchist, the system is your enemy. Its also your job to destroy the system, and that will be done if the story unfolds in the way the anarchists want it.
Now, if there are any rules broken in the RP by a member of either side, you should PM me to fix it right up. But chances are that the RPers will know better than to cheat.

Organizations and Classes3.0
Organizations There are a broad array of organizations available to be part of. However, there will be two main ones: The Illuminati and the Anarchists. The Board doesn't refer to themselves as the Illuminati nor does the AIA. The Insurgence or the elders don't consider themselves as anarchists. Illuminati is the name given by the Elders to the Board, while Anarchist is the name given by the Board to the Elders and Insurgence.
The Illuminati 3.1 The Illuminati is an organization consistently shrouded in secrecy. In fact, its existence was disputed since its establishment by conspiracy theorists. However, the Illuminati needed this debate to rage on between the people to make sure that consciously, people would disbelieve its existence. So what were the Illuminati? They are a group of filthy rich bankers who were controlling the world from the beginning of the 1900s. They dwell into the occult at times as well. There are two kinds of Illuminati members:
Level 0 Illuminatus:The Grand Master
Nothing is known about this being. His existence is shrouded in darkness.
Level 1 Illuminatus: The Board of Directors
These are the inner members of the Illuminati. They are the ones who discuss plans to influence government policies and corporate strategies. It usually consists of the most influential government officials, mass media barons, bankers, and CEOs. They are the ones who pull the strings. They are also in charge of the level 2 Illuminati. However unlike the level 2 Illuminati, they aren't as keen on fighting. However, if you want a lot of control in this RP, I suggest becoming a Board member.

Level 2 Illuminatus: The Anti-Insurgence Agency (AIA)
These are the fighters. They are the members who search for rebel groups and extinguish them. However, they do not know about the Illuminati's existence or even their master plan. Their job is just to destroy rebels, anarchists, terrorists, and influential people who do not have chips. They receive intelligence from the head of the organization and then seek the insurgents to arrest or kill them. As you can tell, if you seek action and battle in this RP, become an AIA Agent.
The Anarchists 3.2 The title "Anarchist" is a broad generalization set forth by the Illuminati upon anybody that is our of the norm of society. However The following classes for anarchists exist:
Level 1 Anarchist: The Elders
The elders are people who are usually over the age of 40. They are known to be legally dead in the AIA databases and are also subject to meeting in secret. However, they get by and by in daily life with a hacked RFID microchip that displays the information of another person. They also vaguely know who the main players in the Illuminati are. The Elders are key members of the Anarchists due to the fact that they are the ones who teach the level 2 anarchists procedures on what to do, which members of the Illuminati to kill, and how to kill them. They are the people who plan the revolution. Usually every elder knows the master plan set forth by the anarchists, but when they are caught, they would rather suffer, die, or lie and then tell them the real plan. However, that is not necessarily true since some are prone to telling the truth and getting full privileges with the Illuminati. If you want control over the insurgence in this RP, become an Elder, however you may not be able to fight as well as the insurgents.

Level 2 Anarchist: The Insurgence
The Insurgency is filled with the fighters. They fight for many reasons: lost their job because of the system, for their family, freedom, friends, because they are a convicted felon, or just for the sake of fighting. They are the ones who think outside of the norm and are aware of the government and corporations' wrongdoing. They are trained fighters either by the Elders, by themselves, or dojos. To become a member of the insurgence, one has to be in top physical and mental condition. They are taught by the elders to think freely and to disbelieve whatever information that is relayed from television or the internet. A member of the insurgency isn't necessarily a person who has a disabled RFID microchip, however if the AIA finds out, they might as well turn it off. So as you can tell, if you want fighting and you oppose the government, become a member of the insurgence.
Classes 3.3 There are five main classes that you can use if you are an AIA agent or an Insurgent. They are Fighters, Transhumans, Cyborgs, Purebreeds, and Neo Spiritualists. If you think you can put another addition to the list, just drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do.
Fighter 3.4 Fighters are humans who have no inner spiritual powers, mecha armor, spliced genes, or fused with technology. They are regular beings like you and I who were born naturally and raised naturally. However, fighters are keen on using

Conversion For every SP used, inflict 1 damage to the opponents HP.
RFID H4x0r5 Cause an electric discharge in the opponent's chip in their right arm thus disabling the chip. The opponent may not buy anything until they get another chip. Close Range SP: 30 50 damage
Aim SP: 50 Inflict the damage stated on your ATK.
Reign of Death Combo SP: 100, acc 60% Close Reign Inflict 3x the damage stated on your ATK
Flee Use up all remaining SP to flee from battle. The opponent can not hit you nor can you hit your opponent. If you have no SP, you can not flee. To flee, you must have a minimum of 10 SP.
Transhumanist 3.5 Transhumanists are people who with the use of new sciences and technologies, enhance human mental and physical abilities and aptitudes, and ameliorate what it regards as undesirable and unnecessary aspects of the human condition, such as stupidity, suffering, disease, aging and involuntary death. They do this through bioengineering, cybernetics, and the use of nanotechnology.
Base Stats HP: 700/700 SP: 30/30 Atk: 40, 70% Weapon: Body (punches and kicks) Ammo: Depends on equip Acssry: Depends on equip Unos: 15,000

Nanobot Infection Long Range SP: 20 Fill enemy's body with nanobots. Enemy loses 10 HP each turn until either incapacitation or heal.
Thick Skin SP: 30 Decrease the attack of the enemy to 0 on the next hit.
Bone Crusher Close Range SP: 80, acc 60% 200 Damage.
Flee Use up all remaining SP to flee from battle. The opponent can not hit you nor can you hit your opponent. If you have no SP, you can not flee. To flee, you must have a minimum of 10 SP.
Cyborg 3.6 Cyborgs aren't fused with technology as their science fiction counterparts are. However the very clothing or suits they wear consists of technology that enhances mainly their strength in battle. They can vary from regular teched out clothing or they can even wear mecha suits that can triple their strength.

Purebreed 3.7 Purebreeds are what you can say: test tube babies. They are born through selective breeding by their parents so that they consist of only the best characteristics. However they are still only human with "better genes".

Neo Spiritualist 3.8 Neo spiritualists are those who still continue to piously follow their religion in secrecy so that they aren't mocked by the masses who claim them all to be myths. However, neo spiritualists are able to tap into their spiritual energy and use what people in the past called "magic". They can't necessarily fight with fists and feet, but they can perform various magical spells.

Passive Skill: Spirit Mastery If you have no weapons equipped: Skill Damage + 50

Guard SP: 5 All damage received until your next turn is halved
Fire Charge SP: 30 Inflict 60 damage. Burn enemy and set surroundings on fire.
Deep Freeze SP: 50 Inflict 100 damage. Freeze enemy and surroundings.
Mana Charge SP: 80 Increase damage of next skill by 2x.
Aura Disarray SP: 20 Scrambles enemy's spirit energy. The enemy can not use a skill(except for FLEE) or attack their next turn.
Flee Use up all remaining SP to flee from battle. The opponent can not hit you nor can you hit your opponent. If you have no SP, you can not flee. To flee, you must have a minimum of 20 SP.

Battle System5.0To keep the Battle System as simple as possible, we stick with these main character stats: Name: Name of your Character HP: Your health. When it reaches 0, you’re character is incapacitated and can only be revived by first aid or revival medicine. If you’re HP is more than 0, you may use a potion to heal. Your HP can not exceed the maximum that is stated. Once a character’s HP is 0, he can no more perform actions and can be killed by the enemy if the enemy rolls a 1 or a 6 on a six-sided die. SP:Your “Skill Points”. You need this in order to use special skills or magic. Atk:This is what you will need in order to damage your enemy. It will rely on the weapon you have equipped. For example, it would say: Quote: Dagger Cost: 20 Units Weapon Attack: 20 Accuracy: 60% So what you would do is roll a 100 sided die from the “post action” menu. If you roll between 0 to 60, the opponent takes a hit and it does 20 damage as stated to your opponents HP. If you roll a 61 to 100, then your character misses. Ammo: If you are using a gun, then for every shot, you lose ammo. If its an energy gun, it still counts as ammo, even if it be depleted energy. After your ammo amount, put a comma after which you put in the number of reloads you have left. Accessories: Accessories would add either weapon attack, HP, or SP. This is how it basically goes: What you do when you attack:1. Be sure to have your basic stats listed and updated in the beginning of every post. 2. Make your RP post as nice as possible 3. Make sure you state who you are going to attack and what you are going to attack with be it your weapon or a skill. For example: Attack with weapon 4. Be sure that if the attack you chose has an accuracy rating, then before you click "post", you go to Post Action>Roll Dice>100 Sided>In the box you enter "1". 5. Remember, one attack per post. Meaning that one post = one turn Warning: If your attack had an accuracy rating and you didn't roll the hundred sided die in your post, then your opponent has full rights to completely dodge the attack. What you do when you receive an attack:1. Look at the number they rolled and then look at the accuracy of their attack. If for example their accuracy was 50% and they rolled a 51, 60, 70, 80, 90, or 100, which is not between 0~50 as the 50% accuracy rate dictates, then of course you have the right to dodge the attack. If for example the accuracy was 50% and your opponent rolled a number between 0~50, then you must take the hit. 2. After you either take the attack or dodge it, you may either choose to attack your opponent or flee from battle to a safe haven(using your skill). Location6.0The initial location will be everyone's favourite: New York City. Personally I am not very familiar with New York City since I live in Canada (I've been there like once), but its all good. "Why?" may you ask? Because that is where the headquarters of the United Nations lies, where the Council on Foreign Relations lies, where the Trilateral Commission lies, where Wall Street lies, and etc. New York City is the hub of business pretty much everywhere. If you are an anarchist who wants permission to destroy a certain area, just ask me and I'll make the requirements in order to. However, for the sake of the happenings on 9/11, the New World Trade Center must remain untouched. Items 7.0 There are three main types of items: Accessory, Weapon, and Use. To get a weapon or accessory just RP yourself going into such a store (be it legal store if AIA or blackmarket if insurgent) and buy one. Keep in mind that you may equip only one close range, one long range, and one accessory at once. When do you fight close range or long range? I keep it up to you. Honor system everybody.

Use Items 7.3 To use such "Use Items", you have "Unos". Rather than listing which items you have and don't have in your inventory, which would add far more complications, to use a "Use Item", simply deplete the amount stated on the cost from your Unos and use that item in your turn. If that isn't easy, I don't know what is.

From a very young age, Shirli has been a solid Buddhist, taught the lessons and practices by her grandmother, Karen Cerchnski and her mother, Barb Winters. Her parents always wished for her to keep her beliefs a secret, and the discontinued celebrating holidays and various other practices that they before would do as a family once religios folk began suffering ridicule and discrimination. She did so up until her grandmother became ill when she was nearing adulthood – and her grandmother confided in her how much it hurt her to see her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter to hide and stop sharing something that meant so much to the entire family.
And so, once she could safely do so without having to effect her parents, she resumed practicing and training, and discontinued the silence about what she practiced -- and how she violently disagreed with the government’s whole “science says otherwise” rubbish.
At eighteen, Shirli began chasing down a second dream of hers that closed her into her destiny to fight against the government: video production. Outraged with the media’s intelligence devoid broadcasts, she made it a personal goal to try and convince people they weren’t seeing the whole story and thus moved out of her parents house. Shirli constantly carries various things with her – a digital camera, camcorder and laptop. After all, it’s not that she hates technology and science.. she believes there’s room for both religion and science in an ideal world.
It was within the past year that Shirli joined the Insugence. Appearance:
 Shirli has chin-length, bright red hair that she is constantly dyeing, usually parted to the side. This means generally only one of her gray eyes is showing under a pair of violet glasses. Ever since Shirli became homeless and had her RFID Chip disabled, Shirli is generally stuck wearing the same clothes day after day – red hoodie, black skirt, purple tank [see pic]. The only thing that truly is always on Shirli, however, is a prayer wheel pendant which has been passed down through her family for generations. All in all, she’s average for her age appearance wise, with only a few ear piercings, average weight and an average height of five foot five.
