Hasmonean What kind of music do you like? Mostly rock and metal. But I know that metal's fast so I'm staying away from it until I get better. But any kind of song will do.

Trogdor by Strongbad. I just posted it. no advanced techniques (not even Hammer-ons or pull-offs) and is only the top two strings. Link: TrogdorElectric Funeral by Black Sabbath is easy, though the solo is kinda quick. obviously, there's Iron Man and Smoke on the water, but those're obvious.

Anything by Linkin Park and Green Day, that'll get your powerchordin up, then move into stuff by Three Doors Down, because they use alot of actual chords and (Ahhh forgot the word) picking individual notes up and down chords.

Come As You Are by Nirvana is fairly easy.
So is Beverly Hills by Weezer, and most Green Day.
Oh, and as suggested, Iron Man. First song I taught myself on guitar biggrin

If you're into metal I suggest that you learn "enter sandman" by Metallica. Hetifield's part is simple. Shouldn't take to long to learn. =)
